Continuous renewal is without a doubt, a challenge for any training organization. However, we believe that we must be the first to renew ourselves and respond to the needs of cross-cultural workers who want to be trained in the field of linguistics and language learning. Renewal and continuous improvement in the content, activities, and focus of training programs benefit both the participants in the Cursos Fundamentales and the organizations that teach them, since the teachers are the first to be updated and receive training to provide better education with better methodologies and resources. Undoubtedly, we want these training experiences to continue  to be of great impact and benefit to the life and ministry of students, teachers and organizations.

IN AUGUST, THE FOURTH IBERO-AMERICAN MISSIONARY CONGRESS WAS HELD IN THE CITY OF BOGOTÁ, COLOMBIA
The Department of Continuing Education, through the Fundamental Course Coordinator, Rosalba Rugamas, was represented. We were able to share in one of the presentations about the tools that our programs provide to cross-cultural missionaries responding to the needs of organizations.
4 |CONSTRUYENDO PUENTES
Many participants in the congress approached the SIL booth to learn more about the Fundamental Courses. They also had the opportunity to attend mini-workshops about what each subject entails and how important each is to both those who wish serve in the Bible translation and any cross-cultural missionary.
We were able to talk to stakeholders on an individual level, and to various organizations that wish to have the Fundamental Courses as part of their training programs.

English
for Professional Development (EPD) By Alejandra Guajardo Director of Continuing Education Department
This is a mentoring program to help Spanish speaking missionaries improve their English language skills and thus successfully achieve the organizational objectives of the department, project or ministry in which they are serving.
We thank all the people who took the time to respond to our survey in the previous issue of the bulletin, expressing their interest in being part of this program. Remember that if you want more information you could contact:
Anneke Painter: anneke_painter@sil.org Anyone who wishes to participate in this program must have the support of their church and / or the leadership of their organization. Therefore, it is vitally important that the church or organization appoint a supervisor or person to accompany and encourage the participant during this training process.

debriefing session of Phonetics teachers with their mentor
We have 10 participants, coming from Uruguay, Mexico, El Salvador, Peru, and Argentina. These teachers began the certification process in March 2 , and now they are putting into practice what they have learned in the previous phases by developing their own learning activity plans, guiding the learning activities in class, and conducting group debriefing sessions with their mentors online.
Upon completion of the training in Cusco, teachers participating in the Certification process will receive a Certification in Dialogue Education, Level 2 - SIL Certification System.
|FEMM (Functioning in Multicultural and Multilingual Teams) Teacher Debriefing Meeting
We ask for your prayers for this training as we are implementing a great change in the way the Basic Courses are taught, as well as in the contents and activities of the same courses. This will mean a major paradigm shift in many of the participants.

Testimony of this training time
September came and with it the in-person phase of the certification process in Dialogue Education for teachers of Fundamental Courses (CF)...
"It has been a very enriching experience both for those who have been facilitators as well as for those who went to complete this process. We understand the importance of Dialogue Education and see the improvement in the learning of participants. It was a challenge and constant learning experience for each teaching team. We have seen how we all grew throughout this process, and the results have exceeded our expectations. We saw participants be the protagonists of their own learning and how each contributed to the learning of their peers."
