The Italian swimming pool and spa industry boasts beautiful, comfortable and super-equipped water spaces, enriched with elements designed for relaxation and well-being, with a focus on water and energy-saving systems and safety devices. In addition, pool management no longer burdens the owner. On the contrary, it is simple and smart thanks to home automation, which with a wide range of automated solutions facilitates the maintenance and ordinary "management" of the pool. In short, design and new technologies come together to ensure refined aesthetics and hi-tech details in Italian swimming pools. The union of what we see (the finished pool) and what remains hidden from our eyes (the motor that powers it) is the result of a meticulous balance between aesthetics and
technology, a job that becomes more and more sophisticated over time and that Italian designers and builders carry out with passion and ever newer and deeper skills.
The watchword: safety. Although the summer period coincides with a sad increase in swimming pool accidents, swimming pool owners and operators are becoming increasingly sensitive to this issue. "Pool safety is a complex concept that includes equally important factors such as structural safety, water quality, the presence of qualified lifeguards, and compliance with regulations and standards. In Italy, the WHO guidelines were disseminated through an information leaflet dedicated to the prevention of drown-
ing of children in swimming pools, published by the ISS. The document emphasises, among other things, the importance of fencing off swimming pools, supervising the youngest children when they are in the water (or in its immediate vicinity), making them wear swimming caps, closing non-standard suction inlets with special gratings, and teaching them how to swim. However, more systematic and incisive interventions are urgently needed. The Italian government is working on a regulatory solution that could in the future be a legislative device in its own right. In addition to classic barriers and covers, which prevent children from entering the water unsupervised or accidentally when the pool is not in use, prevention technologies that can identify potentially dangerous situations accurately and quickly, minimising false alarms, are becoming increasingly popular. Among the most widely used solutions are
video surveillance systems, underwater alarms (considered very effective in preventing accidental drowning) and wearable systems (such as smartwatches and chest straps) equipped with sensors, which are in addition to the more traditional wearable armrests or inflatable life jackets. Surveillance cameras, both stationary and mobile, are installed above and below the water level to detect both unusual movements at the surface and complete immobility underwater. Also increasingly helpful is artificial intelligence, which can be used to protect pool users of all types. AIbased solutions have been applied with particular success to safety systems in a wide variety of contexts, and their combination with cloud solutions, advanced video surveillance systems and smart-home technology has taken pool accident prevention to the next level. parents should not be underestimated, as well as the use of devices equipped with safety systems such as circulation pumps that deactivate within seconds if a body is perceived to be trapped in the nozzle, allowing for its timely removal. Safety must also be ensured outside the pool. This is why it is essential to install anti-slip and anti-trauma floors, which are very useful in reducing the number of accidents related to the presence of water on surfaces that become slippery.
The ongoing water crises in various parts of the world have not spared Italy. The frequency and intensity of extreme climatic phenomena are unfortunately set to increase, and the swimming pool sector must also play its part. It, therefore, becomes essential not only to find a reasonable compromise between two distinct needs (ensuring high safety standards and limiting water consumption), but also to test new solutions that, with the support of ad hoc regulatory devices, can help to deal effectively with emergency situations. The focus on water saving is a matter of national importance for Italy, and swimming pools are no exception. In a country in which Regions and Municipalities increasingly issue ordinances in advance prohibiting the filling of pools with drinking water, the Region of Tuscany has recently approved an amendment to the law on the hygienic-sanitary requirements for swimming pools. With this new amendment, the complete draining of the water in private swimming pools for public use in holiday farms and hotels will have to be carried out at least once every three years instead of compulsorily every year. Current technology, after all, makes it possible to guarantee the necessary parameters of hygiene and safety for the health of users even with-
out completely emptying the pools. According to the new regulations, which affect private swimming pools for public use such as hotels, campsites, tourist resorts and farmhouses, the safety of the water can be attested by showing the results of analyses, which must be carried out at least fifteen days before the opening of the pool. This is a compromise between the importance of guaranteeing the healthiness of the water and the need to contain costs and consumption. Italian swimming pool companies affected by the severity of these problems are obviously trying to adapt as best they can, but they must sometimes revise their turnover targets downwards. There are numerous expedients that can be adopted: taking climate problems into account right from the design phase; optimising water consumption (not only by reducing the frequency of pool water changes but also by installing filters that require more sustainable and efficient backwashing and limiting water evaporation with special covers); minimising ecological impact. A valid alternative could be represented by seawater: if, on the one hand, pools supplied with seawater are des-
tined to become more important (so much so that they will be regulated by the new legislative provision that will replace the State-Regions Agreement, as anticipated by the Istituto Superiore di Sanità at the last edition of ForumPiscine), on the other hand, desalination techniques are slowly gaining ground and could represent an important lifeline for the future of the Italian swimming pool sector. In Italy, the magazine Piscine Oggi and the trade fair event ForumPiscine - International Pool and Spa Expo & Congress had already set themselves the goal of raising awareness of sustainability in the industry several years ago, resulting in the Self-sufficient Pool, a special project based on a fully functioning 1:1 scale installation of an eco-sustainable zero-impact pool. The Self-sufficient Pool was intended to be a concrete example of how technology, automation, sustainability, and self-sufficiency can coexist profitably in the aquatic system. It was a model born from a sum of technical expedients and good practices united under an avant-garde concept necessary in an era in which clean fresh water is becoming an increasingly rare commodity.

