As Key Clubbers we have a duty to serve others and our community! We shouldn’t lose sight of that greater purpose that we have as Key Clubbers. True, the social aspect is fun too, but do not forget that we are an organization that cares, that serves, the fun just comes with it! With that said, DCON is fast approaching! Keep safe and follow the rules that they enforce!

Conclave Conclave was really a nerve wracking event. With the tension rising, all we could do was hope and pray that Marion would win the position of LTG. Right when they announced his success, every one of us cheered with joy and excitement. Conclave not only looked on good on Marion and for the reputation of Marshall Key Cub, but it also gave us the experience to support a fellow member and strengthened the bond we have as a family. This event will forever be known to have the very first Marshall LTG in the past 10 years. Congratulations Marion! We know you'll make us proud -Arianna Dela Rosa
Ronald McDonald’s house
Well, I helped with the kitchen duty along with some of the other key members and i also made new friends from the key club members of other schools. I got to meet and play with kids and it was really fun since the kids really liked me and they had a great time playing the games I suggested. I also got to meet those nice, sweet people who (work? Or supervise?) there and it was really nice knowing I got to help them out and knowing that I gave back to my community. It was a really fun experience -Marie Castelltort

For the month of February, John Marshall High’s Key Club would like to award Marion Barleta as Member of the Month. Marion’s commitment has certainly been displayed as he has attended nearly all recent events. He is always present at every club meeting and goes the extra mile by getting involved and participating whenever he can. Marion continuously adds his own enthusiasm and shares his Sharkey spirit without fail. He is constantly open to engaging in any and all volunteer opportunities, especially those at the Ronald McDonald House. In addition to receiving Member of the Month back in August of 2011, Marion has definitely furthered his involvement with Key Club. He has gone from a passionate Key Clubber to Division 3‘s Kiwanis Family Coordinator. Most recently, Marion has become the first ever Lieutenant Governor Elect for Division 3 South! It was obvious in choosing Marion Barleta as February’s Member of the Month. Congratulations, Marion! There is no doubt that you’ll do a great job in next year’s term. We wish you the best of luck! For the month of February, John Marshall High awards it’s very own Erick Jason Reyno as Officer of the month. As this year’s Bulletin Editor, he has furthered his involvement with Key Club even more. Erick never fails to attend every club meeting and make both new and old members feel welcome. He displays much of his passion by dedicating ample amounts of time and effort into his submissions every single month. Erick has definitely proved to be capable of staying on top of all of his work, which is depicted by his successful monthly newsletters. He is never afraid to express his love for Key Club and does so by volunteering when he can. Furthermore, he is now John Marshall High’s new Secretary elect and, alongside the newly elected 2012-13 board, he is sure to do well. It’s no wonder why Erick was chosen for February’s Officer of the Month! Written by Vice President Joela Canlas

Ever wondered what Key Club does and what makes a Key Clubber, well a Key Clubber? We are an organization of service. We help people in need and anyone who ask for help! We mold students into a more involved person in a community or any environment! We create bonds with the people we meet along the way. With Key Club, we transform into a more mature person who is willing to help others at any cost. We care about people, people we know, and people we don’t. A Key Clubber’s duty is to do well in their community and hopefully make a change for the better! That is what constitutes a Key Clubber, someone who loves caring, helping, and serving. Caring… Our way of life. BEE-involved
