EALING'S GREENCHAMPION
MARY HORESH IS INSPIRING A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE ONE PATCH AT A TIME
ary Horesh, a passionate environmentalist, crafter, and mum is the driving force behind two of Ealing’s most impactful sustainability initiatives the Ealing Repair Café and the Acton Market Reduce and Recycle Hub. Her commitment to waste reduction, mending, and recycling has earned her local hero status, recently recognised with the prestigious BBC Make a Difference Green Award.
Mary’s journey started humbly with a small group of mum friends in Northfields, where they began hosting sessions focused on teaching people to repair their clothes using techniques like patching and darning "I’ve always been involved in
environmental campaigning," Mary explains "But setting up the Repair Café was a way to give people practical actions they can take themselves engagement leads to change "
From those early days, the Repair Café has grown, with volunteers helping to mend 267 items last year alone "We want people to value their clothes more, buy less, and hopefully opt for better quality," Mary shares Her work is also a direct response to the rise of fast fashion and the environmental toll of clothing production, particularly cotton, which she describes as having drained the Aral Sea dry Through the café, she hopes people will realise that by extending the life of their clothes, they can reduce the pressure on producers and lessen their environmental footprint.
In addition to the Repair Café, Mary also spearheads the Acton Market Reduce and Recycle Hub, a monthly event that encourages locals to recycle, repair, and reuse items like clothing, small electricals, and books "We provide easy steps to a waste-less society, simple things we can all engage with," Mary explains The hub has steadily grown from six groups to twenty, with ten making regular appearances each month It recently gained national recognition when it won the BBC Make a Difference Green Award, an achievement Mary says has energised both her and the volunteers "We rarely get to celebrate what we do at the hub Our volunteers are the cogs that make everything happen "
For Mary, the goal is to spark conversations and inspire others to take small, actionable steps toward sustainability "Take the first step, whatever it is," she advises. "Whether it’s mending your favourite t-shirt or riding your bike instead of driving, every little helps If we all attempt a sustainable lifestyle imperfectly, we’ll have a far bigger impact than waiting for perfection "
Mary’s passion for sustainability and her unwavering dedication to teaching others how to make positive changes in their lives continues to ripple through the community, making her a true environmental champion in Ealing

COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT
PO-YEE LAI, CORPORATE PARTNERSHIPS
MANAGER AT CITY HARVEST LONDON
When I first discovered City Harvest London, I was between jobs after a redundancy during lockdown. I felt drawn to giving back to my community, and when I volunteered with them for the first time, I was moved by their mission and impact Founded in 2014, City Harvest began with a single van and a simple goal: to stop edible food from going to waste while so many Londoners struggled to access regular meals Today, we ’ re delivering over 1 2 million meals monthly, helping around 123,000 people across London every week
City Harvest rescues surplus food from farms, wholesalers, manufacturers, and retailers and redistributes it free of charge to more than 375 community partners These include food banks, hostels, soup kitchens, mental health charities, and family centres across London By preventing food waste, we ’ re not only providing immediate support to those facing food poverty but also helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions associated with food sent to landfill. Our impact reaches far beyond just feeding people; we ’ re creating a healthier, safer, and more connected London, one meal at a time
My journey with City Harvest has seen me go from managing food sourcing to now working closely with our corporate partners Over time, I’ve seen the essential role our drivers play in this mission; they’re the heart of the operation, connecting communities and delivering food to those who need it most Our roots are firmly planted in
west London, particularly the Ealing area In fact, our first routes started in Acton, where we ’ ve built strong bonds with local partners such as Acton Homeless Concern and Ealing Soup Kitchen Today, we support 27 projects in Ealing alone, reaching over 6,800 people each week.
