Our Garden is set in an arid environment exploring draught tolerant, hardy planting which can withstand the weather extremes caused by global warming.

We wanted to design a garden which shows the positive concepts which can come from this seemingly dooming change.
The hard landscaping within the design uses materials that are resilient to temperature rise, such as wood and stone.

This project was conducted as a group of myself and 3 peers. The brief of this group work was to design a submission to enter the Chaumont design festival. We did this through various meeting to decide upon our concept before allocating a section for our each to create.
The biodiversity in our gardens is being disrupted as certain species are struggling to survive with the change in climate. With much hotter and dryer summers the flora we love in our green spaces need to evolve and be resilient to accommodate this change.
