The hotel whisky bar has over 300 whiskies at any one time and is currently No1 whisky hotel on WhiskyBase. The bar is famous for having an incredible collection ofwhiskies not normally available, and are priced fairly to encourage bottle turnover. The wide range also means there is always something for the novice or seasoned whisky drinker to try. The opening of the private dining & tasting room ‘The Vault’ provides astunning backdrop for private whisky tastings or private dining. The hotel and bar is closely linked with Dornoch Distillery owners Simon and PhilipThompson, and as well as having a good stock of bottlings to sell by the measure, the hotel bar sells the distillery gin as well as whisky collaborations with the hotel. The hotel has 22 bedrooms ranging from Standard Doubles to 4 Poster Honeymoon Suites and the on-site restaurant ‘Grant MacNicol at the Castle’ produces high quality dishes using the finest of local Highland produce.