One of our partners, A P P L E , is a charity in
Acton Park that provides free activities, excursions, and cooking classes for local children and families They describe how some children arrive shy and undernourished, but within weeks, they become more confident and feel cared for. Thanks to City Harvest’s support, A P P L E can redirect funds towards art supplies and activities instead of food “With City Harvest providing us with so much food, we can redirect our funding towards other things we need for the families we support,” says Abi Leitao, a project worker at A P P L E
Our work relies heavily on donations, food
contributions, and the commitment of our volunteers Every £1 donated helps us deliver four meals to those in need We’re always in need of pantry staples tins, pasta, rice, and pulses long-lasting foods that can be distributed to people across our network If you’d like to host a food drive at your school, workplace, or within your community, we can even arrange to collect donations from you
Volunteers are also at the heart of what we do. Without their help sorting, packing, and delivering food, our operations wouldn’t be possible Whether you want to help regularly or just occasionally, you’d be making a real difference in people’s lives. With the cost-of-living crisis worsening, more people are making difficult choices between heating their homes and feeding their families Our 375+ partners across London are seeing longer lines of people needing food parcels and hot meals By supporting City Harvest, you ’ re helping Londoners access the nourishment they need and preventing food waste from harming our planet
To get involved, whether by donating, volunteering, or setting up a food drive, please visit us at cityharvest.org.uk – together, we can keep rescuing food and feeding London’s communities
Mama Haven is hosting two Family Christmas Parties in December to spread some cheer during this busy season, with each child receiving a special gift from generous partners This year, they also hope to offer gifts to the mums they support and would be deeply grateful for any donations to make this possible.

TOP TIPS FOR GLITTER MAKEUP WITH LOCAL MAKEUP ARTIST REBECCA REID
1. Loose Glitter: Use a glitter primer and a small, dense brush for the best results "Apply primer where you want the glitter to stick, then pat the glitter on top for a bolder, longer-lasting look," says Rebecca, who recommends NYX glitter primer for a vibrant finish
2. Pressed Glitter: Skip the brush and use your fingers For glittery eyeshadow or pressed glitter, fingers offer better control and pickup, making it easier to get that shimmering finish

HOW TO SPARKLE AND SHINE THIS SEASON
NEWYEAR, NEWAPPROACH
MY JOURNEY ON EMILY FAWELL’S 10-WEEK WEIGHT LOSS PROGRAMME
As the new year approaches, gyms fill up and weight-loss programmes reach capacity as people chase the “New Year, New You” ideal But for anyone hoping for a more realistic, sustainable approach to health this January, I’ve found a promising option with nutritionist Emily Fawell’s 10-week weight-loss programme I’m currently halfway through, and it’s been an eyeopening journey that’s already brought tangible results 9 pounds lost over five weeks, averaging just under 2 pounds a week, in a way that feels manageable and balanced
Like many, my weight had crept up over the past few years, fuelled by a mix of age, stress, and a tendency to self-soothe through food When I met Emily at a networking event, I was curious to learn more about her approach, which goes
beyond typical “diet rules.” Emily combines a low-carb eating plan with positive psychology, which makes for a refreshing departure from restrictive diets that are hard to maintain She’s developed brilliant resources specifically for this programme, including a Nutrition and Wellness Journal, an array of delicious recipes, meal plans, and even exercises designed to help us tap into our own motivation.
When asked about the first steps towards better health, Emily suggests looking at your sugar intake and slowly cutting back on “added sugars, ” as well as reducing high-sugar foods “Sugar disrupts our blood-sugar balance, leading to cravings for more sugar, fuelling inflammation, and contributing to weight gain It’s void of nutrients, like vitamins and minerals,” she says, underscoring the importance of
healthier swaps, such as fruit, nuts, and savoury snacks
The programme adapts to individual lifestyles, with each weekly session covering topics directly linked to weight loss Emily explains, “We explore stress, sleep, and metabolism Participants set three weekly goals one for weight loss, one for fitness, and one for self-care all tailored to their own circumstances.” The personalised goals, small group size, and access to a supportive chat room provide a structure that many find motivating, especially given Emily’s guidance on applying each week’s learnings to real-life situations
Emily’s resources, like the Nutrition and Wellness Journal and “My Healthy Life Plan,” encourage participants to reflect on their progress and reinforce consistency She shares, “A big part of weight loss success is due to developing new habits, which takes time and motivation. The journal helps you stay on track and motivated ”
Each week, we meet virtually on Thursday mornings, where she sets realistic goals across three key areas: weight/body fat, exercise, and self-care To keep things interesting, she also issues a weekly challenge anything from a “ no alcohol” week to increasing daily steps or setting aside “me-time.” These small, achievable goals make the programme feel personal and build a sense of accomplishment, which is particularly motivating