Speaking purely of aesthetics, Italian pools are characterised above all by the choice of polygonal shapes, among which the rectangle (more or less elongated) dominates undisputedly. Attractive infinity edges, PVC and stone cladding, underwater LED spotlights and modestly sized
sunbathing areas are among the most popular and indispensable elements. Thanks to the wide range of technical and structural options offered by the market, it is now possible to place swimming pools practically anywhere, even in an area subject to strict constraints such as Italy: from ground floors to the top of buildings or the living rooms of a house. For Italians, accessories dedicated to fun and well-being are now indispensable. They are added both to the pool and to the surrounding spaces to create, with an infinite variety of finishes, unique aquatic zones perfectly suited to one's taste. Functional design, often integrated with hi-tech elements, but capable of preserving an image of beauty linked to the natural and not too artificial, able to fit harmoniously into any context, be it urban or country: this is what the Italian consumer is looking for today. But the Italian swimming pool is not just appearance, it is also a lot of substance.
Increasingly important and sought after is the pool entrance. Today, in fact, it is synonymous with elegant steps, solarium at the water's edge, soft beaches, refined seating, geometric staircases, lighting and hydromassage points, furnishing elements... the entrance to the pool is no longer a simple staircase relegated to the least conspicuous part of the pool. Quite the contrary: it represents one of the focal points of the pool, in some cases even the main element of the entire project. Whether one chooses to play with heights or prefers a more 'natural' access, the possibilities for customising access to the water are almost endless. Some designs favour aesthetics, others favour functionality, and still others embrace a philosophy of well-being or nature.

Light is one of the most multifaceted and exciting architectural forms of all and can be moulded, set and shaped, thus dragging the very geography of a space into its dance. Ephemeral, iridescent, changeable, exciting, light in a swimming pool can create real magic, and Italian designers know it well.
Light has acquired the status of an architectural element
and lighting technologies are much appreciated, especially when combined with water: the swimming pool, in itself, is already an evocative element, but we can enliven it with light points that enhance its shapes and details: from coloured lanterns, capable of creating an imaginative and captivating atmosphere, to soft golden lights, more romantic, up to luminous sculptures, as in a small personal and private art gallery, the only limit is fantasy.
The Italian swimming pool industry has lately been winking more and more at delicate geometries, soft lines and the use of sand, wood, vegetation and other natural elements (artificial and otherwise). This is because there is an increasing demand for a natural and pure pool, made of local and environmentally sustainable materials, characterised by an appearance similar to that of natural pools and able to integrate perfectly with the outdoor space that hosts it. The Italian swimming pool market, in fact, is driven by trends of rediscovery and reinterpretation of nature, while maintaining all the typical comforts of traditional pools.

