What is Focus Night “On Tour”
Focus Night “On Tour” is your opportunity to go and see a company’s worksite and its work environment. This enables you to obtain a more geniune understanding of the company’s internal work routines than a regular Focus Night will do. This year’s “On Tour” will go to Ramboll who will organize an evening that will be fruitful for the participating students as well as the company itself.
When and where
“On Tour” will take place on Monday the 5th of October, the week after the regular Focus Nights. The bus leaves at 17:15.

This is a unique opportunity to experience your future workplace or to get a hint of what it is really like to work as an engineer. Do not wait to sign up as there is only a limited number of spots.
Transportation
A bus will take you from DTU Lyngby Campus building 101A at 17:15 to Ramboll’s location in Copenhagen where the company will welcome you. From there on Ramboll will show you how it is to be an engineer in the company. At the end of the event a bus will take you back to DTU.
The Basics
DSE Focus Night (Fokusaften) is an annual event, which is comprised of several evenings, where companies within different themes will be present-ing their respective businesses.

• Mechanical • Software • Engineering Consultancy • Management & Consulting During a Focus Night you as a student will be able to attend two informative presentations from the companies present on the evening you have signed up for. These presentations last for about an hour each and provide an opportunity to learn more about the inner workings of the companies. After the presentations DSE provides a buffet for everyone who signed up for the event in advance. During the buffet you have a perfect opportunity to network with the company representatives in a more informal setting.
Relevant for everyone?
It is never too early to look into the companies you might want to work for in the future, so whether you are a newly started student or are a newly graduate student, a Focus Night offers valuable insights into the daily operations in some of Denmark’s largest companies employing engi-neers. Maybe you will get to network with your favorite company or scout out a new one from amongst the participating companies. It is also a great opportunity to look for a student job, internship or company partner for a project.

Bring your CV and your grade sheet
A CV and a grade sheet gives a quick overview of your capabilities and experiences along with your academic performance. The Pejling 2015 catalog, which is found around campus and on www.pejling.dk, provides a detailed guide for writing a perfect CV.
Study the companies that you are interested in
The first impression is crucial. Study the companies before attending a Focus Night. This way the companies will see you as a serious candidate when talking to you.

DSE Focus Night is arranged by Students Buisness Relations (DSE), which is an independant organization run entirely by voluntary students. DSE has around 100 members divided between two divisions with offices located in Ballerup, Lyngby and Aalborg. Most of the members are engineering students. As an organization DSE offers a lot of benefits and challenges to our members. Not only do we arrange Focus Night, we also organize and conduct the biggest job and career fair in Denmark, the DSE Fair Lyngby, and we produce one of the best job finding tools in the country, Pejling. This means that our members get hands-on experience when it comes to planning and managing major events. DSE has been around for more than 25 years and the relevancy of our events is as great as ever before.

At DSE we do almost everything ourselves. It does not matter if it is graphical design, sales, accounting or PR, the members are the ones carrying out the job. The people in DSE all contribute to the organization in their own way. Besides being beneficial for the future career of its members, DSE also helps to expand the social network at DTU.
