Dear Parents, carers and all in the Chessington community,
Dear Parents, carers and all in the Chessington community,
Alternative Learning Day was a huge success, all of the trips that went out were thoroughly enjoyed by students (& staff!) Students really seized the opportunities given to them and their behaviour and conduct was a credit to the school. Members of the public on the trains back to Chessington South commented to our staff who well mannered and polite our students were Nothing that I didn’t know but always lovely to hear!
Last week Year 11 Catering students had their final practical exam and they all did amazingly! They produced some restaurant quality food with excellent presentation. Mrs Ford was extremely proud
On Monday 7AGS delivered the first of the Year 7 Tutor assemblies, the theme was Lent and all the alternative ways different countries interpret it, including shrove Tuesday and the Mardi Gras !
Thank you for your support with ensuring that our students look smart and have the correct uniform. If you do have any spare uniform please do send it as we need to build up stock for loan items A reminder of the letter sent last week from Mrs Cooper.
After the half term break we will be running a modified detention system, this is based on staff and parent feedback. Please see the attached letter here which goes into detail about the updated system which we hope works to ensure that students see the importance of attending the consequence and your support with this is very much appreciated.
As we near the half way point of the academic year I would like to thank all of our parents for their continued support Whether it is words of thanks or feedback, all of the communications we received are hugely appreciated and make us go from strength to strength as a school in a challenging educational landscape.