the exterior to the interior, almost an extension of the latter. For this reason, shapes, colours and finishes are increasingly chosen with the intention of respecting the proportions and style of the site and the surrounding buildings in order to create a harmonious accord, capable of adding value to the entire structure. As landscape architect Anja Werner explained, by correctly choosing "building materials, waterproofing colours, landscaping, to name but a few, be-
yond macroscopic elements such as the correct positioning of the reservoir, with due care in operational decisions one can create small paradises, well inserted and not perceived as 'barbarian invasions'. Obviously, in heavily manmade situations, the landscape plays a minor role; the primary reference point becomes the architectural features of the surrounding buildings. And the Italian swimming pool perfectly encapsulates this harmonic soul”.
In recent years, the so-called 'transparency effect' has become increasingly popular, and therefore increasingly in demand, among those designing a new swimming pool, be it private or for commercial use, or renovating an existing one. And when speaking of swimming pools, the 'transparency effect' actually means two materials: glass and acrylic glass. If we had to outline a trend, we could say that Italians, between glass and acrylic, seem to prefer glass. The reason for this preference is determined by the intrinsic characteristics of the material: the higher quality, sought after by customers right from the design phase, the total integration that glass offers with the structure of the bathtub, and the attention to detail, both aesthetic and functional. Glass undoubtedly adds a valuable element from an architectural point of view, but beyond this, it has a connotation that a country with ancient roots like Italy generally likes: tradition. However, Italian designers are also increasingly resorting to PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate), also known as plexiglass or acrylic. This material, in fact, being more versatile, allows for more complex shapes, even curved ones, giving more room for design fantasy.
We've said it: Italians like their swimming pools not only beautiful but also complete with all the comforts and a few extra hi-tech pampering. Here, then, are the hydromassage jets installed on the ladder that gives access to the water to create a small private wellness centre, always at your disposal, while thanks to counter-current swimming devices you can indulge in an intense workout that converts what was once a residential pool into a gym. But these are just examples: lights, colours, gadgets, water games. Waterfalls, jets, geysers, and whirlpool areas are becoming increasingly popular: in addition to living up the pool area, these elements are useful allies for well-being and relaxation. You name it: more than just a swimming pool, you can create an artistic installation that is also a spa, a playground and a private gym. All in an area of just a few square metres. A new trend that is particularly popular in the private sector, it is now fashionable to include slides, showers and devices that can transform the pool into a sort of personal water park. Very popular, in fact, in public centres, is the 'adventure' dimension, i.e. the inclusion of rivers, torrents to be
travelled in rubber dinghies, more or less elaborated slides, water blades and waterfalls, which turn a swimming pool into a water park without affecting the entrance fee too much. The process of general impoverishment brought about by the 2008 economic crisis and continued with the financial crisis generated by the Covid-19 pandemic, in fact, has caused many families, with less money in their pockets and more uncertain professional prospects, to revisit their definition of a holiday, turning to low-cost experiences. The same trend, albeit on a smaller scale, has occurred in the private pool sector: when planning yours, therefore, you might consider adding a little movement, for the health of the body and the enjoyment of the mind. For those who, on the other hand, prefer to convert the pool into a gym, no problem: in fact, there are countless devices that allow water sports, from aqua bikes to underwater treadmills, up to the already mentioned devices for swimming against the current. You don't need an excessively large pool to be able to do some physical activity: all you need is a skillful use of space, and above all - as always - a forward-looking design, and in no time at all, a place designed for relaxation becomes a real wellness centre.
More and more Italians are deciding to buy a swim spa because this particular type of mini pool gives them the opportunity to stay active all year round. It also requires a lower investment of money than a classic pool, so it is a very attractive solution. Italians, in general, are well acquainted with the therapeutic properties of hydrotherapy, already known in Roman times, great builders of spas that later became famous throughout the world. This is why the appeal of the mini hydromassage pool remains unchanged over time: due to its characteristics, it is suitable for any context and can transform it into a place of health and well-being. Moreover, the mini pool has evolved over time and has now become a true design object that many Italian homes enclose within their walls.
Especially in public facilities and private swimming pools for public use, spray parks have recently carved out a well-deserved popularity in Italy. Broadly understood as a play area animated by the dynamic movement of water (with cannons, fibreglass animals, arches, floor geysers, cones, etc.), spray parks are now quite widespread in amusement and water parks, and there is a clear appreciation by the public. Lately, those who manage an accommodation facility already equipped with a pool area in need of renovation are often turning to this type of solution because it is easy to integrate (from a campsite on the beach

to a hotel in the countryside), flexible, low investment and low maintenance.
In an era in which the word 'leisure' increasingly combines distinct but complementary concepts such as fitness, wellness, water and outdoor activities, play and socialisation, it is not surprising that the spray park in Italy has now become a major trending phenomenon for all recreational facilities, from hotels to campsites, from sports centres to water parks. This is also thanks to its ability to offer a space dedicated to water fun for children, without exposing them to particular risks. Moreover, even adults and the elderly with reduced mobility are able to access it safely.

