Buen o mal gobernante
Una muestra de llevar un buen gobierno es ser querido y admirado por los vecinos. La tarea de gobernar es muy compleja, y como es natural, el que manda debe rodearse de colaboradores que deben tener cualidades semejantes a las de su jefe. El gobernante debe inspirar una gran confianza, lo que requiere de competencia para desempeñar el cargo, dedicación seria a la misión encomendada, cumplir lo que dice, informar con objetividad y transparencia, reconocer con sencillez sus errores y admitir las críticas ponderadas. Si el pueblo advirtiera incompetencia, ocultamiento de información que el gobernante tiene obligación de comunicar, contradicción de criterios, falsedades comprobadas…, la confianza se convertiría en desconfianza, inseguridad, sospecha de intenciones ocultas... Una muestra clara de llevar un buen gobierno es ser querido y admirado por los ciudadanos, incluso por los que no hayan votado por él; al menos estos reconocerán su valía y ejemplaridad. Si no es querido mayoritariamente por aquellos a los que gobierna no habrá alcanzado una de las mayores satisfacciones de gobernante y tendría que revisar con sinceridad cómo ha cumplido su misión. La doctrina de la Iglesia sobre la actitud que el cristiano ha de tener hacia los que gobiernan es evangélica. Basta recordar las indicaciones de san Pablo a Timoteo para que “se hagan súplicas y oraciones... por todos los constituidos en autoridad, para que podamos llevar una vida tranquila y sosegada, con toda piedad y respeto”, (1 Tim. 2, 2). El cristiano tiene presente en sus oraciones a los que gobiernan y a la vez debe llamarles la atención (por los cauces adecuados) si se apartan del fin para el que han sido elegidos. José M. Are we ready for a return to normal
Welcome to the latest issue of La Voz del Resident, coming to you at a time when things are beginning, very slowly but surely, to return to some kind of normality. This was brought home to me this past weekend, a public holiday in Spain and Gibraltar, as well as a lifting of the Provincial boundary restrictions, couple that with some lovely weather and we saw hundreds of people on the promenade in Sabinillas, and no doubt at other popular spots along the Costa. This was a little taster of what we might expect over the coming months, especially as the rate of incidence comes down as more people are vaccinated and the regional border closures are relaxed. So then, are we prepared for the return of visitors? I must admit it felt strangely odd to see all these people gathered on the Paseo, with many of the restaurants packed to levels unseen for the past 13 months. What then are we to expect when all restrictions are lifted, will we see a slow return to pre Covid behaviours, or will people go wild in some sort of post-apocalyptic frenzy, making up for those lost months? I’m sure behavioural scientists will be rubbing their hands with glee at the chance to observe this. For many people though, the main concern is how quickly the economy picks up and businesses can start to earn a profit again, I suppose some of that depends on the answer to the question posed in the last paragraph. All we can do is wait and see and thank the stars that we’re still in business and hopefully help those who weren’t so fortunate. Gary Beaumont, Editor

Manilva Urbanismo solicita a la Junta de Andalucía la autorización ambiental, para el proyecto de la nueva entrada al Polígono de La Dehesilla La GEUMA ha dado un paso importante para llevar adelante esta esperada actuación que conlleva un Plan Especial inter-municipal entre los municipios de Manilva y Casares por la ubicación del acceso a esta zona industrial. A pesar de los inconvenientes surgidos, el gobierno local ya cuenta con los informes favorables de viabilidad y de Medio Ambiente y ha solicitado a la Junta de Andalucía la “autorización ambiental unificada del proyecto de entrada al Polígono Industrial La Dehesilla”. “El actual acceso al Polígono Industrial “La Dehesilla” se realiza por el “Camino de Los Baños” donde, tanto la pendiente longitudinal como los radios de giro no son los adecuados para el tipo de tráfico que se genera en un polígono indus-
trial. Se trata de un trazado en el que se superan pendientes del 15 % y el radio de giro en el punto bajo es de unos 12 m, lo que es claramente insuficiente para la circulación de vehículos pesados. Y todo a través de un vial que consta de unos 350 m de longitud y una anchura media de 7 m. con un pavimento deficitario debido al agotamiento estructural del firme, lo que hace aún más desfavorable la circulación de vehículos”, recoge el informe remitido por el Ayuntamiento de Manilva a los organismos competentes. El trabajo realizado desde el área de Urbanismo recoge también que “con el objetivo de mejorar el acceso a un espacio estratégico para la economía manilveña, el Ayuntamiento interesó la redacción del proyec-
to técnico a la Diputación provincial para llevar a cabo la mejora de trazado, previéndose un nuevo vial de 311 m de longitud, donde los parámetros de diseño se adaptan mejor al tráfico de vehículos pesados, que

a priori, serán los que mayor uso le den al acceso”. Sobre este nuevo trazado para acceder al polígono, el alcalde de Manilva, Mario Jiménez, insiste ante la Junta de Andalucía en la importancia de dotar a esta
infraestructura de esta nueva entrada, que considera “fundamental para los vecinos que allí tienen sus negocios y que espera pueda ser una realidad a medio plazo”.

