H O C H S TA D T E R ’ S S L O W & L O W A modern revival. Born of an historic recipe, Hochstadter’s Slow & Low Rock & Rye whiskey was originally conceived in as a cocktail in the pre-prohibition era, long before the advent of bourbon. A high-test, grown-up whiskey to be savored slow and low. History had laid the foundation for an authentic revival as modern tastes evolved. Cooper Spirits, no stranger to success in the spirits category, sought to expand their portfolio with the addition of this unique American whiskey. The design needed to honor a family recipe while appealing to the whiskey drinker’s spirit: unpretentious swagger. From the name to the unique shape of the bottle, the design pays tribute to a family recipe, the Pittsburgh working class, and the taverns wherein legends are made. The resulting design was released to a limited market in the United States, aimed to make a new generation of whiskey drinkers.
