The Creed - Statement of Faith I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible. And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all worlds; God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God; begotten, not made; being of one substance with the Father, by whom all things were made. Who, for us men and for our salvation, came down from heaven, and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the Virgin Mary, and was made man; and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate. He suffered and died and was buried; and the third day He rose again, according to the Scriptures, and ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of the Father; and He shall come again, with glory, to judge the living and the dead; whose Kingdom shall have no end. And I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and Giver of Life; who proceeds from the Father; who with the Father and the Son, together is worshiped and glorified; who spoke by the prophets. And I believe in one, holy and apostolic church. I believe in the Scriptures, confirmed by our Lord Jesus Christ; as the true Word of God, inspired, by the Spirit of God. I acknowledge, one baptism for the remission of sins; in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit; And I hope for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.

What is Salvation? John 3:16 - “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. The simplest definition of salvation is to be delivered (or rescued) from peril/danger. God made Adam and Eve and they sinned. And because they sinned, we all became sinners through them. God sent Jesus Christ to rescue us from the consequence of our sin, and everybody falls into the category of sinner.
Why be Saved? John 3:5 - Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and [of] the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. Though life on earth is temporary, life is eternal and it never ends. The decision we all have to make is whether, we will spend it, either, in hell or heaven. Romans 3:23 - For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; The real problem is sin and guilt. That's the issue. It doesn't matter whether you're among the haves or the have-nots, whether you have great expectations or none at all, whether you're consumed by your passions or exhibit a degree of self-control and discipline-you are still a sinner. You have broken the law of God and He's angry about it. Unless something happens to change your condition, you're on your way to eternal hell. You need to be rescued from the consequences of your sin.
How Can I be Saved? Romans 10:9-10 - That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Beauty of salvation is that it is the free of God to mankind and available to all who are willing to accept it and obey His commandments in the Word of God. Repeat the prayer below, earnestly and sincerely from the heart and the Lord will save you.
Prayer of Salvation Father in heaven, I admit that I am a sinner. I have done many things that does not please you. I have lived my life for myself only. I am sorry, and I repent for my ways. I ask you to forgive me all my sins and cleanse me by the blood of your Son, Jesus Christ.. I believe that your Son, Jesus Christ, died on the cross of Calvary for me, to save me and You raised Him up from the dead. You did what I could not do for myself. I come to you now and ask you to take control of my life; I give it to you. From this day forward, You are the Lord of my life and my Saviour. Help me to live every day for you, and in a way that pleases you. I love you, Lord, and I thank you that I will spend all eternity with you. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray, Amen.

STUDY GUIDE WHY SHOULD I STUDY GOD’s WORD? God’s Words are in the Bible. This is the most important subject you will ever learn. All that you study in school and life, ends with this life. What you study here, stays with you in this life and in the next, all throughout eternity. The Bible contains the mind of God, the state of man, the way of salvation, the doom of sinners, and the happiness of believers. Its doctrines are holy, its precepts are binding, its histories are true, and its decisions are immutable. Read it to be wise, believe it to be safe, and practice it to be holy. It contains light to direct you, food to support you, and comfort to cheer you. It is the traveler’s map, the pilgrim’s staff, the pilot’s compass, the soldier’s sword and the Christian’s charter. Here too, Heaven is opened and the gates of Hell disclosed. Christ is its grand subject, our good its design, and the glory of God its end. It should fill the memory, rule the heart and guide the feet. Read it slowly, frequently and prayerfully. It is a mine of wealth, a paradise of glory, and a river of pleasure. It is given you in life, will be opened at the judgment, and be remembered forever. It involves the highest responsibility, rewards the greatest labor, and will condemn all who trifle with its sacred contents.
HOW SHOULD I STUDY? Your school textbooks change and the information keeps changing as new things come along. God’s word does not change. God’s word has been written with you and your life in mind. It will speak to you. ު
Seek to Understand :
- Try to understand the Word of God. Ask
God to speak to you through His Word and He will. ު
Memorize It
: - God’s word has no expiry. It is your guide and lamp,
on your way to eternity. The more you remember, better you understand His will. Steps to memorizing God’s Word a. Start by reading the verse you want to memorize atleast 5-10 times b. Try to recall and repeat the verse you want to learn. c. Read again and check if you were correct d. Repeat the steps from step ‘a’ If you follow the above listed steps, you will develop ability to memorize easily and quickly, ު
Revise It
: - Regularly read and revise, what you learned, to ensure
that you don’t forget them. a. Repeat at least 3 times, whenever you revise the memorised verse. b. If you systematically revise, you’ll never forget what you learned.

