Dear Parents, carers and all in the Chessington community

So much has happened since my last newsletter, there is never a quiet moment here at Chessington!

TRANSITION MEETINGS

We had the pleasure of meeting all of our new Year 7’s and their parents, during these interviews we found lots of really useful information that will further support their transition to secondary school. I also am delighted that we have many brothers and sisters joining us, overall a lovely positive couple of days. I have also started my Year 5 primary school visits to our local feeder schools. Myself and a couple of students go and talk to them about transition to secondary school and answer any of their many questionsmostly about homework and detentions!

YEAR 11 LEAVERS

We celebrated 5 years at Chessington with our Year 11’s by their Leavers Assembly which was superbly put together and hosted by Miss Rutledge Lots of memories from the last 5 years and some funny awards for both staff and students.

We then had our annual Year 11 v’s Staff football match which the students won despite an excellent goal from Mr Lucas. Finally we hosted a BBQ for our Yr 11 parents and students which was a lovely opportunity to thank parents for their continued support over the 5 years, a thoroughly enjoyable day The exams continue with the last being on 20th June, we will then eagerly await results in August.
