The Ferrari California T started its life out as the 149M Project. In this “project” state, not much was known about the car other than the fact that Ferrari was releasing something new and exciting. Speculations ran wild across the internet as to what the car could be until the project’s true identity was unveiled as the Ferrari California T on Feb. 3. Most will notice the “T” found at the end of the model name, and while it may only be one letter, it makes all the difference in the California model. This T stands for “turbocharged,” because the California’s 3.9-liter V8 now packs a twin-turbo setup. With the added turbochargers, the California T now has 552 hp and 557 lb-ft of torque, a dramatic increase over the base model’s 483 hp and 372 lb-ft. All of this power now allows the turbocharged California to race from 0-62 mph in 3.6 seconds and reach

a top speed of 196 mph. A specification that will go over well with those looking to save on gas is the fuel consumption, which is now 15 percent less than its predecessor. A new steering box and suspension set up were also included with the California T, providing reduced steering wheel activity and improved steering response to driver input. The new springs and Magnaride dampers, which now respond 50 percent faster, work with the body motion accelerometers to decrease body roll and pitch for precise handling and a flatter driving experience. Though it had been a while since Ferrariâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s last turbocharged vehicle, the Ferrari F40, was introduced in 1987, the wait for the California T has definitely been worth it.

Finished in the seldom-seen hue of Giallo Modena, this particular example of one of Maranelloâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s most storied creations is a sight to behold. Of the 400 Enzos produced, fewer than 30 were painted yellow and of those, only 11 are thought to currently reside in the United States. The allblack interior perfectly complements the outrageous yellow bodywork and is fitted with the accommodating large-size racing seats. Having covered just a shade over 2000 miles since new, it goes without saying that this yellow Enzo is in exceptional cosmetic and mechanical condition.
