e were delighted to welcome 92 members for the first OMA Emirates Monthly Medal of this calendar year. A huge thank you to all those who turned out to make the event and to support our new captains for 2022, Max Burrow and Beatrice Galeppini, for their inaugural Captain’s Drive-In despite the wet and windy conditions.

As always we would like to thank our fantastic sponsors OMA Emirates for their continued support in 2022 for our Monthly Medal Championship. Now for the results... Despite the most challenging conditions for a monthly medal in recent memory, with strong winds and constant rain showers, Miki Mirza emerged victorious, winning Round 1 of the OMA Emirates Monthly Medal Championship with a superb 68 (-3). Taking the prize for Best Gross score today was Eduardo Galeppini with a very solid 1 under par, 70. Dario Rubio took first place in the Men’s Division A with an impressive 69 (-2). Mike Estafanous stole victory in the Men’s Division B with a brilliant -1, 70, beating Muhammad Siddiqui by just a shot. The Ladies Division was won by last year’s Lady Captain Joy Lirio with a -1, 70, and in his first OMA Emirates Monthly Medal as Club Captain Max Burrow won our Beat the Pro contest on hole 14. Congratulations to all of our winners, very well deserved!