Wellness has been a global trend since it was coined in 1993 by Technogym’s founder Nerio Alessandri. As one of the most successful entrepreneurs in fitness equipment, Alessandri stated that “physical activity” is not enough for well-being. The psyche and emotional attachment to the body are demanding the need for the pillars of wellness to sustain our holistic sense of self. As the turn of the century embarked on this new mindset, it has become even more pronounced since the COVID-19 epidemic revealed our psychological and physical fragility. Today the protagonist of wellness is water, and we are seeing the
changes in pool technology and design following this philosophy in the European market. Going back in history to the Roman times and the Latin phrase “Salus per aquam” meaning “health from water”, we can understand how the health benefits of water have been understood since ancient times. In fact, its acronym SPA is a term that can only be used to describe a resort or wellness center that uses real hot spring water. Water compliments the state of body and mind and its salubrious properties affect us on both a mental and physical level. Scientific studies have shown how we are attracted to blue for its calming effects and how water heals us through both consuming it (by drinking or eating) and bathing in it.
While spas are an important element in wellness, pools are becoming just as significant in their role of representing our human relationship with “bodies of water” and the design form they take. Today we can consider a design that revolves around humans: a type of “water of body design”. Let’s consider the structure of the swimming pool mirrors the human: how the heart and veins are like a pump and pipes. Both have means to clean and filter the circulating water. Both are literally bodies of water. It is this parallel structure that informs a pool design imperative that revolves around humans – what I call the “Water of Body Design”. The humanist concept is slowly inculcating design trends in Europe along with a minimalist approach. The standard economical blue-colored pool is becoming obsolete. Vessels are becoming the poetry of the place they live in, inserting themselves as a continuation of the landscape and an invitation for people to bathe and receive the gifts they offer. Especially for geographical inland areas from the sea or bathing lakes – the need to be near water transforms the quality of life. Therefore, local materials like natural stones or ceramics that take on the color or identity of the surroundings give a design that positively affects mind-body wellness. Certain liners are even mimick-
ing natural stones with a 3D effect called “Touch”. The human experience in water changes completely on both a physical and psychological level when the five senses are enhanced by a pool that tells the story of the place.
It’s important to note that the key element to wellness pool design is detail: for example, a slim cut in a pool border lined with natural stone or ceramic that acts as an overflow, allowing form to dominate function. Delicate and subtle features like waterfalls enhance the calming element of sound and accent the pool without being ostentatious. Landscaping local plants that become part of the vessel’s scenery represents how good a person feels after a swim and walk in nature. Lastly, the element of light is a detail that should never be overlooked as it stimulates the senses during an evening swim: the play of colors on the water offers the opportunity to engage in the sensory ex-
perience of sight, sound and touch. The new nature of pool design reflects human design and the need to create an environment that maximizes our relationship with water. Whether it becomes a center of social interaction in a private home or recreational center, the context needs to invite the user to have a sensory experience that inspires the mind and enhances the body. We come back to our origins in water both historically and biologically where we feel at home and at peace with ourselves while feeling the health benefits in a holistic way. This is truly the goal of water wellness design.

In 2025, ForumPiscine - International Pool & Spa Expo and Congress, together with ForumClub - International Congress & Expo for Fitness, Sport and Wellness Clubs and Outex - Outdoor Experience, gives birth to a new common exhibition and cultural platform: XLeisure, "the sport and recreation factory". The very expression of the radi-

The 16th edition of ForumPiscine takes up the challenges imposed by the transformation of the sector by launching ambitious long-term projects such as the Pool Builders Days. Expressly conceived together with institutional partners to enhance and elevate the professionalism of the industry's operators, Pool Builders Days is proposed as a thematic framework that will give space to a rich program of meetings, seminars and live shows-with the advantage of a large presence of operators from abroad. While the
ever-evolving world of pools and spas requires its professionals to be increasingly flexible and adaptable, the figure of the pool builder has also been empowered, incorporating new skills and responsibilities. Thanks to this new space for updating, reflection and discussion, designers, builders and installers will be able to better respond to these challenges. For the 2025 edition, moreover, ForumPiscine will host a delegation of highly qualified foreign designers/ builders who will compare themselves with Italian operators.
Another significant new feature of the upcoming editionis the launch of a series of panel discussions that, annually, will host representatives of the international press belonging to the International Pool & Spa Press Alliance on a rotating basis. This new event is expressly designed to offer participants a global view of current events in the pool industry.

