Technology and Comfort Our knowledge and technology investment is a key area where we endeavour to excel. This may be as simple as choosing and designing bikes for slightly wider tyres to improve grip and reduce rolling resistance. However, we also go into the deep technical detail where needed such as proprietary carbon fibre blends which aren’t simple but they allow us to tune the perfect ride feel, performance and comfort.

Performance Utilising your energy efficiently is imperative so the super-lightweight 955g frame features taut, oversized chain stays and a BB30 bottom bracket to deliver your power to the road and propel you forwards. Handling is also key to your performance; a longer wheel base provides a stable ride for fast descents. The tapered steerer tube delivers impeccable handling which will have you seeking out technical descents to enjoy. Electronic shifting options mean the Gold can also elevate the performance of your gear shifting too. Comfort Riding harder for longer can cause fatigue and so the Gold has a proprietary blend of 20, 40 and 60 Ton carbon fibres. Different carbon fibre is used in several areas of the bike where comfort and flexibility are key such as the seat-stays and seat tube, which absorb more high frequency vibrations before they reach you. Other carbon fibres add stiffness in areas of the frame where forces must be transferred effectively such as the head tube to ensure responsive handling, and the down-tube, bottom bracket and chain stays to transmit your power without loss to the road. The geometry of the Gold has been specifically designed to provide an excellent balance between giving you the comfort to ride longer but also enhance your efforts when you put the power down. Performance This is a road bike with speed at its heart but this is in equilibrium with comfort. The lightweight 999g frame combines with the oversized BB30 bottom bracket to provide excellent power transfer. This equates to a spritely ride up any of your local climbs with reduced fatigue as your ride progresses. The tapered head-tube provides you with confidence inspiring steering feel so you can really enjoy the corners. The balanced head tube length and all-round geometry are designed to provide comfort and performance for a variety of different rides including regular commuting, mid-length rides and those times when you want to go ‘long’ for that big event. Comfort You want a bike that you enjoy riding every time to you take it out. Wider tyres are obviously more comfortable and you can run them at slightly lower pressures providing excellent grip.