La manilveña, María José Gil Lozano, será la encargada de la decoración del muro y vanos, de la zona de la Pedreta, tras ganar el concurso puesto en marcha por la alcaldía. El jurado, compuesto por Concepción Ferrer, José Tirado, Juan Oliva, Eva García, Alba Jiménez y Ma-
rio Jiménez, se encargó de designar, tras ver los trabajos presentados, a la ganadora de este certamen. La artista, que se mostró encantada de poder llevar a cabo este trabajo ha propuesto a través del arte urbano, "suavizar o minimizar el contraste existente entre los viejos
muros periféricos al casco antiguo en la Calle Pedreta, y la panorámica que se disfruta al otro lado de la misma calle". El mural urbano ocupa una fachada de 125 metros lineales por 2,5 de alto, que suponen un total de 312 m².

Ahmed Ksiri, presidente del Ateneo Libre de Manilva, ha recibido la comunicación de la Secretaría General del Observatorio Nacional de Seguimiento de Políticas Regionales, en el que se le comunica "el reconocimiento a su labor en España y más concretamente en la Costa del Sol". El galardón le será entregado en el mes de mayo, si se levantan las actuales restricciones por covid y Ksiri ha manifestado a LVR que "es de agradecer esta distinción del Gobierno de Marruecos, por un trabajo que junto a mis compañeros realizo encantado por mi amor a la Cultura y el
Arte". El escrito recoge "el agradecimiento por los esfuerzos realizados al servicio de la comunidad marroquí en España, así como la promoción del Reino de Marruecos, en beneficio de una Cultura para la humanidad, así como por su trabajo durante la pandemia en beneficio de las personas más necesitadas".

Este programa de actividades está destinado a toda la población infantil y juvenil del municipio, sin perjuicio de que puedan participar y colaborar personas adultas afines al proyecto (madres y padres, tutores legales, docentes, agrupaciones ecologistas, asociaciones de senderismo etc). “Proyecto Camaleón” combina dos elementos: el senderismo y la educación ambiental. "Project Chameleon" presents a walking and environmental education programme MANILVA | Manilva Council's Environment Department, led by Councillor Laura López, has prepared a programme of Hiking and Environmental Education activities, called "Project Chameleon". Este curso semipresencial tendrá un contenido sobre la historia del espeto, la seguridad laboral e higiene, la protección medioambiental, fases del servicio, deontología profesional, atención al cliente y protocolo, aplicaciones gastronómicas, las personas en la cocina, guarniciones y maridaje del espeto. El citado edil ha destacado la importancia que tiene la gastronomía en nuestra localidad y concretamente el espeto, uno de los manjares que se ofrecen en la hostelería local. La Delegación de Medio Ambiente busca la homologación de los senderos y caminos Con la intención de homologar los senderos que recorren el término municipal, se ha celebrado una reunión con técnicos de senderos de Málaga especializados en la elaboración de este tipo de proyectos. Manilva cuenta con una rica y extensa red de caminos rurales en su término municipal, con vías pecuarias como la Cañada Real de Los Barrios a Estepona, la Vereda de la Cañada del Apartadero, la Vereda de San Roque y su entorno, de especial interés el descansadero del Indiano. La puesta en marcha de este proyecto es dar marco legal en el uso de algunos de los caminos y vías pecuarias para el espar-
cimiento y recreo público, pudiendo ser utilizadas para practicar senderismo, cicloturismo, footing o paseo a caballo, entre otras. Laura López, Concejal de Medio Ambiente, reconoce como principales objetivos de esta iniciativa, "la
protección del medio físico natural y la recuperación de los elementos de interés cultural en el suelo del municipio, para responder a las demandas de espacios para el ejercicio de actividades recreativas y de ocio".

La Consejería de Educación confirma que Manilva tendrá un nuevo instituto La delegada territorial de Educación y Deporte, Mercedes García Paine, ha hecho público que Manilva contará con un nuevo instituto. Los responsables municipales, ante el ratio excesivamente elevado de alumnos en el actual centro, propuso la construcción de un nuevo centro que aliviara al I.E. Las Viñas. El alcalde de Manilva, Mario Jiménez, el concejal de Educación, Daniel Muñoz y los ediles de Infraestructura y Obras, Diego José Jiménez y el de Urbanismo, Mar-
cos Ruiz, se mostraban "muy satisfechos del trabajo realizado y sobre todo, que haya tenido un final tan productivo para nuestro municipio". En las pasadas semanas, técnicos del ente supramunicipal visitaron Manilva para supervisar las posibilidades de terreno que ofrecía el Ayuntamiento. Ante esta magnífica noticia, el objetivo principal del equipo de gobierno "será acortar los plazos en la gestión y que el instituto sea una realidad lo antes posible".

Acondicionamiento de la vía peatonal que une Manilva y Casares
El camino peatonal que discurre desde la zona comercial de Lidl hacia el río Manilva está siendo acondicionado ya que presentaba un aspecto de deterioro. Esta vía de unión entre Manilva y Casares costa es muy utilizada por los vecinos y necesitaba ser arreglada. De ahí que el área de Infraestructura y Obras,
dirigida por Diego José Jiménez, ya tenga en marcha estos trabajos que estarán finalizados en unos días. Los mismos consisten en el hormigonado de todo el trayecto anexo a la autovía y hasta el puente del Río Manilva, y parte de acerado en el otro extremo. Se trata de unos 135 metros lineales, que una vez
finalizados vendrán a ofrecer un tránsito mucho más cómodo y seguro para las personas que usan este sendero peatonal. Como es habitual en el área dirigida por Jiménez, estas labores de las denominadas menores, las realiza una empresa local a través de licitación.

