CAZADORES New and the same, all at once. As one of Mexico’s favorites, it was clear the character of Cazadores tequila was not in question, but its brand expression was. Simply, the brand and the liquid we’re not mutually aligned. There was an opportunity to deliver alignment—while dusting off old-fashioned perceptions that had set in—and expand the brand’s appeal beyond Mexico’s boarders. Refreshing the brand’s equitable assets to enhance its authentic, rugged sensibility and evolving the bottle shape permitted an old classic to reclaim its relevance and up its game in a fiercely competitive market. The new design gave the brand a couple of valuable things: a more premium presence on shelf and a paved path for a price increase, while still delivering superior value.
