SCHOLARSHIPS TO STUDY IN MEXICO

MEXICAN GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIPS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

On behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Mexican Agency for International Development Cooperation (AMEXCID) invites foreign citizens who are interested in studying for a specialization, master’s degree or doctorate, conducting graduate or postdoctoral research, or taking part in an undergraduate or graduatelevel academic mobility program, to participate in the 2018 Mexican Government Scholarship Program for International Students.

ELIGIBILITY: These scholarships are open to bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD students with a minimum grade point average of 80 on a scale of 0 to 100, or the equivalent, for their last academic degree received. Candidates must also be accepted or currently enrolled in a program of the participating Mexican universities. For full eligibility requirements, click here. FUNDACIÓN CAROLINA SCHOLARSHIPS

Fundación Carolina Scholarships aim to facilitate and promote the expansion of university graduate studies as well as the specialization and updating of knowledge of postgraduates, professors, researchers, artists and professionals from the Latin American countries members of the Ibero-American Community of Nations and Portugal.

THE FULBRIGHT COMEXUS GRANTS FOR US CANDIDATES IN MEXICO 2020-2021 (GRADUATE DEGREE PROGRAM)

The Mexico-United States Commission for Educational and Cultural Exchange (COMEXUS) is inviting US candidates to pursue their education by applying to the Fulbright Comexus Grants programs in Mexico.

ELIGIBILITY: Fluent Spanish, minimum degree: B.S./B.A. AWARD: To support students, the studentship will provide monthly maintenance, 50,000 pesos per academic year for tuition expenses, one round-trip international air ticket for the grantee, book allowance, medical benefit plan, commission’s assistance with the visa paperwork. DEADLINE: October.

AUTONOMOUS UNIVERSITY OF NUEVO LEÓN SCHOLARSHIPS

RAINFOREST ALLIANCE KLEINHANS FELLOWSHIP

The Rainforest Alliance has a long history of working with forest communities that have established their own locally managed enterprises, providing them with training and technical assistance on sustainable forestry practices, value-added processing, business administration, market access and more. The geographic scope of the Kleinhans Fellowship is restricted to Latin America, with a preference for the following locations: Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, and Peru.

ELIGIBILITY: This fellowship is open to candidates with a master’s degree in forestry, ecology, botany, environmental science or an appropriate related field. Doctoral candidates or post-doctoral researchers are preferred, although applicants may substitute relevant experience for higher-level degrees. AWARD: Recipients will be awarded a two-year stipend of $20,000 USD per year to support research that addresses one of the selected topics. Learn more here. DEADLINE: February. Learn more here.

THE FULBRIGHT COMEXUS GRANTS FOR US CANDIDATES IN MEXICO 2020-2022 (OPEN STUDY RESEARCH & ARTS)

This grant provides U.S. students studying a master’s or PhD degree the opportunity to pursue a 9 months research or arts project in Mexico. Candidates with terminal master’s degrees are also welcome to apply. Candidates with only a bachelor’s degree will not be considered for this award. Applications will be accepted in all fields of study except Medicine, Veterinary Medicine and Odontology.

ELIGIBILITY: Fluent Spanish, minimum degree: MS/MA or currently enrolled in a master’s program (candidates who are not in a Master’s program or higher will not be considered). AWARD: Monthly maintenance, one round-trip international air ticket for the grantee, book allowance, medical benefit plan, commission’s assistance with the visa paperwork, and additional dependent allowances. DEADLINE: October.

CONACYT NATIONAL FUNDING FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS IN MEXICO

The National Council for Science and Technology, offers tuition scholarships to full-time students enrolled in Master’s programs registered in the National Registry of Quality Graduate Programs, specially in Strategy and Business Competitiveness or Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

ELIGIBILITY: Applicants have to be admitted by CETYS Universidad prior to applying for this scholarship. Previous acceptance to their Graduate School is required. AWARD: The scholarship may cover the full or partial quarter based tuition. DEADLINE: October.