Más de 120 kilos de basura recogidos en la playa en la segunda batida organizada por la Asociación Subacuática Casares. Unos 40 voluntarios se sumaron a esta recogida de basura en la que partici-
paron buzos, tablas de paddle surf y personas a pie que recorrieron la playa de la Torre de la Sal retirando los residuos. Un total de 123 kilos en apenas dos horas, en su mayoría plásticos, latas y envases.
La asociación repetirá estas batidas el último lunes de cada mes y prepara además otras acciones de limpieza y concienciación ambiental en el casco histórico y en otros puntos del municipio.

The works, carried out by the Casares Costa Department, saw a municipal investment of 10,000 euros. As explained by the Councillor for Casares Costa, Jorge Jiménez, the footpaths have been treated with a layer of brushed
concrete, a non-slip finish that offers safety for users and requires less maintenance. Last year similar works were carried out on the paths around the playground, and in a next phase the paths in the upper area of the park will be restored, replacing the entire path of pressed earth, which was continuously deteriorated due to the effect of the rains.

Estepona El Ayuntamiento finaliza la remodelación del paseo marítimo, que se conecta al proyecto de corredor litoral El Ayuntamiento de Estepona informa que las obras de remodelación integral del paseo marítimo han finalizado tras actuar sobre una superficie total de 19.645 metros cuadrados. La teniente alcalde del área de Fomento, Infraestructuras y Turismo (FIT), Ana Velasco, ha explicado que la transformación de este espacio ha supuesto, además de la mejora estética, su integración en el proyecto de corredor litoral, que tiene como objetivo unir toda la costa a través de sendas peatonales para el disfrute de los ciudadanos. La responsable municipal ha explicado que ahora el tramo central del paseo marítimo, que discurre desde la rotonda de intersección con la avenida Andalucía hasta la rotonda de la avenida Juan Carlos I, resulta más accesible y facilita el acceso hacia los tramos de corredor litoral que se han ejecutado o que se encuentran en fase de desarrollo. En cuanto a los trabajos efectuados en el paseo marítimo, Velasco ha indicado que han consistido en la renovación de todo el pavimento y de sus instalaciones. Además, se ha
instalado un nuevo mobiliario urbano (bancos, pérgolas, fuentes y papeleras) y se han sustituido las antiguas luminarias por luces de led más respetuosas con el medio ambiente, lo que supondrá un importante ahorro energético y económico. También se ha llevado a cabo la renovación completa de la plaza García Caparrós. Esta remodelación ha contado con una inversión de 1.731.554 millones de euros (más IVA). El 80 por ciento de la misma ha sido subvencionado con Fondos Europeos de Desarrollo Regional (FEDER), a través del proyecto municipal ‘Estrategia de Desarrollo Urbano Sostenible e Integrado (EDUSI) Estepona, Jardín de la Costa del Sol’. El 20 por ciento restante ha sido costeado con fondos propios del Consistorio. El objetivo de este proyecto ha sido remodelar de forma integral el paseo marítimo de Estepona para dar homogeneidad a todo este espacio con la utilización de materiales y elementos modernos, eficientes y sostenibles; así como la reordenación de espacios para potenciar el uso peatonal de este enclave de la ciudad, tal y como se
ha hecho en el centro urbano con la remodelación de más de 17 kilómetros de viales urbanos. Así, en los tramos donde el ancho lo ha permitido (desde edificio Iberia a la avenida Juan Carlos I) se han creado amplias zonas de estancia de sombra. Asimismo, el tramo desde la Oficina de Correos hasta el restaurante El Pescador se ha mejorado bajando las jardineras a nivel del suelo, consiguiendo un espacio abierto al mar. En los próximos días, el Ayuntamiento llevará a cabo labores para reforzar la jardinería y la vegetación del paseo marítimo, con idea de seguir potenciándolo como espacio público.

Estepona Council completes the remodeling of the promenade, which is included in the coastal footpath project Estepona Council has announced that the integral remodeling works to the promenade have been completed covering a total area of 19,645 square meters. The Councillor for Development, Infrastructure and Tourism (FIT), Ana Velasco, explained that the transformation of this space has meant, in addition to an aesthetic improvement, its integration into the coastal footpath project, which aims to connect the entire coast through pedestrian footpaths for the enjoyment of the public.
The Councillor explained that now the central section of the promenade, which runs from the roundabout with Avenida Andalucía to the Avenida Juan Carlos I roundabout, is more accessible and facilitates access to the coastal footpath sections that are have been completed or are in the development phase. Regarding the works carried out on the promenade, Velasco reported that they have consisted of the renovation of the entire pavement and its facilities. In addition, new street furniture has been installed
(benches, pergolas, fountains and wastebaskets) and the old lamps have been replaced by more environmentally friendly LED lights, which will mean significant energy and economic savings. The complete renovation of the García Caparrós square has also been carried out. This remodeling has had an investment of 1,731,554 million euros, eighty percent of which has been subsidized with European Regional Development Funds (ERDF), through the municipal project ‘Sustainable and Integrated Urban Development Strategy (EDUSI) Estepona, Jardín de la Costa del Sol’. The remaining 20 percent has been paid for out of Council coffers. The objective of this project has been to completely remodel the Estepona promenade to give uniformity to all this space with the use of modern, efficient and sustainable materials and elements; as well as the rearrangement of spaces to promote pedestrian use of this part of the town, as has been done in the town centre with the remodeling of more than 17 kilometres of urban roads. In the sections where width has allowed it (from the Iberia building to Avenida Juan Carlos I), large shaded areas have been created. Likewise, the section from the Post Office to the El Pescador restaurant has been improved by lowering the planters to ground level, achieving an open view to the sea. In the coming days, the Council will carry out work on the gardens and planting along the promenade, with the aim of continuing to promote it as a public space.

