Good afternoon and a warm welcome to players, coaches, and officials of Kilmarnock for this afternoon's Park's Motor Group SWPL2 clash. We know what we're getting out of Kilmarnock, we've played them 3 times this season already, every time being a hard task to get through each assignment, they are always keenly contested games and we know how tough it's going to be for us. There was a disappointment within the team after getting beat by Hearts last Sunday but we've worked hard in training to rectify what went wrong, when you get beat then you learn more about yourselves and also learn more about a team. It's important that we maintain the focus on ourselves and concentrate on the job in hand, there will be times when you drop points or lose games but it's how to react to it that is an important part of football. We know what we are capable of going then we can come away from the game happy, we have to be respectable of Kilmarnock, Kilmarnock are a good side who can play a bit of football but can also mix their play as well which is similar to our style of play. I don't think last week will affect the girls, we played well in the 2nd half, I would much rather have results than performances in the bag but we have experienced players in the group, we have another difficult game today against Kilmarnock and we need to be on our guard from the word go. The club is in a good place right now and when I took the job on, I understood there were gaps to fill, some of which we have filled both on and off the park, we are keen to bolster if they are the right fit for the club as we look ahead to the longterm. Enjoy the game,

Graeme

A View From The Dugout With Graeme Hart

Good afternoon and thank you to everyone who has attended today’s Park’s Motor Group SWPL2 match against Glasgow. It will be another competitive game against Kilmarnock, they are always up for it whenever we play them and I'm sure they will still be on a high from their Scottish Cup win at Montrose last weekend. From our perspective, we were disappointed in the outcome against Hearts last weekend but I think there was a lot to take from the game, there were mistakes made all over last Sunday but it's ones that are easily fixed. There's a lot of positives to take also from the game. We competed well for most of the 2nd half which showed us that we are capable of competing with SWPL1 teams. Attention turns to today against Kilmarnock, however, and we are very proud of our unbeaten record so far in the league, it has allowed us to gain great momentum as the season has progressed, the girls are eager to continue this and bounce back from last weekend. We fully respect Kilmarnock however and are well aware of their strengths as a squad. Although we have come out on top in our previous meetings with the Ayrshire club this season, we have had to work hard and be on our game to claim all 3 points. Thanks again to everyone for their support, the girls are continuing to work hard. We are all keeping focus towards an end goal. Enjoy the game,

Megan

Sunday 30th January Regional Performance Centre, Dundee 2.45pm Three changes from the previous week’s win over Boroughmuir were made as Megan Burns, Erin & Laurie Ross were replaced by Cassie Cowper, Chloe Clemison and Luisa Ballach. Glasgow threatened early on as Sophie McGoldrick forced Lauren Perry into a save and from the resulting corner three shots were blocked by the United defence.

Three minutes after the break Harkin saw a 30 yard strike tipped over the bar before McGinley fired inches wide. Despite United’s chances, it was Glasgow who were to put themselves ahead when Kaitlyn Canavan headed home at the back post.

Graeme Hart’s side were behind for all of eight minutes as they pulled themselves back level; McGinley saw her free kick parried by Andrews and Referee Chris Bonnar pointed the ball fell to Rachel Todd to to the spot in the 22nd minute grab her sixth of the season. when Cassie Cowper’s shot was handled by a defender. The scores were levelled just after the half hour mark; a cross into the box was parried off the line by Perry but Cara Henderson was on hand to bundle the ball home.

Chloe Clemison came close twice in quick succession when she headed wide from two corners inside two minutes.

Tammy Harkin almost doubled the lead four minutes later as her cross cum shot was pushed round the post by Andrews.

With twenty minutes remaining Harkin was unlucky not to find the back of the net before McGinley was denied yet again by Andrews. As the game edged into the dying moments scorer Todd hit the side netting while the final chance of the game fell to the winger again but she failed to find the target.

Sunday 13th Febuary Oriam, Edinburgh 3.00pm Graeme Hart made two changes from the draw against Glasgow as Robyn Smith and Luisa Ballach were replaced by Erin Ross and Megan Burns.

Danni McGinley also failed to find the target from outside the box before Eilidh Begg was denied by Perry at the other end.

The first half was almost certainly not one for the history books as neither side could break the other down in the first 40 minutes, other than Mariel Kaney who saw her shot hit the top of the crossbar just after the quarter hour mark.

Chloe Clemison dragged her effort wide after some good solo work by McGinley in the 68th minute.

Hearts took the lead four minutes before the break as Erin Rennie found space inside the box to slot past Lauren Perry. Just sixty five seconds after half time United were level; they were awarded a free kick which was sent towards goal by Cassie Cowper, Tammy Harkin’s header hit the post but Jade McLaren was on hand to net the rebound.

Hearts started to get themselves back into the game again and retook the lead with sixteen minutes remaining. Jenny Smith received the ball on the right wing and drove towards goal before firing low past Perry. Perry was in fine form to deny Beth McKay and Marie McAneny late on while United couldn’t covert any pressure into chances as they exited the Scottish Women’s Cup at the fourth round stage.

United can take positives from running a top flight side as close as they did This gave United momen- with the club’s aim to be tum and they began to playing in that league dominate proceedings as next season.. Harkin fired over the bar.
