People People planner Improvised Shakespeare Company at the Hett on Jan. 26

Based on the audience’s suggestion for a title, the Improvised Shakespeare Company will create an unscripted, often hilarious Elizabethan-style play at McKendree University’s Hettenhausen Center for the Arts on Thursday, Jan. 26, at 7:30 p.m.

The all-male cast will brush up on its “thee’s” and “thou’s” for an evening of off-the-cuff comedy u s i n g t h e rh y m i n g v e r s e a n d themes of William Shakespeare.

Nothing is planned, rehearsed or written, the characters are c re a t e d a s y o u w a t c h , a n d i f you wonder where the story is going... so do the actors. The n i g h t c o u l d re v e a l a t r a g e d y, comedy or history. Each play is completely improvised and therefore entirely new.

Alton Brown to appear at The Fox

Television personality, author and Food Network star Alton Brown has announced “Alton Brown Live: Eat Your Science” (www.altonbrownlive.com) will visit an additional 40 cities in 2017 including St. Louis’ Fabulous Fox Theatre on Sunday, April 9 at 7:30 p.m. Later this year during Thanksgiving week, Brown will make his Broadway debut for eight performances at the Barrymore Theatre. Brown created a new form of entertainment – the live culinary variety show – with his “Edible Inevitable Tour”, which played in over 100 cities with more than 150,000 fans in attendance. The first leg of Eat Your Science sold 100,000 tickets in the 40 cities Brown visited.

Brown says fans can expect “all-new everything including songs, new comedy, new puppets, and bigger and better potentially dangerous food demonstrations.”

Music Tuning in Family Arena to host Killer Queen

Slim in 2001.

Killer Queen toured into their second decade, the audiences grew. In 2005 they played Ahoy Stadium, where the reformed Queen would be performing only a few months later.

The next year Killer Queen joined forces with Bjorn Again and The Bootleg Beatles for a Waverly Stadium show in Edinburgh. It was this performance that led to the band being selected to represent Queen in a restaged tribute LiveAid concert held by Sir Bob Geldof. They performed with him at his arena charity concert to raise funds for the homeless.

A concert has been scheduled Saturday, July 12, at 7:30pm at The Family Arena in St. Charles.

Killer Queen formed back in June 1993.

Their first public shows were at London University, following in the footsteps of the real Queen who had played their first shows there 21 years earlier. By 1995 Killer Queen's UK popularity had grown to such an extent they secured a residency in London's Strand Theatre attracting nationwide BBC coverage - the first tribute to have a show in the West End. The band's reputation continued to grow both in the UK and abroad. In 1999 they returned from a tour of and Europe and Russia for an awards ceremony in Leicester Square, hosted by Suggs from Madness.

He announced they had won the award for “Worldwide Best Tribute Band.”

Queen's music is loved the world over.

Their songs have inspired generations.

Recreating the songs on a world stage takes a great deal of skill and Killer Queen's musicianship is outstanding. During their various careers the musicians have worked and recorded with a vast array of artistes including Roger Taylor, Brian May and Monseratte Caballe.

"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story"

"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story " seemed suspicious on paper, like any film saddled with the dreaded "spinoff" label. For a while all the odds looked stacked against it too — reshoots, script changes and a director in Gareth Edwards whose last blockbuster "Godzilla" had visual flair but no humanity, not to mention the fact that the film would be asking us to learn a dozen new characters with strange names, none of which were Skywalker or Solo. And of course as with any franchise there's that ever-present knowledge that, in some ways, this is another line-item on a corporate profit sheet.

As it turns out, those should-be liabilities were only assets in the end. "Rogue One" is a bold and stirring adventure film that will have both fans and casual observers spellbound. It is easily the most exciting blockbuster in recent memory this side of "Mad Max: Fury Road," and that includes "The Force Awakens," which now looks lazy and bloated with sentimentality and fan service in comparison to the subversive ingenuity of "Rogue One." How refreshing it is to have a truly contained film that doesn't have any objective beyond the story at hand. There is nothing to advance, nothing to tease, no "maybe we'll find answers in the next movie in 2 years" here. It is just allowed to be what it is, which is an intense and visually engrossing powder keg of a film.

It's a simple idea, really: Who are the rebels who stole the plans for the Death Star? That pivotal action kicked off the original "Star Wars" and it's pretty inherently dramatic.