El nuevo Sistema de Información Geográfica permite
también detallar características como la ubicación exacta de cada uno de los 12.221 elementos de luz que conforman a día de hoy el alumbrado público y ornamental de Estepona, el tipo de luminaria, su tecnología, potencia, fecha de montaje o estado de conservación. Este inventariado tan exhaustivo del alumbrado público permite tener un mejor control del mismo para su mantenimiento y conservación.

El alcalde de Estepona recibe a la junta directiva de REM La Asociación REM (Red de Emprendedoras y Empresarias de Marbella-Costa del Sol-Campo de Gibraltar) continúa dando importantes pasos en su objetivo de ayudar al colectivo de mujeres que en estas complicadas fechas siguen apostando por sacar sus negocios adelante. Por ello, la nueva junta directiva que fue elegida por unanimidad en noviembre del año pasado está estableciendo una serie de acuerdos con organismos y otras asociaciones porque creen en la sinergia y también se está presentando oficialmente a los ayuntamientos de la zona. Tras Marbella, fechas atrás le tocó el turno a Estepona. El alcalde de Estepona, José María García Urbano, recibió en su despacho a una representación de la junta directiva de REM. La presidenta, Isabel Carrasco, explicó al regidor es-
teponero los objetivos de la asociación, centrados en ayudar al colectivo femenino que comienza su actividad profesional o ya está asentada, a través de talleres, jornadas, sinergia, información, gestiones con los ayuntamientos, etc. REM está incluida en BPW, una asociación internacional en 130 países que abre muchas oportunidades para sus socias. REM redobla su apoyo a Estepona-Casares y Manilva con la continuidad de la delegación en esta comarca que ahora llevará Emma de Acedo, vocal miembro de la junta directiva en tareas de comunicación. La Asociación se abre a todas las emprendedoras y empresarias de la zona para que puedan participar en la misma. “Seguimos empeñadas y con más ganas y fuerzas para ayudar a todas las que no saben a dónde diri-
girse o la necesidad de un buen consejo, aparte de los conductos reglamentarios a través de las subvenciones que establecen los organismos oficiales”, indicó Isabel Carrasco. En estos momentos son 105 las socias las que pertenecen a REM en estas zonas. Como la junta directiva afirma “vemos mucha ilusión entre las mujeres porque hay futuro pese a la pandemia sanitaria. Hay que insistir y luchar cada vez mas pero es posible salir adelante”. Esta Asociación se creó en el año 2009 y en este tiempo
se han ido cerrando acuerdos y convenios con otras Asociaciones. En el caso de Estepona, su delegada (una servidora) tiene una meta “ver para creer y es que ell movimiento se demuestra andando y con reuniones, cumpliendo todas las normas y utilizando las nuevas técnicas saldremos adelante. Estamos comprometidas con ayudar a todas las que lo necesiten en todos los sentidos. Inscribirse como socia es posible tanto para autónomas, emprendedoras y empresarias. Todas son
bien recibidas en la asociación”. Por lo pronto, el 28 de mayo está previsto en el Estepona Hotel Spa Resort un Networking con una ponencia muy interesante, abierta a todas las que lo deseen y que será la presentación formal de las actividades en esta zona a cargo de REM. Precisamente este flamante hotel, de los pocos que no han cerrado en la Costa del Sol, ha firmado un acuerdo con REM para convertirse en la sede oficial de la asociación, celebrándose reuniones, aplicándose descuentos, etc.

The Association is open to all entrepreneurs and businesswomen in the area to participate in it. Currently there are 105 members who belong to REM in these areas. As the Committee states, “we
see a lot of hope among women because there is a future despite the health pandemic. You have to demand and fight more and more but it is possible to get ahead”. REM was created in 2009 and in this time agreements and conventions have been signed with other Associations. In the case of Estepona, its delegate has a goal “that is to see is through meetings, complying with all the rules and using the new techniques we will succeed. We are committed to helping all who need it inany way. Registering as a member is open to the self-employed, entrepreneurs and businesswomen, who are all welcome to the association”. For now, on May 28, a Networking Event is scheduled at the Estepona Hotel Spa Resort with a very interesting presentation, open to all who wish, and which will see the formal presentation of the activities in this area by REM. brand new hotel, one of the few that has not closed on the Costa del Sol, has signed an agreement with
REM to become the official headquarters of the association, holding meetings, applying discounts, etc.

