This famous whisky pub is THE place for malt whisky in Glasgow. The iconic bar, which was built in 1835, has more than 750 whiskies on offer as well as cracking cask ales, proper home-made pies and friendly staff who pride themselves on their ability to find every customer their perfect dram – no wonder people come here from all over the world. The Murphy family – including dad Brian, his son Frank and daughter Geraldine – have owned the bar for nearly a decade and have won many awards - including the Wee DRAM Whisky Bar of the Year Award and Scottish Field magazine’s Whisky Bar of the Year award in 2016, as well as Whisky Magazine’s Icons of Whisky Scotland Whisky Bar of the Year 2019, and AA Pub of the Year Scotland 2018 and DRAM Whisky Bar of the Year 2020. They host regular whisky tastings throughout the year and also established the UK’s first Ladies-only Whisky Club.