Loosely, "Rogue One" is rooted around the plight of Jyn Erso, whose father Galen Erso (Mads Mikkelsen) is a scientist who once worked for the Empire. He gets drawn back in by the ambitious Orson Krennic (Ben Mendelsohn) to help finish the Death Star, leaving Jyn, played by Beau and Dolly Gadsdon as a young girl, and Felicity Jones as an adult, to survive on her own.

RATED: PG-13 by the Motion Picture Association of America for "extended sequences of sci-fi violence and action."

RUNNING TIME: 133 minutes.

"Office Christmas Party"

Movie-wise, the office Christmas party is the great dismantler of white-collar worker-bee life. Set out the booze, turn down the lights, and suddenly the cubicle walls around staid office life are blown away by heartbreak ("The Apartment") or Hans Gruber ("Die Hard"). ' The only things to burst forth when the egg nog starts flowing in "Office Christmas Party," though, are slow-motion party montages that exist for nothing but the film's trailers, and further reflections on the sad state of the studio comedy.

Directors Will Speck and Josh Gordon have assembled many key ingredients to a successful Christmas shindig. A holiday sweater-clad Kate McKinnon (who plays a nervous human resources administrator), alone, should be enough to cater any party. But there's also T.J. Miller, Courtney B. Vance, Vanessa Bayer, Randall Park and two "Veep" players, Matt Walsh and Sam Richardson. Who wouldn't want to carol with such a crew?

But "Office Christmas Party" and its filmmakers have little feel for how to utilize its funny cast, or for what it wants to unleash.

Speck and Gordon, who handsomely set their film in a Chicago high-rise, have a movie with all the trimmings, but none of the jokes.

"Silence"

Martin Scorsese's "Silence " is not an easy film to watch. At times it's grotesquely violent, at others tediously slow. But it is a full and worthy cinematic experience that is bold, thought provoking and utterly singular. That it's also a nearly threedecade effort from one of our living greats is just an interesting factoid in the end — plus, we've been here before a few times over with Scorsese's passion projects.

Scorsese and screenwriter Jay Cocks ("The Age of Innocence") adapted "Silence" from Shusaku Endo's 1966 novel of the same name. Set in the 17th century, the film follows two Portuguese Jesuit priests, Father Rodrigues (Andrew Garfield) and Father Garrpe (Adam Driver) who journey to Japan to try to find their fellow missionary, Father Ferreira (Liam Neeson), who has been rumored to have renounced his faith.

It's an acutely dangerous mission, which Father Valignano (Ciaran Hinds) tries to dissuade Rodrigues and Garrpe from pursing. In the years after the Shimabara Rebellion, Christianity in Japan was practiced only in secret — iconography and texts were confiscated and the known and even suspected devout were tortured and killed. But, driven by faith and duty Rodrigues and Garrpe might as well not have a choice in the matter at all. They can't even fathom not going, though, and thus they do.

RATED: R by the Motion Picture Association of America for "some disturbing violent content."

RUNNING TIME: 161 minutes.

"A Monster Calls"

If you're not crying by the third act of "A Monster Calls ," you may want to have your humanity checked.

Anyone who's experienced grief will be moved by Patrick Ness' story of a lonely 12-year-old boy and the massive woody monster who befriends him. Beautifully realized onscreen by director J.A. Bayona, it's a universal tale of how human beings cope with the unbearable pain of the death of a parent.

The award-winning 2011 novel is incredibly visual, but the story is even more affecting on film. Ness adapted and expanded his work for the screen, introducing new elements that deepen the characters and enrich the tale.

Bayona blends live-action with CGI and more traditional animation for a result that's both modern and timeless. "A Monster Calls," which considers children's feelings as real and multifaceted as anyone else's, deserves a place in the canon of artistic explorations of grief.

Newcomer Lewis MacDougall brings heartbreaking earnestness to Conor, whom the monster describes as "too old to be a kid, too young to be a man." Liam Neeson is the monster, lending his regal brogue to the computer-generated character, an ancient yew tree come to life. Felicity Jones and Sigourney Weaver give heartfelt performances as Conor's sick mother and distant grandmother, but the story centers on the relationship between the boy and his monster.

"I have come to get you, Conor O'Malley!" the monster bellows into Conor's bedroom window late one night. The giant creature says he has come to tell him three stories, and Conor should tell him a fourth.

"Who cares about stupid stories from a stupid tree that's a dream?" the boy defiantly replies. He hardly has time for a monster, even one he may have somehow summoned.