Manilva Solicitors Cambio de residencia fiscal en España - Tengan cuidado Se ha hablado mucho últimamente sobre los “Youtubers” que han cambiado su residencia por motivos fiscales ya que algunos de los más famosos y ricos han decidido mudarse de España a Andorra para pagar menos impuestos. Es importante aclarar que no es suficiente con irse a vivir a otro país para cambiar de residencia fiscal. Existen otros requisitos que deben cumplirse para evitar multas desagradables de la Agencia Tributaria Española.
¿Cómo hacer entonces el cambio?
Una persona que ha residido en España y ha estado declarando y pagando sus Impuestos anuales aquí (IRPF) y quiere dejar de hacerlo (porque ha empezado a vivir en otro país), debe comunicar el cambio a Hacienda a través del modelo 030. Una vez que se haya enviado, se le pedirán, casi con toda seguridad, pruebas de que reside en ese
otro estado. Es por esto que la persona interesada debe aportar un Certificado de Residencia Fiscal emitido por las autoridades del país donde reside actualmente. Tengan en cuenta que para obtener ese certificado, generalmente es necesario probar que la persona vive en el país durante la mayor parte del año, es decir, 183 días. Por todo esto, es necesario obtener un Certificado de Residencia Fiscal emitido por el nuevo país de residencia cuanto antes. Sin embargo, el requisito anterior puede no ser suficiente para que Hacienda considere que ha habido un cambio real de residencia (en cuyo caso la persona afectada debería continuar pagando sus Impuestos en España por todos sus ingresos). Es importante saber que esto podría suceder en las siguientes situaciones: 1.
Cuando la mayoría de los intereses económicos de
una persona (la mayor parte de sus ingresos o inversiones) siguen estando en España. 2. Cuando los hijos del interesado y/o su pareja siguen viviendo en España, a no ser que se demuestre lo contrario. Estos requisitos pueden crear conflicto con la residencia fiscal actual de una persona. Cuando estas reglas confluyen, podría ocurrir que si los estándares españoles se aplicaran a la vez que los del país de destino, una persona podría acabar siendo residente fiscal en ambos territorios (por ejemplo, si ha vivido más de la mitad del año fuera pero sus intereses principales siguen estando en España). Esto solo se puede evitar si existe un acuerdo con ese país para evitar la doble tributación, cuando el convenio establezca de dónde se debe considerar residente al contribuyente (este punto suele aparecer en el punto 4 de
estos convenios). Existen criterios generales de prioridad para solucionar estas situaciones y establecer dónde se encuentra la residencia fiscal real (y, por lo tanto, en qué país se deben pagar los impuestos). Los acuerdos entre países suelen incluir estos criterios, que se aplican sucesivamente y en este orden: • Residencia permanente. Primero, una persona es considerada residente del lugar donde posee una residencia permanente a su disposición. • Relaciones. Si el contribuyente posee una residencia permanente en ambos territorios, el lugar donde tenga intereses personales (donde viva su familia) y económicos (más riqueza). • Residencia habitual. Si la residencia no puede determinarse usando los criterios anteriores, deberá considerarse que el interesado es residente fiscal del país donde normalmente resida. • Nacionalidad. Finalmente, la
residencia puede determinarse según el país del cual tiene la nacionalidad. Relaciones personales y económicas. En relación con este criterio, se da importancia a las relaciones familiares y sociales, ocupaciones, actividades políticas, culturales, o de otro tipo, la ubicación de las actividades profesionales y económicas, la sede desde la que se administra el patrimonio, etc. CONCLUSIÓN: No es suficiente con residir más de 183 días en el extranjero para dejar de ser considerado residente fiscal en España. Si sus intereses personales y económicos siguen estando en España, su estatus no cambiará. Si usted va a mudarse a España, o va a cambiar su residencia a algún sitio fuera de España, es importante que busque la ayuda de un asesor fiscal profesional para evitar problemas. Su residencia fiscal oficial debe quedar clara desde el principio.
Change of tax residence in Spain – Be careful There has been a lot of talk lately about of “Youtubers” changing their residence for tax reasons. The most famous and wealthy Youtubers have decided to move from Spain to Andorra to pay less income tax. It is important to clarify that it is not enough just to start living in another country in order to change your tax residence. There are some other requirements that need to be met to avoid unpleasant fines from the Spanish tax office.
How do you make the change? A person who has resided in Spain and been declaring and paying their tax annually, (IRPF), who want to stop doing so (because they have started residing in another country), must communicate the change in their circumstances to the Treasury using the 030 model. Once this has been submitted, the Inland Revenue will almost certainly request proof of residence in another State. Therefore, the person
concerned must provide a Tax Residence Certificate issued by the authorities of that territory in which they reside. Please be aware that to obtain this certificate, in general, it is necessary to prove that the individual resides in that country for most of the year, that is, more than 183 days. It is essential to get a Tax Residence Certificate issued by the country of new residence ASAP. However, the above requirement may not be sufficient for the Inland Revenue to consider that there has been a change of actual residence (in which case the affected person must continue to pay in the IRPF for all his worldly income). It is important to be aware that this could occur in the following situations: 1.

