Contactless curbside pick-up Saturday hours

Curbside pick-up is available for items that are currently held. Request items by placing holds on your account through our catalog, or by calling during readers advisory hours.* In this no-appointment process, please bring your library card and cell phone. If you do not have a cell phone, this is ok. There will be instructions outside of the library to help. Bringing your library card will help ensure a quick and easy transaction!

Computer Use by Appointment

Main Library offers one-hour appointments for the Computer Center. Appointments can be scheduled by calling 218-730-4203 during curbside hours. Same-day appointments may be available. With your appointment, you will be able to: • Use a computer • Print (up to 10 pages) • Scan

Returns are accepted 24/7 at the Main Library. There are bookdrops on the Michigan St. and Superior St. sides of the library.

Bags for kids and teens can be picked up at the Main Library while supplies last. Log reading time, write book reviews, and complete activities to earn badges. With every badge you earn, you win electronic tickets that you can put into the grand prize drawing of your choice. All tickets must be electronically submitted by February 28th. Virtual History Day Hullabaloo

Thursday, January 14 • 3:30 - 7:30 pm & Saturday, January 23 • 10:30 am - 2:30 pm Attend a virtual Hullabaloo to get excited about History Day! Get personalized help from librarians, History Day staff, and mentors During the hours of each Virtual Hullabaloo, you will be able to sign-in to a live classroom presented by Google Slides. You’ll get personalized feedback about your project, use drop-in video help via Zoom, use email help, History Day help chat, and join mini-lessons via Zoom! Duluth Public Library Reference Librarians will be assisting with the Hullabaloos on Thursday, January 14, and Saturday, January 23. Learn more about History Day at www.mnhs.org/historyday. Virtual Storytimes Baby & Toddler Storytime Tuesdays at 10:15 am Videos premiere on the ECRD Facebook page This storytime is a fun way to interact with babies, toddlers, and their grownups. Virtual Master Gardners: Seed Starting

Thursday, February 11 at 6 pm

There may still be snow on the ground, but it is not too early to plant! Seed starting is a great way to get that gardening fix. Learn all about planning seeding and seed starting, so you have the best success possible for your efforts. Presented by St. Louis County Master Gardeners. This is a Zoom Live Event and registration is required. Sign up on our event calendar at duluthlibrary.org.

Curbside Crafts for Kids

Look for Curbside Crafts throughout the months of January and February. These kits are created for kids in grades K-5 and will feature a variety of fun & creative activities! Available during Curbside Pickup hours—while supplies last!

“Love your Gosling” Goosechase February 8 - 15

Did you know that babies and young children learn best through playing and interacting with the grown-ups who love them? When we give them love and attention, it helps our little ones build confidence to explore their world and learn. This goosechase game is designed for children birth-age 5 and their families/caregivers to spend time playing and learning together. Earn points for completing playful missions with your little ones and win prizes!

Do you love listening to a good story? Call 218-626-6500 and choose a story read by familiar library staff. Stories are updated at the beginning of each month. Brought to you by Every Child Ready Duluth and the Duluth Library Foundation.

Starting February 8, download the goosechase app to your smartphone and search for “Love Your Gosling.” Enter the password Duluth and start playing! Prizes available only to Duluth and surrounding area residents.

Teen Craft Kits - FANDOMS! Specifically for teens, these kits will include all the supplies needed to create 4 different fandom craft projects. Fandoms included are: Among Us, Animal Crossing, Harry Potter, The Mandalorian, and Anime. Follow us on @dplteen Instagram for pictures and more information. Registration begins Monday, February 8. Live Unemployment Benefits Assistance Live unemployment benefits coaches are available to help workers determine unemployment eligibility benefits using state and federal guidelines. Filling out the application and finding the right unemployment resources can be overwhelming.
