Introduction Isn’t it fun to learn? Learning is acquiring or modifying the knowledge we already have. In order to learn, we should listen carefully to our teachers and follow their instructions. Whenever we are not sure of something, we should immediately ask them. Remember, teachers are our guide and inspiration. This year, we are going to review and learn many concepts. You will learn new and interesting things, too. Also, you will have fun doing many of the activities in this manual. As you have seen, this manual belongs to your English class. Many students say that English is hard. Please, don’t believe that. If you are disciplined you can learn a lot, and if you are willing to learn a lot, we can guarantee that this will be the class that you will like and enjoy the most.

You will be working with values such as respect, honesty, friendship, and responsibility. Think about the following quotation by Wendy Kopp:
“When the school bell rings on day one and all our students are in their seats, we will hold the future of this nation and this world in our hands…” What a nice quotation! I hope it serves as an inspiration because you are part of this nation and this world. Enjoy the manual!