Conor is already dealing with plenty of trouble in his life: He's bullied daily at school, and his mother is so sick, she gets weaker every day.

RATED: PG-13 by the Motion Picture Association of America for "thematic content and some scary images."

"Paterson"

Waking up. Making coffee. Walking to work. Talking to coworkers. Coming home. Walking the dog. Going to the bar.

Repeating it all again. These are the mundane activities Jim Jarmusch's "Paterson " is made of. While they're the things most of us do without much thought, and often with a little dread, in "Paterson," they're everything, they're life and they're beautiful.

This quiet sentimentality is because Jarmusch is showing us this world through the eyes of a peculiar man named Paterson (a subtle, wonderful Adam Driver), a bus-driving poet in Paterson, New Jersey, who favors William Carlos Williams, author of the epic poem "Paterson." He lives with a beautiful woman, Laura (Golshifteh Farahani), and he goes about his life gently, often letting his poems take over his thoughts.

As he walks through the brick-lined, industrial landscape of Paterson, we hear him working out a poem in his head. "We have plenty of matches in our house ... we have plenty of matches in our house ..." He writes it down when he can and expands from there.

This happens often, but instead of just audio, Jarmusch scribbles Paterson's verses across the screen, daring us to really consider the words. This film isn't some quirky gimmick about a blue collar fellow with an artist's heart; it's deeply sincere and lifelike.

Part of that is because Paterson's world is full of characters — real-ish seeming people who come in and out of his life. He seems to delight in the randomness.

"Fences"

The blue music of "Fences" sings with a ferocious beauty in Denzel Washington's long-in-coming adaptation of August Wilson's masterpiece of African-American survival and sorrow.

Transfers from stage to screen often serve up only a pale reflection of the electric, live-wire theater experience. But Washington, in his good sense, has neither strained to make August's Pulitzer Prize-winning play particularly cinematic nor to "open it up" much from the confines of the staged settings.

What we have, instead, is a meat-and-potatoes drama, delivered with full-bodied, powerhouse performances and an attuned ear to the bebop rhythms of Wilson's dense, musical dialogue. The 1957-set "Fences" surely doesn't call for anything like a Stanley Kubrick treatment. Just give us the words and the people, with passion.

"Death ain't nothing but a fastball on the outside corner," says Troy Maxson (Washington), a 53-year-old garbage man in Pittsburgh's Hill District. Primarily from the hemmed-in backyard of his brick house he pours forth a torrent of rage, bitterness, pride and anguish.

"Fences," part of August's celebrated 10-part, decade-bydecade Century cycle, ought to have been made decades ago. It nearly was once, but Wilson's insistence that a black director make it was deemed impractical by a backward Hollywood.

So Washington's "Fences," the first big-screen adaption of any of Wilson's plays, is righting a wrong. The upside to the timing is that it would be difficult imagining better performers than Washington and Viola Davis, who starred together in a 2010 Broadway revival.

When Paterson drives, he takes in his environment, listening and enjoying the conversations between the two kids whose feet don't touch the floor of the bus talking about Rubin "Hurricane" Carter, who is from Paterson and "looks like Denzel Washington," or the men talking about girls and obviously lying to each other but both accepting the other's delusions, or even the teens (who some viewers might recognize as the kids from "Moonrise Kingdom") talking about anarchy. He also tolerates his perpetually aggrieved co-worker who always has a laundry list of woes to rattle off when presented with a courtesy "how are you?"

At home, he listens attentively to Laura, who is sometimes ridiculous, but endlessly supportive of him. When he wakes up, peacefully and without an alarm, she turns to

him and says something sweet. During the day, she borders on eccentric, painting everything in their house shades of black and white. One day she tells him with the utmost sincerity that she's going to be in the cupcake business and the next, she's ordering a guitar online because she also might just become a famous country star like Patsy Cline or Tammy Wynette. Paterson looks at her lovingly and nods and goes along with her whims and her petulant dog because it's love, after all.

It's at the corner bar where Paterson really comes to life, though. The bar is that sort of magical, perfect dive that's homey and dark and pleasant and has jazz playing faintly in the background while patrons speak and drink quietly and play chess and just unwind.

