with ex-pupils from Prospect House coming in to talk about moving up to secondary school. Secondly, there are workshops about financial responsibility covering money, debt, bills, stocks and shares. For the third strand we have wide-ranging discussions about how to have a healthy relationship with social media including the benefits and pitfalls of various platforms. Finally, we concentrate on independent travel around London: representatives from TfL come in to talk about modes of transport and navigation before the students go off in small groups to put this into practice! The programme was a huge success in 2022 and we are looking forward to continuing this in 2023 and beyond.

Radnor House

We’re extremely delighted to be one of the first independent schools to become a Peter Jones Enterprise Academy School. The partnership will form one of the building blocks for life skills at our new Kneller Hall School and help develop ‘Dynamic Entrepreneurs’ that will become drivers of growth and the lifeblood of the local, national and global economy. The mission is to unleash young people’s entrepreneurial talent by giving them the opportunity to ‘learn by doing’.

The Radnor House Enterprise Academy will act as a hub for outstanding enterprise provision, where students receive pioneering support to start real businesses and enhance skills in enterprise and entrepreneurship.

The ‘hands-on’ enterprise opportunities will provide our pupils the experience, skills and knowledge needed to build long, successful careers and is a fantastic addition to our extra curricular provision. Entrepreneurship has become a dynamic force in the world economies and will become even more critical given the rapid changes in the last few years.

Peter Jones CBE commented: “I’m absolutely delighted to announce this opportunity for Radnor House to host a Peter Jones Enterprise Academy. I believe all young people deserve a bright future and I started the Foundation with a clear goal: to improve young people’s lives. Good enterprise education is an essential element of this and should be part of all schools”.

Radnor House Prep

Plans are well underway for the opening of Twickenham’s newest prep school, Radnor House Prep School. Radnor Prep will take over Pope’s Villa when Radnor senior moves to its majestic new home, Kneller Hall, in September 2023. Head, Stephanie Piper, has been blown away by the reception in the local community. 262 families registered for the autumn term Open Days with a total of 130 applications so far for entry in the school’s first year of opening. Radnor Prep will provide pupils with an exceptional, forward-thinking prep education with the added benefit of the facilities of a much larger senior school. Few schools have a more stunning location than Pope’s Villa, right on the banks of the River Thames, and Radnor Prep pupils will benefit from all the extra space and outstanding facilities, both inside and outside. These include newly refurbished facilities such as a fantastic new theatre, library, music suites, three specialist STEAM rooms, and break-out spaces for independent learning.

The Pointer School

At The Pointer School, our school council voted on how they wanted to celebrate the life of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Fittingly, they chose that every child in the school should make their own corgi to create a parade of corgis outside the school to celebrate the Queen and her passionate love of animals.

Each child worked hard on their creation, the result was an eye-catching display, it was a pleasure to watch the children excitedly picking out the corgi with their own message on to show their parents outside both our lower and upper schools.
