ETBU's Response to COVID-19 Our hope and prayer has been for the ETBU Family to reunite on campus this semester; however, based on the recent developments across our nation and state, ETBU has made the decision to continue online learning for all courses over the remaining 6 weeks of the Spring 2020 semester. Please be in prayer for our students as they face the abrupt ending to their on-campus educational experience on the Hill. Pray that our students will be able to focus on their academic studies in the midst of this health care crisis and that ETBU faculty will find innovative ways to continue demonstrating their care and concern for their students through their teaching excellence. Please pray for our students and their families as they face unexpected challenges and obstacles related to this crisis. We are thankful for our donors, past and present, who have generously provided scholarships to help students attend East Texas Baptist University. We are working diligently to help students so that they can continue their ETBU education and return to campus in the Fall 2020 semester. Resilient, ETBU will emerge stronger as we strive to build an even greater University.

Join us for Virtual Chapel Monday We invite you to join your fellow Tigers for a Virtual Chapel Service on Monday, March 30, at 10:00 a.m. We will be broadcasting student-led worship and an encouraging message from Bethesda Baptist Church Senior Pastor and ETBU Board of Trustees Vice Chair, Rev. The Marshall Grand Gala In light of the COVID-19 crisis, the Marshall Grand Gala is postponed, and will be rescheduled for a later date in 2020. The Gala will provide needed resources as we work to restore the historic banquet hall and center of community life in Marshall. We are excited to continue the transformation of the Marshall Grand, and it will be marvelous to “finish the floor” by renovating the 8th floor for University and community events after we move through and beyond the Coronavirus crisis in our nation. We look forward to hosting the Marshall Grand Gala in roaring 20’s style at an appropriate time in the coming months.
