CALLIGRAPHIC ART: FOR ENTHUSIASTS AND OTHERS
Talking about calligraphy in the digital age may seem anachronistic, but the rediscovery of Beautiful Writing is a worldwide phenomenon and sees people of all backgrounds attending courses to reclaim the pleasure of handwriting. Calligraphic Art, in collaboration with the Italian Calligraphic Association, is intended to be for those who love writing interpreted in different expressive and creative techniques in a journey of discovery that allows retailers to transfer and organise themed workshops at their store for customers.
EXPERIMENT ‘IN THE FIELD’ WITH STUDENTS
Also at the 2024 Edition, Big Buyer is reintroducing COLORTEC Lab, a space dedicated to Creativity, Arts&Crafts and Hobbies. This interactive workshop is for launching and promoting the Exhibiting Companies’ products (paper, paints, inks, paintbrushes, techniques, Arts&Crafts and DIY tools). Artistic demonstrations will focus on different topics and techniques beneficial to Stationers, who will have the opportunity to get direct experience of the full potential of the materials used. The project aims to encourage participating Students to demonstrate their expressive skills by drawing inspiration from the theme of ‘The City of the Future’.
The outcome will be innovative and original artistic creations: decorations for notebooks, diaries, backpacks, pencil cases and other school collections, as well as new inspirations for gift wrapping and other suggestions and ideas.
DIGITECH POINT & CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE
This workshop will allow Retailers in the Stationery&Office sector to approach and directly experience new ways of providing customised in-store services. This is the underlying concept behind DIGITECH Point, a project implemented by Big Buyer in partnership with Roland DG also for the 28th Edition of the Event. Starting from the assumption that current change mainly arises from the huge availability of technologies and constant innovation in terms of tools, materials and products, what can really make a difference for the POS is the ability to actively participate in creating goods and services that Consumers can purchase in shops.
Stationers who attend the Workshops will receive a Certificate of Participation signed by Roland DG, which they can frame and display in their retail store.
In the ‘Back to School’ area, devoted to new products for schools for 2025, a Jury of Experts will choose, from among many entries, the most eco-friendly item deserving the GREEN FUTURE AWARD 2024
PARTY, GIFT & PACKAGING - MATTERS OF THE HEART
Each event in our life tells a story... and if the story is shared, it is even more wonderful! This workshop intended for the Retail sector offers the opportunity, with the most creative ideas, contemporary trends and practical methods, for a unique experience, for the most important days of our life: Baptisms, Holy Communions, Confirmations, Birthdays, Anniversaries, Graduations, Weddings etc. Thanks to the tools and materials provided by the Exhibiting Companies (invitations, favours, gifts, greeting cards, wrappings, shopping bags, ribbons, party ideas, decorations, flowers...), participants will be able to acquire new input in order to effectively handle the theme at their POS, from the simplest to the most elaborate ideas, always with elegance and sophistication. Laboratories based on training and demonstration, run by experts, are intended to offer ideas and solutions for setting up showcases and spaces in the retail store.
BOOKS, STATIONERY AND EXPERIMENTING WITH SYNERGIES
Stationery products are becoming increasingly important at bookshops just as books are selling well at Stationers. The synergy between the two product areas, Books/Stationery, is evident, as is their popularity among Customers. The assortment predominantly focuses on items that represent ethical and environmental choices. In the Children, Books&more area, Visitors can be inspired by items that are most closely associated with the world of books. In this case, children’s books. The schedule during the three-day Big Buyer event includes meetings with Authors and presentations of new books, as well as tools from the Stationery&Office segment put to use thanks to the outstanding performance of accredited illustrators. Stationers/Booksellers will learn new ideas for engaging in storytelling that they can adapt and enhance in their respective retail stores.

Environmental sustainability is at the heart of major Manufacturers in the Stationery sector. In the BACK TO SCHOOL area, the spotlight is on the most eco-friendly items produced while respecting our Planet and provided with the necessary requirements and certifications.
A showcase dedicated to the ‘eco’ world, which promises an exciting challenge in classrooms, focusing on research and innovation, with the coveted GREEN FUTURE AWARD 2024 at stake, now at its 4th edition.