When the main core of an individual’s economic interests (i.e., greater part of any income and/ or investments), remain in Spain. When the individual’s children and / or spouse continue to live in Spain,
unless otherwise proven. These requirements can create conflict over the actual tax residence of an individual. When these rules converge, it could occur that if the Spanish standards are applied together with those of the country of destination, a person ends up being resident in both territories (i.e. If he has resided more than half the year abroad, but his core interests remain in Spain). This can only be avoided if there is an agreement with that country to avoid double taxation, when the Convention would establish where the taxpayer should be considered resident (usually this appears in Article 4 of these Conventions). There are general priority criteria to sort out these situations and to establish where the actual tax residence is (and therefore in which country it is taxed). The agreements between countries usually lay down the following criteria, which are applied successively and in the following order: • Permanent residence. First, a person is considered a res-
ident where they have a permanent residence at their disposal. • Relationships. If the taxpayer has permanent housing in both territories, where he has closer personal (where his family resides) and economic (greater wealth). • Habitual residence. If residence cannot be determined based on the above criteria, it shall be understood to be located where the taxpayer habitually resides. • Nationality. Finally, the residence shall be determined by the country of which it is a national. Personal and economic relations. In relation to this criterion, consideration is given to family and social relations, occupations, political, cultural, or other activities, the location
of business or professional activities, the headquarters of wealth management, etc. CONCLUSION: It is not enough for a person to reside abroad more than 183 days a year in another country to avoid being considered a tax residence in Spain. If their personal and economic interests remain in Spain, they will not lose their status as a taxpayer in Spain. El Ayuntamiento comienza la obra del tramo de corredor litoral en Guadalmansa, que unirá 11 km ininterrumpidos desde el centro urbano
El Ayuntamiento de Estepona informa de que han dado comienzo las obras para la construcción de un nuevo tramo de corredor litoral en la zona de Guadalmansa, entre el hotel IKOS y la urbanización Park Beach, lo que permitirá el paseo ininterrumpido de unos 11 kilómetros, desde el centro urbano de la ciudad.
La teniente alcalde del área de Fomento, Infraestructuras y Turismo (FIT), Ana Velasco, ha indicado que los trabajos están siendo ejecutados por la UTE Rialsa Obras S.L-Drainsal S.L.U. y contemplan la construcción de una senda litoral de hormigón impreso de 625 metros de longitud y 4 metros de ancho. Las obras, que tienen un
plazo de ejecución de 6 meses, incluyen también la construcción de una pasarela de madera junto a la desembocadura del río Guadalmansa, donde se ha proyectado un puente de madera de 62,5 metros de longitud. Además, en la zona que linda con el río está previsto la plantación de especies vegetales mediterráneas, con juncos, adelfas, álamos, sauces y tarajes, en un superficie aproximada de 3,7 kilómetros, a ambos márgenes del cauce. El proyecto, que está cofinanciado por el Ayuntamiento de Estepona y la Diputación Provincial de Málaga, cuenta con un presupuesto de 919.103 euros. Por otra parte, la empresa ha aportado el 0,7% del precio del contrato a fines sociales, como consecuencia de que el Consistorio establece como criterio prioritario para la adjudicación de todas las licitaciones públicas que las empresas aporten ese porcentaje para atender las necesidades sociales de la ciudad. Hasta la fecha, el proyecto de corredor litoral está ejecutado en casi un 90%, con 19 kilómetros de costa unida por caminos peatonales.

To date, the coastal footpath project is almost 90% completed, with 19 kilometres of coastline linked by pedestrian paths.

José María García Urbano, alcalde de Estepona, ha firmado con la Asociación por los Derechos de los Animales Abandonados (ADANA) la cesión por un plazo de 75 años de los terrenos municipales donde se ubican sus instalacio-
nes. La cesión de estos suelos, que se encuentran en la zona de Las Cabrerizas y tienen una superficie de más de 11.000 m2 posibilita que ADANA pueda ahora acometer mejoras en sus instalaciones.
Esto puede propiciar, además, que este colectivo sea reconocido como Protectora de Animales por parte de la Junta de Andalucía, lo que le supondrá optar a subvenciones y ayudas de las distintas administraciones públicas.

The transfer of these lands, which are located in the Las Cabrerizas area and have a surface area of more than 11,000 square metres, enables ADANA to now undertake improvements to its facilities and to its operations.
This can also lead to this group being recognized as an Animal Protector by the Junta de Andalucía, which will mean that they will be eligible for subsidies and aid from the various public administrations.