Two you might have missed over the holidays

By ROBERT GRUBAUGH For The Edge The two-week holiday stretch that ends every year is a complicated time for the movies. There's so many films squeezed into so many arbitrary and unpredictable release dates that you can easily miss a film here or forget one opens there. For those of us accustomed to seeing (at least) one new feature a week, it is a lot to keep track of. And that doesn't even factor in the red herring of limited releases (your "La La Land"s, your "Lion"s) as they starts to pop up into wider distribution. It's nothing new, this bizarre concept that plays out only in the coldest month, but it does seem to become more exaggerated and frustrating with every flip of the calendar year. Those words can also be applied to one of the

funnier films that appeared just before Christmas ("Why Him?") and one of the more tragically awful ("Assassin's Creed").

The cliché plot of "Why Him?" an uptight family meeting their coed daughter's free-spirit millionaire boyfriend at Christmas - is a tired framework that needed a little punching up and that's exactly what has happened with this perfectly entertaining, blue comedy. The domineering patriarch (Bryan Cranston, an unparalleled talent to vacillate between dramatic and comedic performances) and the dopey, foul-mouthed outsider (James Franco, playing a role I imagine is fairly close to how he would be in real life) have a good sparring chemistry, especially when you consider that each is far more like the other than either would admit. Pop runs a dying printing business in Michigan; his nemesis

founded a gaming app giant in Palo Alto. Both are fiercely independent, set in their own ways, and share a strong love for the same woman, the lovely rising star Zoey Deutch, daughter of one, lover of the other, and strong-willed all her own.

Taking the one-trick role that she has, Deutch elevates it to have her own presence and plays an able third lead. What sealed the deal in this movie for me was the killer supporting work by Mom (Megan Mullally) and Estate Manager/ Bodyguard Gustav (Keegan-Michael Key). And the cameo at the end

“Why Him?” runs 111 minutes and is rated R for strong language and sexual material throughout. I give this film two and a half stars out of four.

••• I wish I had kind words to write

about "Assassin's Creed", but the movie undelivered on the zero sum expectations that I set out for it. Not only is it uninventive, bland, confusing, and a waste of two hours, it was also completely unnecessary. From what I gather by reading online, the film is based on a still popular, ten year-old series of multiplatform video games that pit Assassins against Templars during the Crusades and Spanish Inquisition over the potential for world domination in the form of dark magic. It was just as stupid to see on the big screen as star Michael Fassbender must feel for having added it to his resume. My actual review of this movie was a series of red-faced 'anger' emojis I sent to a colleague after having watched it. That doesn't fill enough space, so I'm making my frustration better known here.

while co-star Marion Cotillard is prattling on about the nonsense science in the movie that lets a modern day convict (Fassbender) realize the memories of his longdead mercenary ancestor, I was daydreaming about her better movies, like "Allied" last month, or the under-appreciated "Two Days, One Night" from 2014. Supporting stars that I love (Jeremy Irons, Brendan Gleeson) are left standing around filling space. You know a movie is terrible when, even while watching it, you can't even name a single character. Who writes this junk? And did we learn nothing from the "World of Warcraft" debacle last summer?

"Assassi n' s Creed" runs 115 minutes and is rated PG-13 for intense sequences of violence and action, thematic elements, and brief strong language. I give this film half a star out of four.

By BILL ROSEBERRY Of The Edge For the first time since I've been writing You Gotta Eat, I decided to do a repeat review and it's at one of my favorite spots — Wang Gang Asian Eats in Edwardsville.

My first review of Wang Gang published on Feb. 13, 2014, but its received a little bit of a facelift since then. Located at 1035 Century Dr., Wang Gang is no stranger to expansions. It originally opened behind Moto Mart off of Rt. 157, but moved to its more spacious locale in 2013.

T h e n w h e n p r o p r i e t o r Ry a n O'Day decided to close his sister restaurant next door — Unkle Munkey's Coin Club — in late 2015, Wang Gang expanded again.

With the expansion seating for 50 additional patrons has been added, along with a VIP area. As Wang Gang grew again it just gave an opportunity for more people to enjoy its delicious food.

I recently took Kelly there, who had never been before, and we sat in the new addition in the back of the restaurant. I had raved about the awesomeness of Wang Gang for a long time, so she wanted to see what the hype was all about.

An Asian fusion restaurant, it offers a little bit of everything, from Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Korean and Vietnamese, but with that unique Wang Gang twist.

We started on the appetizer menu with the twice baked Wang Gang wings, a newer addition to the extensive menu. They were honey sriracha in flavor.