Unmissable appointment also with the conference program, which will explore key issues such as safety, water and energy saving, and regulatory developments in the sector. The heavy water and energy problems that several European regions are plagued by has required a significant change in the "rules of the game" at the regulatory level, and the main innovations on the subject will be presented and discussed at ForumPiscine next February. Indeed, in collaboration with the Istituto Superiore di Sanità, a new
legislative framework will be presented that will replace the current agreement between state and regions.
Other sessions will give ample space to pool safety and risk prevention, as well as to the latest trends in the leisure world, to understand future market scenarios for both the business of water parks and pools in sports settings, and wellness and hospitality-related facilities.
The very rich conference program involves organizations of reference for the sector such as Sportcity Foundation, MSA - Manager Sportivi Associati, UNPISI - Technicians of prevention in the environment and workplaces, CONGEPI (the national confederation of regional pool organizations), FIN - Italian Swimming Federation, ANIF Eurowelness and CIWAS. While each maintains its own identity and uniqueness, ForumPiscine, ForumClub and Outex now have a clear goal in common: to grow together as an event and as a community to become an authoritative point of reference for entrepreneurs, professionals, stakeholders and institutional entities.
Launched by Piscine Oggi magazine in 2010, the Italian Pool Award is the recognition given to Made in Italy swimming pools that stand out for their design, construction and aesthetic excellence: technology, design, integration with the environment and attention to water and/or energy savings are some of the key criteria adopted to select the participants.
As in every edition, ForumPiscine will host the photo exhibition dedicated to all the pools participating in the award and will be the stage of excellence for the award ceremony of the projects that will be elected winners by the professional jury.

H2OUTSIDE25 is a new long-term project featuring the unprecedented collaboration between ForumPiscine-Outex, AIAPP (Italian Association of Landscape Architecture) and the University of Florence. In fact, the Master's Degree Course in Landscape Architecture at the University of Florence has launched an articulated design workshop in two phases: with a maximum of six participants, the goal is to create a themed layout for ForumPiscine/Outex.
During the first phase (October-November 2024), the Department of Architecture in Florence will host the elaboration of the project, which has as its theme the conception of a swimming pool or a set of mini-pools inserted in a campsite or in an accommodation structure (agritourism, b&b, albergo diffuso, masseria, etc.) within a significant landscape context. The second phase – in February at Bo-
lognaFiere – focuses instead on the implementation of the project, and will be coordinated by an AIAPP designer. The project is aimed not only at second-year students, but also at undergraduates and recent graduates.
ForumClub-Outex, on the other hand, proposes the 2025 edition of the "Outdoor Leisure" experiential island, where live solutions will be presented to create and set up areas intended for outdoor physical activity, in public spaces
(parks, gardens and urban squares) or private ones (sports centers, fitness clubs, accommodations or seaside facilities).
This second edition will accentuate the inclusive dimension in the various activity areas (multipurpose sports, functional training, cardio-isotonic) and play (playground), as well as in the furnishings and access. The design will take place in close contact with the best companies in the industry.
ForumClub 2025 will be under the sign of experience. In addition to providing topnotch content, the congress will for the first time offer its members the benefit of combining education, conviviality and entertainment in an unparalleled event. The exhibition part, on the other hand, offers striking scenic and experiential installations designed in collaboration with associations, designers and companies. Visitors will thus be able to get a concrete idea of the trends inspiring the design of public and private, indoor and outdoor spaces today.
The annual appointment with the Italian Pool Award, thanks to shapes, colours, and style details, presents a top-level design Made in Italy, where nothing is left to chance and everything is taken care of down to the smallest detail.
The unmissable appointment with the Italian Pool Award for its latest edition saw the participation of 40 swimming pools, nominated by 34 different companies including designers, architects and builders. It was a thirteenth edition full of shapes, colours and style details that showed a Made in Italy of the highest level, where nothing is left to chance and everything is taken care of in the smallest detail.
The over 8,000 visitors of ForumPiscine - International Pool & Spa Expo and Congress had the opportunity to admire all the swimming pools nominated for the award through their images collected in the photographic exhibition set up for all three days of the Italian Pool Expo. A series of projects that, on the one hand, allowed us to appreciate the work carried out by professionals in the sector and, on the other, provided many ideas and just as many inspirations for the creations in progress.
The 40 pools were carefully analyzed by each member of the jury, who through photographs, plans and sections and – obviously – the technical information regarding every aspect of the pools, from the structure to the systems, from the accessories to all the solutions for the success of the project, evaluated each candidate based on technical and aesthetic parameters. The winners of each category were acclaimed and celebrated during the awards ceremony. They received the famous bronze statuettes in the shape of a ladder, whose shapes – born from the pen of the designer Osvaldo Casanova – are forged every year by the ancient Fonderia Merighi Arte of Bologna. All the candidates for the 2024 edition of the Italian Pool Award were also examined by a jury composed exclusively of members of the AIAPP - Italian Association of Landscape Architecture, who identified among the competing pools the one deserving of the AIAPP Special Recognition: a special prize awarded to the project that was able to stand out most for its ability to create dialogue, harmony and correlation between the water and the landscape within which it was introduced. Each outdoor pool, therefore, was assessed for its insertion into the surrounding natural environment, analyzing the different factors at play in the integration of the basin with the landscape.
Finally, the opportunity for each pool nominated for the Italian Pool Award to be known, appreciated and voted on the web was unmissable: the Piscine Oggi Facebook page hosted the images of the 40 competing creations, a moment that was as always highly appreciated and involved thousands of users, with over 2,200 likes left for the pools and more than 200 shares of the various posts. Having completed this necessary preamble, the time has come to discover the projects that triumphed during the thirteenth edition of the Italian Pool Award!