La Comunidad en bancarrota, ¿qué pasa si nos endeudamos demasiado? Cómo evitar que esto suceda Las cuentas comunitarias tienden a cubrir un periodo de 12 meses, pero esto puede variar según los estatutos u acuerdo en Junta. La ley no define especificamente la duración del ejercicio, ni cuándo debe comenzar o finalizar. La comunidad debe cumplir con determinadas declaraciones fiscales que cubren el año natural, es decir, de enero a diciembre, por lo que es muy recomendable que las comunidades ajusten su ejercicio financiero a este periodo, ya que no sabemos qué declaraciones fiscales serán obliga-
torias en el futuro. Independientemente de la situación financiera, ni Gobierno ni hacienda intervendrán en una comunidad debido a una situación de bancarrota, y las auditorias no son obligatorias, al menos que se especifique en los estatutos. Entonces, ¿qué pasa si la comunidad está en bancarrota y no puede pagar sus deudas? Una comunidad está formada por todos los propietarios, independientemente del tipo de propiedad, y todos responden ante las deudas de la comunidad si la comunidad no puede
pagar. Por lo tanto, la situación financiera general es muy importante y una de las razones por las que se necesitan pagar las deudas siempre, incluyendo los bancos. Si la comunidad tiene un préstamo bancario, los garantes de ese préstamo bancario serán todos los propietarios, y si la comunidad no paga, entonces el banco puede ir en contra de cada propietario, por la parte correspondiente de la deuda. Esta sería la última opción, ya que antes habrían embargado las cuentas bancarias y habría aplicado ese dine-
ro a la deuda contraída, lo mismo sucedería si tuviera una minuta de abogado pendiente, costas procesales, o cualquier otra deuda. Esto es algo que cada propietario debe tener en cuenta al pensar ‘lo paga la comunidad’, porque la comunidad son todos los propietarios. Básicamente, lo que se debe examinar no es solo el balance al final del año, las desviaciones en cada una de las partidas detalladas en este presupuesto, sino la posición final. Si todas sus facturas se pagan y la comunidad tie-
ne dinero en el banco (olvidarse de los deudores ya que no ayudarán a corto plazo). Si estáis en esta situación, las únicas opciones son reducir los servicios o aumentar las cuotas. Hay que buscar el equilibrio. Sí, el Presidente es responsable de supervisar la situación, pero legalmente no necesita ser contable, por lo que necesita ser asesorado apropiadamente para que la situación no empeore. Los morosos empeoran la situación, hemos escuchado muchas veces que ‘pa garemos las deudas

cuando los morosos paguen’ o ‘pintaremos la urbanización cuando los morosos paguen’, pero eso es postponer la realidad, sabemos que pagaran, pero no se puede contar con esos fondos para resolver los problemas de hoy. Es importante que esto se tenga en cuenta, especialmente este año, ya que los ingresos de muchas comunidades están disminuyendo, ya que hay propietarios que no pueden pagar sus cuotas debido a la situación actual. Esto se deber revisar ahora, no esperar
a que estemos en números rojos, que la única solución no sea que los que pagan las cuotas acaben pagando más aún, no podemos contar con el dinero de los deudores. Aun podéis revisar los costes, aseguraros de que los empleados hagan su trabajo, de que uséis proveedores locales y de confianza, que se preocupen por la comunidad, porque al final del día, tener gente a la que les importe, es la mejor situación posible para toda comunidad. No es una buena manera
de terminar el año, pero la previsión lo es todo, las cuentas provisionales estarán disponibles después de las vacaciones, y recuerda que siempre hay que mirar la posición global y luego desglosarlo, la comunidad pertenece a todos los propietarios, y también lo hacen las deudas. El nuevo año está aquí, nadie dijo que será fácil, pero estamos aquí para vivirlo, amarlo, y disfrutarlo. ¡Nuestros mejores deseos para el 2021!