He said that I could come into His presence without fear, into the holy place where His mercy hovers near. I'm running, I'm running, I'm running to the mercy seat where Jesus is calling. His grace will be my covering, His blood will flow freely, it will provide my healing. I'm running to the mercy seat. Are you living where hope has not been? Lost in the curse of a lifetime of sin? Lovely illusions, they never come true, But I know where there's a place of mercy for you. He said that you could come into His presence without fear, into the holy place where His mercy hovers near. Come running, come running, come running to the mercy seat where Jesus is calling, His grace will be your covering. His blood will flow freely, it will provide your healing. What heights of love, what depths of peace, When fears are stilled, when strivings cease! My comforter, my all in all Here in the love of Christ I stand. In Christ alone, Who took on flesh, Fullness of God in helpless babe! This gift of love and righteousness, Scorned by the ones He came to save. 'Til on that cross as Jesus died, The wrath of God was satisfied For ev'ry sin on Him was laid Here in the death of Christ I live. There in the ground His body lay, Light of the world by darkness slain Then bursting forth in glorious day, Up from the grave He rose again! And as He stands in victory, Sin's curse has lost its grip on me For I am His and He is mine Bought with the precious blood of Christ. No guilt in life, no fear in death This is the pow'r of Christ in me From life's first cry to final breath, Jesus commands my destiny. Clay or the recipe below: 1 cup flour ½ cup salt 2 tablespoons Cream of Tartar 1 cup water 2 tablespoons food coloring (optional) 2 tablespoons oil Boil Water Mix and Cool 8. Wax Paper for each student
Directions 1. Pass out a small piece of wax paper and a small lump of play dough to each student. 2. Allow students to make Adam and Eve out of clay.
For Discussion As students are working on their Adam and Eve figures, remind them how God created man in His own image. He created man without sin. It would not be until the devil, in the form of a serpent, deceived Eve that sin would enter into the world. Because of sin, we needed someone to save us from our sins. That someone was God’s own son, Jesus. Invite the students to receive Christ as their savior, by having them pray something like, “Dear Jesus, Please forgive me for all the bad things I’ve done. I know all those bad things are sin. Please come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. Thank you Jesus, for coming into my heart. In your name I pray, Amen.”

The Fall of Man Genesis 3:1-24 Craft/Activity: Tasty Trees Students will make a “tree of the knowledge of good and evil” that is edible to remind them how sin entered into the world when Eve was deceived by the serpent and ate the fruit.
Materials 1. ¼ Cup Butter 2. 3 Cups Mini Marshmallows 3. ½ Teaspoon Green Food Coloring 4. 4 Cups Corn Flake Cereal 5. Red Hots or Runts Candies 6. Gummy Worms 7. Large Glass Bowl 8. Spoon 9. Electric Griddle (or microwave oven) 10. Sauce Pan 11. Ice Cream Cones 12. Measuring Cups and Spoons
Directions 1. In the microwave, melt the butter in the glass bowl (on an electric griddle, melt butter in a sauce pan).
2. 3. 4. 5. 6.
Stir in the marshmallows and melt together. Add the food coloring and mix thoroughly. Stir in the corn flakes. Form the mixture into a ball shape and place on top of an ice cream cone. Add Red Hots or Runts to represent the fruit. Place a gummy worm on top to represent the serpent.
For Discussion While the students are making their “tasty trees” highlight the key points from the story. Help them understand the memory verse below. Desire leads to sin. Sin leads to death apart from God. Satan often disguises sin as “sweet” like the fruit, yet sin always leads to death. Give students the opportunity to receive Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.