For anyone considering a fresh approach to health and weight loss, Emily’s programme is a practical, realistic path It’s not about crash dieting or denying yourself; it’s about steady, sustainable progress and building habits that last. As I continue through the remaining weeks, I feel motivated by how I’m eating, the structure of the programme, and the weekly community support and I’m genuinely looking forward to seeing where it takes me by the end of the ten weeks Emily’s next online group weight-loss programme starts on January 13th, 2025 Visit www 4wellpeople co uk for details, or email emily@4wellpeople.co.uk to secure a place In addition to the online programme, Emily offers face-to-face coaching at Bridge to Health in West Ealing

THREE LOCAL FACIALS
ELEMIS FACIAL, THE PRETTY PARLOUR
From the moment I stepped into The Pretty Parlour, the peaceful ambiance set the tone for one of the most relaxing facials I’ve ever experienced Ruby, the skilled facialist, welcomed me with a warm smile and began the treatment by encouraging me to take a few slow, deep breaths, which instantly relaxed me Her calming presence and expertise made me feel I was in the best possible hands
The treatment itself was a luxurious sequence of steps, each designed to cleanse, nourish, and rejuvenate my skin Ruby started with a double cleanse to remove any impurities, followed by a gentle exfoliation to smooth the skin’s texture. A refreshing tone mist brought a hint of hydration before the steam treatment, which helped open my pores while Ruby massaged my hands and arms an extra touch that made the experience feel indulgently restorative A mask was then applied to revitalise my skin while Ruby worked magic on my shoulders and chest with her expert touch The final steps included a face and eye massage, a relaxing scalp massage, and a touch of lip balm
Throughout the facial, Ruby incorporated a host of luxurious Elemis products, each one more delightful than the last. Beyond its focus on beautiful skin, this facial emphasised pure relaxation, with Ruby dedicating time to my feet, hands, and arms to ease away any remaining tension By the end, my skin felt incredibly smooth, bright, and radiant, and I left feeling completely rejuvenated This facial at The Pretty Parlour was truly transformative my skin looked calm, glowing, and wonderfully refreshed

DOPAMINE DECOR
BRINGING JOY INTO YOUR HOME
In a world where our homes have become sanctuaries, the concept of "dopamine décor" has emerged as a vibrant, emotion-driven approach to interior design Characterised by bold colours, eclectic patterns, and textures that spark joy, this trend is all about creating spaces that make us feel good a natural extension of the feel-good dressing concept popularised in fashion. But how can homeowners bring this mood-boosting design into their homes while balancing personal style with functionality?
We spoke to three local interior designers Tara Rodrigues, Anthony Ray, and Stephanie Gilsenan from Studio 95 who share their take on the rising trend and offer expert advice on how to infuse spaces with dopamine-inducing elements
The Power of Personal Connection
At the heart of dopamine décor is the idea that interiors should reflect personal joy Tara Rodrigues explains, “A combination of art, decor, and personal objects can be a powerful way to trigger a release of dopamine Creating an inspired scheme with energising colours will vary depending on your connection to particular hues, but we all tend to have at least two colours that make us feel happy ” Tara emphasises the importance of natural light and sentimental objects, as well as incorporating plants to promote joy and relaxation For her, it's about creating a space that resonates with the homeowner’s personality while enhancing well-being.
Anthony Ray echoes this sentiment but places a strong focus on the impact of colour and light. “Colour has a profound effect on mood, influencing feelings of happiness, relaxation, and creativity Bright colours like yellows and oranges evoke excitement and joy, while calming blues and greens promote relaxation ” Anthony also stresses the importance of natural light, explaining that it can make a space feel more energised and pleasant, helping to create an uplifting environment
Bold Design, Balanced Impact
Bold colours and patterns are the hallmarks of dopamine décor, but achieving balance is key to avoiding sensory overload. Stephanie Gilsenan from Studio 95 explains, “Different colours can influence mood, emotions, and even physical well-being While warm colours like reds and oranges can feel cosy, they can also be stimulating in large amounts Cool tones like blues and greens tend to be more calming.” Her team regularly incorporates bold palettes think sunshine yellow or magenta pink while maintaining harmony through careful layering of textures and patterns
In her own home, Tara has embraced bold design elements. “I incorporated a bold mural in my living room with colours and images that I find fun and inspiring, each with a personal meaning For example, the angel wings represent my late father and make me feel at peace every time I think of him ” She demonstrates that dopamine décor doesn’t just enhance well-
being it can also create deeply personal connections between individuals and their spaces
Anthony’s work at Ascot Racecourse also reflects the power of bold design He transformed a hospitality box with a rich green colour palette, chosen for its calming and grounding qualities “The green provided a soothing backdrop that made guests feel comfortable and at ease, while decorative moulding added texture and depth,” he shares This thoughtful combination of colour and tactile elements allowed him to enhance the emotional well-being of the space ' s occupants
Small Changes, Big Joy
For those who might feel overwhelmed by bold design choices, starting small can be a game-changer Stephan recommends using strong accent colours in accessories l cushions, throws, or planters. “A colourful patterned wallpaper on a feature wall or alcove is an easy way to a instant colour, pattern, and personality without it becomi overwhelming,” she advises Tara adds that experimentin with pops of colour in items like candles or vases is a gre way to ease into dopamine décor.
