Payments world There has never been a better time for connected key banking industries to share a common vision of growth in cards, payments and mobile transactions and tackle challenges to go beyond economic instability.

This year, Efma has developed a new venue offering a one-stop Payments world agenda:

Mobile and advanced payments Cards and payments These two conferences aim to re-define the payments universe in one cost-effective event format. The agenda will gather experts to discuss emerging innovations and best practices in a new era of payments.

The mobile phone is now poised to replace the wallet in customers’ pockets. Banks that have previously been slow to invest in the area of mobile payments and wider digital banking services are now rapidly expanding their activities in these areas. Smartphones, converged TVs and computers, 4G and apps, along with contactless and NFC technologies, are all adding to the buzz surrounding mobile. However, choosing the right mix of services and staying close to consumers and meeting their expectations can pose a significant challenge as banks embrace a new era in ‘advanced payment’ services.

Mobile payments require strong branding and innovation as well as security and e-signature solutions, so that they can provide the critical mass needed to enable today’s mobile customers to use strong, secure electronic credentials wherever they work, live or play. Many banks are forming new partnerships within the mobile and tablet sector as more advanced payment models are developed. Others are examining opportunities in key vertical markets, including healthcare, e-gaming, retail, automotive, education, cloud and network administration, desktop computer access and e-government.

The Efma Mobile and advanced payments conference will explore the key topics in this sector, in partnership with leading industry speakers and delegates.