Directions 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7.
Copy two (2) Bible Concentration Masters onto 67 lb. cardstock for each student. Have students color the animals. Cut the cards into pieces on the black lines. Turn all the cards face down on the table. With a partner, students will take turns turning over two cards at a time. If a student matches two cards, he/she keeps the cards. If the cards do not match, both cards are turned back over and the next player attempts to match two cards. 8. Both players take turns until all cards have been matched. 9. The player with the most cards at the end wins. 10. Give each student a paper clip to clip his/her cards together.
For Discussion As students are coloring their cards, help them realize that each of the pairs of animals brought onto the ark was for the purpose of reproducing after the ark came to rest. Mankind (and all the animals) had to be destroyed due to their wickedness. This was God’s way of dealing with sin. Later, God would send his own son to die in our place. Jesus would take our sin upon himself so that we would not pay for our sin. Give students an opportunity to receive Christ as their personal Lord and Savior so that they will not continue down the road that leads to destruction. Review the verse below with the students.

Have students play the game with a partner by spinning the spinner (paper clip). If the paper clip lands on “2”, for example, that player moves ahead two spaces. If the student lands on a box with directions, the directions must be followed. The first player to make it to the last box wins. Students can take turns using each other’s game boards.

Teams should be facing each other. This game is like Red Rover. One team will start by saying to the other, “Abraham, Abraham, send us a ram. Directions 1. Pass out a small handful of mini marshmallows to each student. 2. Pass out a small paper plate to build the “altars” on. 3. Place small amounts of peanut butter in 5 oz. disposable cups. (Students may share a cup of peanut butter with a partner or small group) 4. Distribute a plastic knife or Popsicle stick to each student to use when spreading the mortar (peanut butter) on the bricks (marshmallows). 5. Pass out a few Chinese fried noodles to each student to represent the wood on the altar. 6. Demonstrate how to smear a small amount of peanut butter on the marshmallows and stick them together.
For Discussion As students are building their “altars” discuss how Abraham trusted in God even though it required him to nearly sacrifice his own son. Discuss how God provided a substitute, the ram, to take the place for his son. Help students realize that God provided a perfect sacrifice for US through his son Jesus. We are not required to pay for our sins if we receive Christ as our savior. The ram in the story took Isaac’s place. Jesus took our place and took on our sin that we might have a personal relationship with Him. Romans 6:23 tells us that “… the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Jesus is the perfect lamb that was slain. “Dear Jesus,
The Bible teaches that we have all sinned and do not measure up to God’s glory. It also teaches that the price for sin is death which separates us from God. But even though we are sinners, Christ died for us and paid the price for our sin. We just need to ask him to forgive us and receive his free gift of salvation. Just pray this prayer, with a sincere heart, and Jesus will forgive you of your sins. You will become a child of God and live with Him in heaven.

Jesus Loves Children Mark 10:13-16 Craft/Activity: Children of the World Mobiles Students will make a mobile of the world representing diverse ethnicities. This will help children remember that Jesus loves all the children of the world.
Materials 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6.
White 67 lb. Cardstock Children of the World Mobile Pattern Hole Punch Yarn Crayons, Markers, or Colored Pencils Scissors
Directions 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.
Copy a “Children of the World Mobile Pattern” for each student on 67 lb. Cardstock. Have students color the world and children with crayons, markers, or colored pencils. Allow students to cut out each piece of the mobile. Help students punch holes in each piece of the mobile. Tie small pieces of yarn from the world to each of the children.
For Discussion As students are working on their mobiles, remind them of how Jesus loved the children so much that he told his disciples to let the children come to him. Help students understand that Jesus used this opportunity to teach his disciples that entering the kingdom of God means accepting God’s truths and his Son through faith. Children are most responsive to the idea of truly believe in something they cannot see (which is the definition of faith). Much like they believe in Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy, or the Easter Bunny, children have little difficulty believing in God. This story illustrates how adults should believe like children.
