Welcome to the DSE Fair Aalborg 2015 An engineering degree is often considered a safe and direct route to a successful career, and the DSE Fair in Aalborg is an ideal opportunity for both students and companies to learn about the supply and demand situation in the job market. Private and public enterprises are increasingly recruiting engineering graduates, but it is still a good idea for our students to seek information about their options in the job market well in advance of applying for their first job. It is a great pleasure for me, as the Rector of Aalborg University, to welcome you to this yearâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s DSE Fair in Aalborg. This annual fair constitutes an important link between the business community and Aalborg Universityâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s engineering students. It provides an excellent opportunity for companies and students to come together and make contacts that may lead to recruitment - immediately or at a later time. Close links to the business community is essential to Aalborg University, because this cooperation provides important input to our teaching and research activities at the University. Through our cooperation with external partners, the University gains access to new knowledge.

Welcome to the DSE Fair Aalborg 2015 It is with great pleasure, we in DSE welcome you to this yearâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s DSE Fair Aalborg 2015. We hope this fair will strengthen your network and get a better insight in the companies at the fair, so that you might work for them in the future. The DSE Fair Aalborg is your opportunity to meet about 60 companies from a wide spectrum of fields of engineering. At the fair there are relevant companies for most engineering students. Some of the participating companies are well known and global with thousands of employees, others are smaller and might be unfamiliar to you, so use this catalogue to read about all the companies at the fair. One of them might have the job of your dreams! We hope you will use this fair to come in contact with some companies and use the opportunity to talk about your opportunities within the companies: School Project, Student Job, Internship and Full-time Job etc. Regardless of how far you are from graduating, the fair has something to offer, so we recommend that you use this catalogue to choose the relevant companies to visit at the fair and find as much information of these companies as possible, so you can prepare questions before the fair.

In that way, you are prepared when you talk to the company at the fair, you have a way to initiate a conversation, and you will get more useful information from the company. At the fair, some of the companies offer a short presentation of themselves including a question session. This is a great opportunity to expand your inside knowledge of a company in a more informal way. Come prepared! Guide: Before the Fair At the fair you have the opportunity to get valuable connections in the business world, which may help you in future project work and job seeking. To maximize the benefits of your visit to the fair, we would like to provide you with some tips. Read the following and spend some time on preparation and you will be well suited for two fruitful days at the fair.

Concentrate on a subset of companies To avoid running out of steam before you reach the companies you find more interesting, we recommend that you choose about ten companies and visit those. Be selective! You can always visit other interesting companies afterwards.

Prepare a checklist With a checklist of your questions you are certain to get them answered. Subjects may include: How are new employees introduced? What is the company staff policy? How are jobs scheduled? Is it primarily project work? What about research and development?

Describe your ideal future Spend some time figuring out which skills you wish to attain through your studies and job. Imagine how you want your career to look like one year after graduation â&#x20AC;&#x201C; what should you do to achieve this? This mindset provides a solid basis for your talks with the companies.

Explore the websites Explore the websites of your chosen companies to obtain basic information about the company, thus providing you with the basis for a thorough conversation.

CV photo Do you need a photo on your CV? Again this year, DSE Fair Aalborg offers a unique opportunity to have your CV photo taken. Find the photo stand where photographer Kjetil LĂ¸ite is ready with the equipment to complete your CV. The digital photo is of course free of charge. 8 Guide

Stop by our Job Bank Are you close to graduating, looking for a student job, or do you want to know more about the job positions available at the moment, then check out our Job Bank as a part of your fair experience.

Attend a company presentation We strongly recommend attending one or more of the exciting presentations held by some of the participating companies. In 30 minutes, the company provides you with a look into the organisation and current projects. You will have lots of opportunities to ask in-depth questions. You will find a complete list of presentations on pages 30-31.

Bring your CV and job application This shows that you have thought about your job application and that you are serious about your interest in the company. It may be a good idea to bring a short unsolicited job application. It may be advantageous for you to submit an application at the fair or immediately after, this way the company representatives still remember you. If the company refuses to accept your submission at the fair, do not despair. Most likely they want to be certain that your application is not lost in the commotion during the fair. Instead ask for a website or email address for a specific person to whom you can send you application and CV.

