n store this march we have the much awaited Tileist SM9 wedge from master wedge maker Bob Vokey, trusted by the best in the word such as Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth and Patrick Cantlay, but also the most used wedge on every tour by un-contracted players who choose to play the best.
Vokey offers the most diverse range of lofts and grinds amongst all other brands with 6 different grind options. F, S, M, K, L and D –allow golfers of all skill levels to be precisely fit for their swing type (steep, neutral, shallow), shot making style (sweeper, digger) and course conditions (firm, neutral, soft).
The new design maintains the innovative forward CG to produce a solid feeling wedge that squares up at impact for more consistent results. This really will be the ultimate wedge set up to have in your golf bags this coming season! WHAT YOU SHOULD EXPECT FROM A PROPER FITTING In order to find the most bespoke fit for you as a player these are the keys in which we follow to optimize your results:
GAP FITTING. The proper lofts to gap fit from your irons to your highest lofted wedge. We recommend 4°-6° of loft separation between wedges. This results in more ‘stock’ swings, producing better results.
GRIND AND BOUNCE FITTING. Once the gap fitting is complete, hit all the grinds within the prescribed loft side by side with a focus on swing type (Digger/Sweeper) and course condition (Firm/Soft). This first bounce and grind test is for full swings. GREENSIDE FITTING. Each wedge must have a purpose, and the variety of shots required greenside (bunkers, rough, tight lies, flop shots, bump & run, etc.) creates the need for wedges that can execute multiple shots. We help you choose wedges that complement one another and are capable of unique shots from these scenarios.
PING New for march you will be receiving the Brand new Ping i525 iron range. This is the highly anticipated upgrade from the hugely popular i500 iron model. The features of the new model are a new variable face thickness which has given an increase in both launch and ball speed. 4 extra grooves on the face allows for more ball control and the increase in MOI with the new toe weight for greater accuracy. On site now at Emirates Golf Club we have full fitting kit to take your iron game to the next level.