Anthony also suggests incorporating bold design elemen unexpected places, like inside cabinets or on doors “Personalising with meaningful items and layering one bo element at a time such as a statement piece or wallpap helps create a joyful yet balanced home that evolves o time ”
The Role of Texture and Materials
It’s not just colour that plays a role in dop texture and materials are essential too “ materials engage the senses in a dynam Anthony “Rich textures like velvet or line and comfort, making spaces feel inviting Stephanie agrees, highlighting how mixin silk cushions with natural materials like b can create a tactile environment that en well-being
In a recent project, Stephanie transforme cosy, dopamine-infused retreat by using palette and rich velvet accents “We add quirky parrot prints for visual interest and like velvet and metallic wall coverings to yet calming space, ” she explains.
Finding Your Joy
For those ready to embrace dopamine d make it personal Tara, Anthony, and Ste the joy in design comes from creating sp who we are Whether it's a bold mural, a collection of beloved objects, dopamine crafting interiors that make us feel good into a room
So, whether you ' re ready to dive into bol want to experiment with a few playful ac advice from these local designers offers creating a joyful, feel-good home one d a time.
EALINGFILM FESTIVAL
A CELEBRATION OF CINEMATIC TALENT
The red carpet is set, and the awards are ready for the spotlight! This November, the Ealing Film Festival returns for its fifth year, showcasing a stunning array of films from across the globe. Running from 25th - 30th November, the festival will take over key venues in Ealing, including Picturehouse Cinema, ActOne Cinema, The Ealing Project, and Pitzhanger Manor
Ealing, known as one of the birthplaces of British cinema, has long been home to the iconic Ealing Studios, famous for its classic films
Today, the Ealing Film Festival is helping nurture a new generation of filmmakers, offering a platform for emerging talents Since its inception in 2020 when it had to be held online due to the pandemic the festival has grown significantly, evolving into an in-person event while maintaining its online accessibility From animations to experimental films, EFF has received an impressive 458 submissions this year, representing over 40 countries With such a broad international scope, the festival remains committed to honouring its local roots by providing special recognition to films made in and around Ealing As excitement builds for this year ’ s event, we sat down with festival founders Peter Gould and Annemarie Flanagan to talk about its growth, challenges, and future.
The Ealing Film Festival has grown significantly since its inception in 2020. What are some of the biggest challenges and triumphs you ' ve experienced in organising the festival, especially as it transitions from an online format to in-person screenings?
Initially, we faced the challenge of launching a film festival during the Covid pandemic, when the country was locked down But the positive response to our online festival in 2020 encouraged us to move to in-person events as soon as possible Coming out of Covid, we had another challenge Ealing didn't have a cinema at that time So, we hired a
church hall, brought in a projector, and created our own cinema! Since 2022, we ' ve been able to host the festival in Ealing’s new cinemas. While in-person festivals require more organisation, filmmakers love seeing their work on the big screen and meeting their peers It's been a learning experience, but our local venues have been incredibly supportive, and we feel that, as we approach our fifth year, the festival is truly on the map
With a record number of 458 submissions from over 40 countries this year, how do you ensure a balance between showcasing local talent from Ealing and the broader international entries?
From the start, we ’ ve been aware of the need to balance support for local filmmakers with providing a platform for the global filmmaking community We accept entries through Film Freeway, a global platform, and over the past five years, we ’ ve received 1,600 films from seventy countries. Ealing’s cinematic history definitely attracts filmmakers to submit their work, but we ’ ve always included a ‘Homegrown’ category for people living or working in the borough Last year, we dedicated an entire evening to these films at ActOne Cinema, and the event was a sell-out It’s important for us to encourage local talent, but we also love discovering films from other parts of the world, which offer insights into different cultures
Ealing has a rich film history, with its connection to Ealing Studios and British cinema. How do you see the Ealing Film Festival continuing this legacy while also creating space for innovative and experimental filmmaking from the next generation?