Why? Because FITT knows that piping systems have a fundamental role in the installation of embedded pool systems. In addition to ensuring constant flow of sanitised wa-
ter, they have to be able to resist crushing due to the mechanical pressure of the soil above, and then they have to cope with chemical attacks from sanitizing products, such as chlorine. They have to be able to withstand the stress caused by the settling of the system itself, which can cause ruptures and liquid escaping.
After FITT Idroflex, the first hose for the supply and suction systems of embedded pools launched in the mid 1990s, in the early 2000s FITT developed FITT Barrierflex, which thanks to the Spiral Protection Barrier patent guarantees greater mechanical resistance. A few years later, FITT Barrierflex became FITT Barrier CDS and featured a second patent: Chlorine Defence System, an internal film that also gives the hose chemical resistance, and therefore greater protection against chlorine. FITT’s research and development activities never stop. 2017 was the year of FITT B-Active Flex, in which the Chlorine Defence System and the Spiral Protection Barrier patents were joined by the D-Shape patent: a D-shaped rigid PVC spiral that makes it extremely resistant to crushing.
In 2019, the hoses are joined by FITT B-Active Rigid, the PVC-A rigid pipe with a 3-layer structure, made with Shock Wave technology, resistant to impacts and low temperatures, impervious to corrosion and impermeable to soil pollutants.
In 2020, FITT B-Active Flex was further improved with the introduction of the EVO TECH technology, capable of increasing mechanical stress and cracking resistance. The evolution of pool hoses continues: in 2023 FITT launched FITT Revix, the first responsible hose for the swimming pool industry, born from the company’s eco-design guidelines: performance, circularity and reduction.
FITT Revix is the flexible spiral hose made with patent-pending Coreshield technology: it features a layer that insulates and separates the regenerated material from the virgin material. This ensures suitable external abrasion resistance during installation as well as excellent hose adhesion to fittings during the gluing stage. Coreshield technology is joined by a patented D-Shape reinforcement spiral made from virgin material, to guarantee crushing and cracking resistance. The innovative technologies used in the development of FITT Revix, combined with research into both recycled and virgin materials, ensure the first sustainable hose for swimming pools delivers high performance in terms of both mechanical strength and chemical resistance.
FITT Revix uses 30% recycled material, which allows to reduce CO2e emissions by 10% when compared to the previous version of the same swimming pool hose: FITT Idroflex. The recycled material is the product of a significant collaboration between FITT and the RENOLIT Group. The recycled material is made up of graded chips chosen to ensure consistent granule size as well as extrusion stability and, consequently, a hose offering high performance.
FITT will donate 1% of the proceeds from the sale of FITT Revix to Fundació Fluidra, which will then allocate it to Fundación CRAM, a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of the marine environment and its inhabitant species.

