SONY GALLERY Engaging the imagination. Until recently, China was a culture closed from the world; a globally iconic brand remained an unknown there. As borders opened, the imaginations of the world’s largest population could be tapped. Sony was late to market and scrambling to meet regulations to play in China’s burgeoning retail market. And so, the idea of the Sony Gallery was born. A showroom designed to introduce Sony’s state-of-the-art image, sound, and play, the gallery was created with the idea of “East meets West.” A branded destination, the gallery presented real time, interactive experiences of Sony’s history and future. It allowed people to engage with the brand as partners in simplifying and connecting many aspects of modern living—work, personal, communication, and entertainment.