Ealing Studios is still thriving and remains a hub of creativity for both film and television We are very proud of that heritage, but our festival is about looking forward We aim to provide a platform for the next generation of filmmakers, helping them to get their work
seen and their voices heard You don’t need a huge budget to make a great film you just need a good idea and the ability to tell a compelling story By screening films from emerging talent, we are continuing Ealing's legacy while also embracing the future of filmmaking.

CAROLINE BRANGE, EALING WINE CELLARS
My journey to founding Ealing Wine Cellars began with a dual passion: a deep-seated desire to be an entrepreneur and my enduring love for wine, sparked in 2005 in Mexico City (an unexpected start for a French national!) For the past decade, Ealing has been my home, and as a sommelier and wine professional, I’ve always been eager to unearth exquisite bottles from artisan winemakers Finding such gems locally, however, was near impossible – until the pandemic spurred me to finally pursue my entrepreneurial dream While the perfect site remained elusive, Ealing Wine Cellars (EWC) took shape in 2022, and our launch was followed by direct imports from outstanding wineries Initially focusing on B2B, I supply some of London’s iconic fine-dining spots like Core, Hakkasan and Murano, to name a few. This year, I expanded to local consumers, launching an online platform to showcase the 15 artisan wineries I represent and hosting tasting events right here in Ealing
Our philosophy is rooted in partnership with winemakers who see themselves as custodians of the land, crafting wines true to their terroir and vintage through organic and biodynamic methods These skilled artisans are the bedrock of our values: quality and expertise in our selection, authentic relationships with winemakers, and an enriched experience for customers who seek more than just a bottle I’m dedicated to delivering our unique range, from Champagne and Burgundy to Barolo and Vermentino, to Michelin-starred tables and local wine enthusiasts alike, with prices starting at £15 and a generous selection around £25-£35 We even carry mature bottles from iconic producers for connoisseurs Our minimum for free delivery is £175, and we offer convenient collection from our office with a 48-72 hour delivery window. Julie Middleton & Vanessa Green from W7 Boutique share a similar sentiment: “At W7 Boutique, we love Hanwell as it has such a wonderful and friendly community atmosphere All our customers become friends, which makes living and working in Hanwell a very special place ”

Polka Kitchen in Ealing Broadway’s Dickens Yard feels more like visiting a Polish home than just dining out With roots firmly planted in the Polish community, Polka carries on a legacy that began 15 years ago, first as a small café, then as Sowa Restaurant & Pâtisserie on High Street Now, owners Ania and Chris proudly offer this expanded location, inviting the Ealing community into a dining experience that truly celebrates Polish hospitality.
The restaurant space, which is large and lively, mirrors the warmth and bustle of the Polish community around Ealing’s iconic high street church For those of us with Polish roots, Polka evokes a delightful nostalgia The moment my fork breaks through a pillowy pieróg, I’m back in my Babcia’s flat, with memories of my cousin boasting about his ability to devour plate after plate of pierogi. Polka’s pierogi are handmade daily, and you can even watch them being prepared, adding an authentic touch to the dining experience My personal favourite, the potato, cheese, and onion dumplings, took me straight back
to family gatherings They also offer inventive options like wild boar with chanterelle sauce a clear crowdpleaser.
True to Polish traditions, Polka’s menu is as comforting as it is substantial, including classics such as beef roulade, steak tartare, and duck, all crafted with local ingredients Their żurek, a rich Polish sour soup, perfectly balances a tangy warmth, ideal as winter approaches And, of course, no Polish meal would be complete without a taste of something sweet like the Szarlotka, the delicious traditional apple cake.
Dining at Polka Kitchen is an experience that feels celebratory, and it was only fitting to bring my mother here to mark our shared November birthdays, just before the Christmas season For us, Christmas is especially Polish, celebrated with the time-honored Wigilia meal on Christmas Eve Polka captures this spirit effortlessly, offering a place where traditional Polish flavours and warm familial ambiance meet. This family-run business is a gem in Ealing, and thanks to Ania, Chris, and the friendly team including their chef, Ania's brother Marcin, and daughter their tradition of Polish culinary excellence lives on here
Polka Kitchen isn’t just a meal; it’s a moment steeped in tradition, family and community. For anyone who wishes to experience a taste of Poland in the heart of Ealing, Polka warmly awaits

HOWTOHAVEA DRYCHRISTMAS
EMBRACE A JOYFUL, ALCOHOL-FREE FESTIVE SEASON
Christmas is often synonymous with overflowing glasses of bubbly, but the holiday season doesn’t have to revolve around alcohol As local sobriety coach Gill McKay explains, while alcohol and celebration are often closely linked in our minds, it's entirely possible to enjoy a fun and meaningful Christmas without a single drop of booze Here are some strategies and tips to help you celebrate the festive season alcoholfree, and embrace all the joy and connection it brings.