Therefore we offer you free transport to the fair Thursday, October 8 from Frederikshavn, Aarhus, Esbjerg, Herning, Horsens, and Odense. To sign up you have to send an SMS* to 1919 and write the name of your boarding location as seen to the left. The return bus will depart from Gigantium at 16:00. Kunderne AET’s primære marked er Europa, og vi har bygget anlæg i Tyskland, Østrig, England, Frankrig, Italien og Skotland. Kunderne sætter stor pris på samarbejdet med AET og kvaliteten af vore anlæg, hvilket illustreres ved, at flere af vore store kunder har afgivet ordrer på mange anlæg hos AET. Den videre vækst AET blev grundlagt i 1996 af 3 medarbejdere, og siden da er der sket meget. Virksomheden beskæftiger i dag knap 100 medarbejdere og vokser fortsat. I takt med væksten har vi derfor brug for

flere dygtige medarbejdere til at fortsætte udviklingen. AET er en meget teknisk funderet virksomhed, hvor langt de fleste medarbejdere er vidensmedarbejdere på højt niveau. Nogle af de profiler, vi primært søger, er ingeniører inden for de forskellige retninger og især el-teknik, styrings- og reguleringsteknik samt maskinteknik. Derudover er vi altid på udkig efter dygtige maskinmestre og tekniske designere. Rammerne for medarbejderne Medarbejderne i AET har gode forhold i virksomheden og nyder godt af fleksible arbejdsformer samt gode muligheder for faglig udvikling. Rammerne er præget af en høj grad af frihed for den enkelte medarbejder - en frihed, der udspringer af en grundlæggende tillid til medarbejderne – tillid til, at den enkelte til enhver tid er sit ansvar bevidst. Denne tillid skaber ideelle betingelser således at vore medarbejdere kan udfolde deres evner, og for de medarbejdere, der er gjort af det rette stof, er der mulighed for at præstere ekstraordinært. Dertil kommer et meget højt informationsniveau og den holdning, at vi behandler hinanden ordentligt i AET. Dette betragter vi som nødvendige forudsætninger for at kunne tiltrække og fastholde de dygtige og engagerede medarbejdere, således at AET kan fortsætte væksten.

AET er en førende uafhængig ingeniør- og entreprenørvirksomhed, som designer, leverer, servicerer, driver og ombygger biomassefyrede kedelanlæg, kraftværker og kraftvarmeværker i størrelsen 25 - 170 MWt. Vores anlæg er kendetegnet ved en exceptionel høj kedelvirkningsgrad og effektivitet, meget høj rådighed, høj brændselsfleksibilitet og lave emissioner.

Cofely Services BCN anlægget på 55 MWt i Frankrig, har en imponerende kedeleffektivitet på 93% og samtidig lave emissioner. Cofely Services GDF SUEZ har siden bestilt yderligere 3 tilsvarende anlæg hos AET.

Western Wood Energy Plant anlægget på 48 MWt var i perioden 2008-2012 det biomassefyrede anlæg i Storbritannien, der havde den højeste rådighed, takket være AET Forbrændingssystemet og AET Biomassekedel.

Helius CoRDe anlægget er et 34 MWt kraftvarmeværk i Skotland, som er leveret turnkey af AET. Den brændselsfleksible løs ning fra AET gør det muligt at forbrænde affaldsprodukter fra whiskydestillerier.

Verdo kraftvarmeværket i Randers blev ombygget til et biomassefyret anlæg af AET. Anlægget kan fyres med 100% biomasse eller 100% kul, eller enhver kombination derimellem via AET Combi Spreaders.

Studenterhuset Studenterhuset is Aalborg’s central gathering point for the students, which houses both a café for quite studying, leisure, and a concert venue for many different kinds of music and events. Studenterhuset is run by volunteer students who work together to create a good atmosphere for students and other guests, everyone is welcome.

Studenterhuset encourages students to participate in volunteer work and connect with students from different fields of study, and there’s always room for more students.

Studentersamfundet Studentersamfundet er for alle studerende ved Aalborg Universitet - og er din interesseorganisation på AAU. Studentersamfundet er tværpolitisk og udtaler sig kun om emner vedrørende uddannelsespolitik eller de studerendes sociale forhold. I stort set alle sager, Studentersamfundet har med at gøre, er det endog særdeles svært at være partipolitisk. Hvilken partipolitisk holdning har man eksempelvis, hvis man ønsker mere forskningsbaseret undervisning? - Eller hvis man vil arrangere en forårsfest for hele universitetet? - Eller hvis man vil gøre det nemmere for

de studerende at finde et fritidsjob. Ud over at vi arbejder for at sikre de bedste mulige forhold, fokuserer vi også meget på det sociale miljø på AAU -og arrangere bl.a. fester, og driver 7 fredagsbarer. Studentersamfundet har rammerne, men det er op til de enkelte aktive studerende at skabe indholdet.

Ungdommens Naturvidenskabelige Forening, Aalborg Ungdommens Naturvidenskabelige Forening, Aalborg (UNF Aalborg) er en non-profit forening, hvis formål er at formidle og udbrede interessen for naturvidenskab og teknologi - især blandt unge. Dette sker gennem bl.a. foredrag, workshops, studieture og ScienceCamps arrangeret af frivillige unge. UNF har fire lokale medlemsforeninger placeret i København, Aalborg, Århus og Odense. De fleste medlemmer er unge på en gymnasial uddannelse, men vi har medlemmer i alle aldre. I Aalborg har vi omkring 15 spændende
