With bizarre tales of UFOs hovering over the water, phantom ships disappearing into thin air, haunted businesses along the shore, sea serpents, mysterious creatures, and sinister men in black, this program will change the way you view majestic Lake Superior. Recommended for ages 13 and older. Paid for in part by the Minnesota Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund. 11 - Movie: The Meg - 2 pm, Green Room • PG-13 2018 • Thriller/ Fantasy • 1h 52m 12 - Crafts with the Creativity Tank - 2 - 4 pm • Kick off the Winter Reading program with the Creativity Tank! WINTER READING PROGRAM JANUARY 12 - FEBRUARY 23

Starting Saturday, January 12, sign up at www.duluthlibrary.org to participate. Log the time you spend reading and complete winter challenges to earn badges and great prizes!

How to Participate:

Youth: All participants earn a free book when they complete the 10-hour reading challenge and will be entered into the grand prize drawings. Adults: Every adult who registers will be entered into weekly drawings for a $5 gift card to Caribou Coffee and a DPL mug. The more you read, the more chances of winning other weekly prizes to Marcus Theatres, Caribou Coffee, and The Great Harvest Bread Co. Participants can earn entries into additional monthly drawings, as well as the grand prize drawing. You could also win by writing book reviews, downloading books, attending library events, going to a book club or participating in other winter challenges.

Prizes:

We’ll be giving away prizes at select library events and holding drawings for other prizes and library swag throughout the winter.