Break the Alcohol-Celebration Connection
One of the first steps, McKay advises, is to break the association between alcohol and having a good time "We have such strong associations with alcohol and celebrating, and the festive season is way up there with birthdays, weddings, and even toasting a new baby," says McKay But she reminds us that celebrations are about the people, not the drinks "The people are the main event, not the sideshow!" Rather than focusing on what you ’ re missing out on by not drinking, shift your mindset to all the positives Think of the hangover-free mornings, clearer skin, better sleep, and being fully present in every moment with loved ones
Plan Ahead for Alcohol-Free Options
The key to a successful dry Christmas is preparation
Whether you ’ re hosting or attending a party, make sure there are alcohol-free alternatives that you truly enjoy. "Make sure there are alcohol-free options available, drinks that you really like and that feel special," says McKay If you ’ re going to a venue, call ahead to check what’s available, and don’t hesitate to bring your own alcoholfree alternative if the choices are limited.
Gone are the days when sticking to soft drinks meant being stuck with plain water or soda Today, there’s a wide range of non-alcoholic beverages, from sparkling elderflower to kombucha, that can feel just as celebratory as a cocktail. For a festive twist, try making your own alcohol-free mulled drink with cranberry juice, orange slices, and cinnamon
Handling Peer Pressure
Peer pressure can be a challenge, especially during festive gatherings where friends and family may unintentionally make you feel awkward for not joining in the drinking "Friends will naturally be curious and ask questions," says McKay Some may even encourage you to have 'just one, ' which can make it tempting to give in. McKay recommends being prepared with responses like, “I’m really wanting to
sort my sleep out,” or “I’ve found I’m much more productive in the mornings without a hangover ”
Another tip? Keep your own glass topped up with an alcohol-free drink, and don’t be afraid to divert the conversation if someone is being persistent "Move the conversation on by asking a question about them, or simply saying, ‘Come on, let’s go and dance!’" Having a trusted buddy at gatherings can also help you deflect any comments and stay focused on enjoying the evening
Reclaim Christmas Day
Christmas Day doesn’t need alcohol to be magical McKay emphasises the importance of self-care and making the day special without the usual boozy traditions "When you wake up in the morning, take a moment to be grateful for unbroken sleep and the energy you have," she says Start the day with something that makes you feel good, like a walk, a pamper session, or watching your favourite Christmas movie
Plan special alcohol-free drinks for the day and use beautiful glasses to pour them into, so it still feels like a treat. "When others are drinking, make sure you have your favourite nibbles or dessert on hand, too," she advises After all, Christmas is really about spending quality time with family and making memories ones you’ll remember clearly the next day.
Celebrate Your Success
For those new to an alcohol-free lifestyle, it’s important to acknowledge your achievements and celebrate your choices. McKay encourages treating yourself: "Never feel guilty about rewarding yourself If you have become newly alcohol-free, you deserve to be proud and treat yourself " Think about all the money you ’ re saving by not drinking, and invest in something special just for you whether it’s a luxury bath set or a new pair of cosy pyjamas for Christmas morning
In the end, a dry Christmas isn’t about deprivation; it’s about enjoying the season in a more mindful and fulfilling way. As McKay reminds us, "Your relationship with someone is not determined by what you choose to have in your glass " This festive season, embrace the opportunity to experience a different kind of Christmas one filled with clarity, joy, and meaningful connections

The Curry Fishballs followed, capturing the essence of a Hong Kong classic Served in Uncle Lim’s secret curry sauce, they had a wonderfully bouncy texture and a mild, savoury spice that brought depth without overpowering the dish It’s the kind of flavour that takes you straight to a bustling Hong Kong street market Adding an element of novelty, Three Uncles introduces the “18-Districts” concept, a rotating menu inspired by iconic dishes from across Hong Kong's diverse neighbourhoods. This concept keeps things fresh and exciting with limited-time specials like banquet prawn toast, oven-baked pork chop rice, and braised curry brisket, inviting diners to explore a new side of Hong Kong cuisine on each visit