They were good, very sweet in taste, but didn't have quite the kick on the backend we were expecting.

I think they could have been a little wetter too, meaning they needed more sauce.

But when I moved onto my main course I wasn't disappointed. I went with a Wang Gang classic, the asparagus stir fry.

Wang Gang has an excellent stir fry portion of its menu and the asparagus stir fry is at the top of that list in my opinion. It consists of fresh cut asparagus and white onions tossed in a savory, sweet brown sauce with your choice of meat over either rice or egg noodles. I went with pork served on a bed of egg noodles.

the awesome fresh taste of the asparagus, to the saltiness of the pork and the extreme sweetness of the sauce. The sauce is so delicious I would have liked to slurp it all up through a straw. It's just a satisfying entree that hits the spot every time I've had it.

Kelly went with the Pad Thai with chicken for her choice. It consisted of rice noodles topped with egg, scallions, bean sprouts and the chicken seared in a Thai sweet and sour sauce with ground peanuts and topped with cilantro.

She liked it, but said she wished it had a little more of a kick.

That's the good thing about Wang Gang though, there is plenty to choose from, so on the rare occasion I've been disappointed with something I've ordered, I know I can always make up for it on my next trip.

The menu is huge, from an appetizer portion, to stir fry, fried rice, sandwiches, soups and salads, noodles, to the chow tacos and large plates, there's something for everyone.

The lettuce wraps on the starter menu are a must try, with seared chicken, red onions, Thai chilies, bell peppers and Thai basil in a Panang curry sauce served with large piece of iceberg lettuce, they're fantastic.

T h e c r a b r a n g o o n a re e v e n unique at Wang Gang. They look like small egg rolls when they arrive, with real lump crab meat, bell peppers, scallions and ginger, accompanied by a house-made soy mustard sauce. Trust me, they won't disappoint.

The tempura green beans are also good on the appetizer menu and I'd like to try the BBQ braised ginger ribs when I get a chance.

They're large pork ribs wok tossed in BBQ sauce.

The 9 dragon ribeye caught my eye on the large plates portion of the menu. It's a 12-ounce thick cut ribeye, topped with caramelized onions and served with a side of mashed potatoes or mashed butternut squash.

The honey orange and cashew chicken choices on the stir fry portion of the menu also look like can't miss picks.

Wa n g G a n g o f f e r s a n i c e selection of craft beers, too. I went with the Elysian night owl pumpkin ale on my visit. It has a hearty and sweet pumpkin taste and was a good way to wash down my meal.

Kelly went with a Moscow mule.

It's a cocktail made with vodka, ginger beer and lime juice. She raved about its taste.

Hopefully the good fortunes at Wang Gang continue and this great establishment can continue to grow. So next time you're i n E d w a rd s v i l l e a n d h a v e a hankering for delicious and unique Asian cuisine, stop by Wang Gang when you gotta eat.

illions of Americans start their day with a cup of hot coffee; an especially welcoming beverage on cold winter mornings. Think your cup of joe provides nothing more than a jolt of caffeine? Think again! It turns out that your daily cup can provide additional health benefits as well.

According to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, coffee provides one of the greatest sources of antioxidants in the American diet, due to the amount that is consumed.

“Another great benefit of coffee is that it is an excellent carrier for milk, which provides essential nutrients such as calcium, potassium, protein and phosphorus” says Erin Rich nutrition educator for St. Louis District Dairy Council.

Rather than sticking with the same old grind, break away from the standard cup of java and blend your brew with milk. Making your coffee a vehicle for milk is one way to ensure getting the recommended three servings of dairy per day. Start your day with a creamy caffé latte made with milk, espresso and topped with milk foam. “A regular 12-ounce latte typically contains a serving of milk, and provides a powerful calcium punch along with 8 grams of high quality protein” states Rich. Cappuccino and café mocha also

make the list of coffee drinks made with milk.

There’s no need to visit a trendy coffee shop for great tasting and nutritious drinks. You can make milk- rich coffee drinks at home that are both easy and affordable.

The 2015 Dietary Guidelines recommend that moderate coffee consumption can be incorporated into a healthy eating pattern.

“Moderate” translates into three to five 8-ounce cups per day and provides up to 400 mg of caffeine. For those avoiding caffeine, a cup of decaffeinated coffee has about 4 milligrams of caffeine, and remains a good carrier for milk. Coffee drinks can also be concocted using spices such as cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla. For a creamy infusion of flavor, consider using flavored milks, such as chocolate, vanilla or caramel. “The dairy case has something for everyone-including low fat and fat free varieties, as well as lactose free products, so the possibilities are endless” notes Rich.