The dehumidifiers series SP and SPW have been specifically designed for small pools and spas, where a large drying capacity is needed to effectively prevent the damages caused by high humidity levels. They have highly professional features and are designed to work effectively for a long time. The body and frame are made of powder painted galvanized steel, the heat exchangers are coated with a special varnish that protects them from aggressive substances, like chlorine.

NEOGEO BY SCENIC UP has devised a solution based on a waterproofed shaped trench, coated with layers of IdroCon solidified sand: a “thin skin” coating with exceptional waterproof flexibility, patented by NeoGeo, obtained with 9 overlapping layers of inorganic mineral products placed sequentially, with inside structural nets made of alkali-resistant silica fibres and fibres of variable size up to 5 cm long. Added to this is the guarantee of water-proofing provided by belite, a mineral that is not penetrated by water since, in its presence, it forms thousands of silica crystals capable of filling any porosity or crack, until the passage of water ceases: this guarantees the reservoir a natural perennial waterproofing. POLYFASER has developed a new roller enclosure that can make itself (almost) invisible, thanks to its stealth technology: the Back 24 roller enclosure is integrated into the wall from the outside of the pool and is therefore almost invisible when opened. The entire length of the pool remains free. The vertical panel matches the pool and can also be turned or removed. Polyfaser has redesigned the neck of the rail, which is now located higher, thus optimal for a higher water level. DAB PUMPS created eSwim, the electronic swimming pool pump with high energy efficiency. Designed for water circulation and filtration in residential and civil swimming pools, but also suitable for specific applications requiring the handling of aggressive liquids like fish farming, agriculture and industry. Eswim is the best solution to dramatically reduce energy consumption.
FITT designed FITT Revix, a flexible spiral hose made with patent-pending Coreshield technology: it features a layer that insulates and separates the regenerated material from the virgin material. This ensures suitable external abrasion resistance during installation as well as excellent hose adhesion to fittings during the gluing stage. Coreshield technology is supplemented with the patented D-Shape reinforcement spiral made from virgin material, which provides crush resistance.
ETATRON created TwinPool, a compact, easy-to-use equipment consisting of two dosing pumps and two parameters controllers designed to measure pH, Redox plus the temperature. Mainly conceived for pool’s industry, the dosing pumps are available either in peristaltic and solenoid versions. LED ITALY has welcomed the new luminaires of the Squid Family, consisting of circular luminaires with a high luminous performance, ideal for any application on pools with vinyl or tile cladding, available in two versions, 20 and 14 Watt. The luminaires of the Squid series are supplied with a PVC niche with stainless steel flange, gaskets and screws, and are also available in versions suitable for the niches of prefabricated pools made of steel or plastic material, thus being applicable in pools of any type. TILSYSTEMS created X-Flex Water IP68, a flexible LED strip for immersion use specifically for decorative or functional lighting of swimming pools, fountains, spas, saunas and more. X-Flex Water is 100% customisable and it is the ideal solution to eliminate the dotting effect of the LED strip. A wide range of power supply and control devices are available for ad-hoc management to achieve unique and special lighting.
HIDEW produces several kinds of dehumidification and ventilation devices for swimming pools, from the small private to the big public ones, offering different ranges of units, according to different applications.
The DDS - DCS - DVSDOS series consists of 38 models, with nominal air flow rates from 290 to 2,000 m3/h, and dehumidification capacities from 46 to 300 l/24h. The SRO-SRV series of dehumidifiers with integrated heat recovery consists of two models with a nominal flow rate of 500 m3/h.

POLIMPIANTI developed new controllers for Aquamatic covers and winding systems. The two versions available, PRO and BASIC, ensure improved energy efficiency and ease of use. The PRO controller provides clear messages about the configuration of the system. Electronics then ensures that the direction of installation of the engine is recognized without any need to modify the wiring, controls the speed and distance of the approaching ramps during the opening and closing of the cover, and deactivates the pumps and the chlorinator when the pool is closed.
