X CAMO opens up new dimensions of hunting The new X CAMO collection cancels out the laws of perception and provides hunters with unimaginable opportunities: a surface structure which optically dissolves the hunter in their environment has been developed with our “demorphing camouflage”. Nature has provided wild game with warning functions on several sensory levels. Visual perception is expressed differently in comparison with the human eye. This is why visual camouflage is the important factor for hunting. The breath-taking effect of our “demorphing camouflage” has an effect on various species. Up to now perceptual research was aware of three dimensions in order to arrange camouflage patterns: form, colour and space. But the X CAMO collection creates the complete dissolution of the hunter. X CAMO adds the factors time and motion to the basic components form, colour and shape, and thereby creates the “demorphing” principle (form dissolution). It is the decisive advantage over the perceptual behaviour of wild game.
The CAMO demorphing principle The form of the X CAMO designs was created in accordance with perceptual-physiological aspects: They simulate the natural environment and simultaneously dissolve their surface forms into each other. These “chaotic structures” adapted to nature blur with their environment.
FORM COLOUR
X CAMO does not reveal any demarcated colour zones, so that “blurred” and “dissolved” colour areas indistinguishable from their environment are created. We refer to “colour compositions” which adapt to the respective habitat in an unrivalled manner.
SPACE MOTION
X CAMO designs function through their visual structure by blurring the hunter’s motion sequences with the environment of the source of motion. This is a type of slowmotion effect that essentially complicates the localisation of the hunter due to perceptual delay.
Time X CAMO designs create the 3D simulation and visualisation of natural habitat. This is caused by the broad dispersion of the surface material’s brightness levels. This dispersion simulates the light irradiation on natural ensembles and facilitates the “dissolution” of the human contour in its environment.
The factor time occasionally remained unnoticed with camouflage patterns. The X CAMO effect of our demorphing camouflage is revolutionary because it achieves crucial delays in the reaction behaviour of wild game in proportion to space and motion.
Woodland effect This X CAMO design is particularly suitable for areas with enclosed and dense forest vegetation. But of course WOODLAND is applicable in many countries and regions at different times of year and with diverse weather conditions. More on this in X CAMO check.
Savanna effect The name SAVANNA already says quite a bit about its range of application: dry sand, stone and earth formations, steppes and grasslands. This applies to nearly all African hunting grounds. But with SAVANNA, the ideal camouflage also opens up a variety of options in parts of Europe, Asia and South America at certain times of year. MOUNTAIN effect This is the best choice for medium and high altitudes in the Alps, Rocky Mountains or Carpathian Mountains which are mainly characterised by stone and rock formations. MOUNTAIN is also surprisingly well-adapted to forest vegetation and tree structures during the appropriate time of year and weather. More on this in X CAMO check.

The geographical hunting destination gives references to the proper X CAMO design: At first glance, hunters in the USA or Europe can resort to WOODLAND and MOUNTAIN, whereas WOODLAND or SAVANNA seems to be the logical choice in Africa. But basically all three design variations are optimally applicable in almost all countries, depending on vegetation, time of year and weather conditions.
A clever check of the hunting ground is the next step for the suitable choice. If the hunting ground is in the mountains or in dense forests, MOUNTAIN and WOODLAND are suitable. SAVANNA is indispen-

Because of the change of vegetation, different incidence of light and diverse colour spectra, seasons play an important role in the choice of X CAMO designs. For example, MOUNTAIN also functions in barren wintry forests in Europe, whereas SAVANNA can achieve the optimal X CAMO effect during the “Indian summer” in some regions of the United States.

ADDITIONAL MATERIALS Pontetorto fleece Pontetorto is an extremely lightweight fleece with a great heat retention capability. Like all X JAGD products, Pontetorto also has an anti-pilling finish. CORDURA The close fibre compound of fine filament yarns gives CORDURA robustness, abrasion resistance and tearing strength. Even a sharp knife blade cannot damage this material. Pontetorto softshell The external layer offers a mechanical weather barrier and is extremely hardwearing thanks to the laminated membrane layer. It is also wind- and weatherproof whilst being guaranteed breathable. On the inside the warming Pontetorto fleece is impressive thanks to its comfort and function. X JAGD softshell products are perfect for hunting, sport and leisure thanks to their light weight and low-noise materials. Laminates Equipped with a special membrane, the materials separate fluids from gases. Rain cannot penetrate, but vaporising perspiration is perfectly wicked away. Two- to three-layer laminates of outer fabric and special membranes are functional and robust in the outdoor sector. An additionally sewn-in internal lining offers great wearing comfort. With a three-layer laminate the internal lining is directly laminated onto the membrane. Breathability During exertion our body produces up to 1 litre of perspiration per hour. Perceived comfort and performance benefit from the rapid wicking away of the water vapour. The breathability of our materials regulates the moisture-air cycle and ensures a balanced climate when used in hunting. Tencel These fibres are patented cellulose raw materials from the Lenzing company (Austria). The highly functional fibres have excellent moisture management capabilities and are especially skin friendly. They are breathable, light, low-noise, robust, quick drying and are environmentally friendly to manufacture and easy care. HEROX This special trousers- and reinforcements fabric have a high stretch characteristics. There are new standards in abrasion resistance with convincing thermal function. Greatest wearing comfort with soft touch throughout the hole year.