Hot beverages like coffee help us feel warm on the inside even when the temperature drops on the outside. Try these coffee recipes at home for a drink that is both delicious and nutritious.

Recipes:

Peppermint Mocha Servings: 1 Ingredients: 1 cup milk, steamed 1 cup very strong coffee, prepared 1 tablespoon cocoa powder 1-2 tablespoons peppermint syrup- see recipe below Whipped Cream (optional) Chocolate Syrup (optional) Crushed Peppermints (optional) Directions: In a pot, heat up one cup of milk until it is steaming. Froth the milk with a wire whisk or an immersion blender until it is nice and foamy.

In your coffee cup, mix together the p re p a re d c o ff e e , c o c o a p o w d e r a n d peppermint syrup until there are no lumps.

Pour the milk foam over the top of the coffee/ mocha mixture and stir to incorporate. Top with whipped cream, a drizzle of chocolate syrup, and crushed peppermints if desired.

Peppermint Syrup Ingredients: 1 cup sugar 1 cup water 2 teaspoons peppermint extract

Directions: In a small saucepan, bring sugar and water to a boil. Reduce heat to medium and stir constantly until sugar is dissolved.

Stir in the peppermint extract. Cool to room temperature and store in a glass jar in the refrigerator for up to three months.

Nutrition Facts: 117 calories, 3 gm fat, 30% calcium Eggnog Latte Servings: 1 Ingredients: ½ cup lowfat eggnog ¼ cup milk ½ cup strong coffee Nutmeg for garnish Directions: Combine cold eggnog with milk and steam.

Add hot coffee to steamed eggnog mixture and sprinkle with nutmeg.

Don’t have a milk steamer? Pour milk into a glass jar with a tight fitting lid. The milk should not rise above the halfway point as you need room for the milk to expand.

Replace lid and shake vigorously for 30 seconds until the milk has doubled in size.

Remove the lid and microwave for 30-40 seconds.

Edgar Degas's fascination with highfashion hats and the young women who made them is the inspiration for this groundbreaking exploration of the Paris millinery trade from about 1875 to 1914.

D e g a s , I m p re s s i o n i s m , a n d t h e P a r i s Millinery Trade will feature 60 paintings and pastels, including key works by Degas that have never been exhibited in the United States, as well as an array of period hats.

Organized by the Saint Louis Art Museum and the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, the exhibition is the first to examine a crucial and little-known area of Degas's decades-long study of Parisian modern life. The exhibition situates Degas's output within the context of the work of his fellow Impressionists who were also fascinated by hats, including Édouard Manet, PierreAuguste Renoir, Mary Cassatt, and Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. The exhibition relates these artists to the enormous industry of hat production and consumption in Paris in the late-19th and early-20th century.

Degas, Impressionism, and the Paris Millinery Trade is curated by Simon Kelly, the Museum's curator of modern and contemporary art, and Esther Bell, curator-incharge of European painting at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco. Tickets for the exhibition go on sale November 22.

he Muny announced recently the directors, choreographers and music directors for The Muny’s 2017 Season, which opens on June 12 with Jesus Christ Superstar.

“Our 2017 season feels so electric,” said Muny Artistic Director and Executive Producer Mike Isaacson. “Each of these teams is set to create productions that will leap from the stage into our audiences’ hearts. I’m honored to be working with them.”

JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR Lyrics by Tim Rice Music by Andrew Lloyd Webber GORDON GREENBERG (Director) recently co-wrote and directed the Broadway stage adaptation of Irving Berlin's Holiday Inn for Roundabout and Universal Stage Productions. For The Muny he has directed Holiday Inn (2015), West Side Story (2013) and Pirates! (2012). His acclaimed West End revival of Guys And Dolls was nominated for six Olivier Awards and recently finished an extended run at the Savoy and then the Phoenix Theatre in London (starring Rebel Wilson). Chris was the associate choreographer for the Broadway revival of Evita, the Broadway productions of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Cry-Baby and Promises, Promises. In London’s West End, Chris choreographed Assassins at the Menier Chocolate Factory and was an associate choreographer for Guys and Dolls, Evita, Once in a Lifetime and Candide.
