Disqualification d’un coureur sur l’UTMB® 2015 L'organisation de l'UTMB® a pris connaissance ce jour de la liste des récentes infractions aux règles antidopage publiée par l'IAAF et des sanctions prises à l'encontre de leurs auteurs. Gonzalo Calisto (Equateur) compte parmi les athlètes suspendus, à la suite d'un contrôle antidopage positif effectué à Chamonix le 29 Août 2015 à l'arrivée de l'UTMB®. En conséquence, Gonzalo Calisto (classé 5e de l'UTMB® 2015) est officiellement disqualifié et mis en demeure de restituer son trophée et sa veste finisher. Le résultat officiel 2015 sera corrigé dans les plus brefs délais sur le site de l'UTMB®. Les trophées remis aux 10 premiers hommes étant des œuvres d'art uniques, chaque coureur classé de la 5ème à 9ème place recevra une nouvelle plaque, tandis que le 10ème recevra le trophée auquel il a droit. Par ailleurs, l'organisation rappelle que pour conserver l'esprit de l'événement et son authenticité, une politique de santé a été mise en place depuis 2008. Elle comprend en particulier une action de prévention en matière de santé, menée en collaboration avec Athletes for Transparency (depuis 2008) et avec l'ITRA - International Trail Running Association (depuis 2014). Cette action n'a ni vocation, ni compétence à se substituer aux réglementations nationales et internationales en vigueur en matière de lutte antidopage mais a pour objet de renforcer la surveillance médicale souhaitée par l'Organisation et elle est susceptible de permettre une meilleure orientation des contrôles anti-dopages diligentés par les différentes organisations anti dopage. Disqualification of a runner from the 2015 UTMB® The UTMB® organisation has today seen the list of recent infringements concerning the rules of antidoping published by the IAAF and the penalties applied to the offenders. Gonzalo Calisto (Ecuador) is included in the list of athletes who are suspended, following a positive result of an anti-doping test which was carried out in Chamonix on August 29th 2015 at the finishing line of the UTMB®. Consequently, Gonzalo Calisto (ranked 5th in the UTMB® 2015) has been officially disqualified and has been instructed to return his trophy and finisher's jacket. The 2015 official results will be corrected as soon as possible on the UTMB® web-site.
The trophies given to the top ten men were unique works of art, each runner placed from 5th to 9th place will receive a new plaque, while the 10th runner will receive the trophy to which he is entitled. At the same time, the organisation would like to remind you that to maintain the spirit of the event, and its authenticity, a health policy has been in place for the UTMB® since 2008. It includes, in particular, a preventive initiative regarding health matters. This action is carried out in collaboration with Athletes for Transparency (since 2008) and the ITRA (since 2014).This action has neither the vocation, nor the competence to be a substitute for current national and international regulations concerning the fight against doping but has the objective of reinforcing the medical supervision wished for by the Organisation and it may allow for a better orientation of doping tests prompted by various anti-doping organizations.