Community Bankruptcy, what happens if we are in over our head? How to stop this happening Community accounts tend to run on a 12 month basis, but this can vary if agreed at a meeting or in the statutes. The law does not specify the financial term, the length or when it should start or end. The community does, however, need to comply with certain tax declarations that run according to the Spanish financial year, from January to December, so it is highly recommended that communities adjust their financial term to this period, as we do not know what tax declarations will be compulsory in the future. Regardless of the financial situation, the Government or the tax office will not intervene in a community due to bankruptcy, and an audit is not compulsory, unless specified in the
statutes. So what happens if the community is bankrupt and cannot pay its bills? A community is formed by all owners of properties, regardless of their property type, and they respond to any community debt if the community does not have the money to pay. Therefore the overall financial picture is very important and one of the reasons why you need to keep everyone paid up, including banks. If the community takes out a bank loan, the guarantors for that bank loan will be each owner, and if the community fails to pay, then the bank can go against and owner for their share of the debt. This would however be the last case scenario, as prior to this, the court would have issued an embargo on the
community bank account and would have seized all funds available, the same would happen if you had a big legal bill or any other debts. This is something each owner needs to keep in mind when thinking ‘the community will pay for it’, because all owners are the community. Basically, what you need to look into isn’t just the balance sheet at the end of the year, the deviations on each of the items detailed in this budget, but the final position. If all your bills are paid and you have money in the bank (forget about the debtors as they will not help in the short run). If you are in over your head, the only option is to cut services or increase fees. You need to balance things out. Yes, the President is responsible for su-
pervising the situation, but he does not legally need to be an accountant, so he needs to be advised appropriately so that the situation doesn’t get worse. The situation with debtors make things worst, we have heard many a time that ‘we will pay the bills when the debtors pay’ or ‘we will paint the urbanization when the debtors pay’, but that’s pie in the sky, as they will eventually pay, but you can’t count on those funds for your financial status. It’s important for this to be taken into account, especially this year, as community income is dropping as owners can’t pay their fees due to the current situation. Look into this now, do not wait until you are in the red, as when fees go up, they go up for the good
payers, we can’t wait on the money from debtors. And look into your costs, make sure your employees do the work they are being paid for, make sure you have local, trustworthy providers who care, because at the end of the day having people in charge who care, is the best-case scenario for every community. Not a nice way to end the year, but prevision is everything, partial accounts will be available after the holidays, and remember, always look at the big picture and then break it down, the community belongs to all owners, and so do the debts. El horizonte es pulso, porque allí siempre hay vida, sorpresas en los reflejos de la niebla. Y los hombres allí, lamentan la inmutabilidad; por eso, las figuras humanas, labradas por el Creador, en una dinámica, se sumergen en el confín, y libremente quieren sonreír con los que saben vivir más allá de la vida. ¿Y quiénes viven más allá de la vida?... Ellos, huyen ahora de lo oscuro; quieren sentir alegría. Algunos tienen el pelo negro, desangrados los cabellos por las corrientes sombrías de tantos días tristes. (Y es que no les acompañó la suerte...) –Podemos hacerlo –dijo uno–. Mira que yo, como vosotros he tocado el mundo. He palpado la luz de tantos días... Debemos estar gozosos. El recuerdo no es una alegoría, pero resalta nuestro presente. Recordar sin penas. Mantengo la cabeza sobre la noche. Sí, los delfines me hirieron con vanas profecías. Mandé mis sueños a las esferas, pero no porque la tierra y sus corales me demostraban la bella trampa del mundo. Piedra sobre piedra, conocimiento sobre conocimiento, la primavera hacía nacer desde raíces nuevas, flores viajaron al museo del mar y del amor. Solicitaba a unos labios –me encargaba de ellos–, cada pétalo me incorporaba su sangre, era el destino. Las mareas de las noches son fecundas a pesar de sus dolores. Ahora les tocaba otra etapa), haciéndoles vivir confusos entre sombras solo superadas por el delta de la esperanza, chorreándoles por el rostro talante de ilusión. (Porque el ánimo es importante para obtener iluminación). –¡Podemos! ¡Podemos! Lo lograremos. El buen José, concluyó al fin: –Busquemos la noche de los ríos para sumergirnos en sus aguas y reír con peces de sangre fría; e iremos con ellos hasta los mares, provistos de un broquel de metal blanco. La noche, sonreirá al compás de la navegación, y después, alegres, sujetaremos la nueva vida de esos caballitos de mar no impasibles al amor. –A pesar de lo ripioso y lo infantil que puede parecer esto quiero experimentarlo – expresó uno que había estado callado hasta ahora. espués de meditarlo durante unos minutos, Diego cambió de opinión: prefería no tener ningún enfrentamiento con las fuerzas del orden; nunca había matado a nadie y nunca lo haría; menos aún, a padres de familia que se ganaban la vida con un trabajo. Mirando a sus compañeros les dijo. A ver qué os parece, he decidido levantar el campamento y dirigirnos a la finca de don Damián, sus sementales no tienen la clase de los de ésta finca, pero es una temeridad enzarzarnos a tiros por unos caballos, alguno de nosotros puede resultar herido, así que si os parece bien, recogemos los achiperres y nos largamos sin hacer ruido. Aún tenemos tiempo de llegar con hora de cenar; los guardas no son mala gente y estoy seguro que nos atenderán bien. ¿Qué os parece? Los bandoleros se miraron entre si con gesto de alivio, todos si excepción
habían pensado en lo del tiroteo y no querían morir, no porque fueran cobardes: pero una bala perdida, se la puede encontrar el que menos se lo espera terminando sus días de bandolero en un suspiro; pues un fugitivo herido en la serranía, estaba condenado a morir, pues llegaría un momento en el que sus compañeros lo tendrían que abandonar para salvar el pellejo si eran perseguidos. Estamos de acuerdo con tu decisión, los caballos de esta finca no se los van a llevar a ningún sitio, ya habrá otra ocasión. Dijo el Jabalí en nombre de todos. Pues retrocedamos por la cañada, poned los trapos a los cascos de los caballos, tenemos que intentar que no se enteren de nuestra maniobra. Cuando estemos lejos, se los quitamos y nos acercamos a buen paso hasta la finca de don Damián. Estoy pensando en la cena que nos espera.
Durante media hora, los bandoleros condujeron a los caballos agarrados de los belfos para que no relincharan, alguno de ellos intentó rebelarse contra aquella medida, pero la mano firme de Jabalí, le impidió que consiguiera sus propósitos de escapar al tumbarlo en el suelo y demostrarle quién mandaba. Lo mismo ocurrió con el caballo del niño de Utrera; un joven de unos veinte años, de estatura media que no aparentaba más de quince. Dos horas llevaban caminando por el camino principal que conducía al cortijo de la finca, cuando tres luces del tamaño de la luna llena, se cruzaron ante ellos volando a poca altura e iluminando el entorno como si fuera de día; los caballos comenzaron a piafar y retroceder con el terror reflejado en sus grandes ojos: los mastines y demás perros de fincas y majadas, comenzaron a ladrar desaforadamente, pero
las luces continuaron su rumbo mientras los bandoleros se persignaban con temor ante lo desconocido. Cuando las luces desaparecieron en la lejanía y la oscuridad volvió, los miembros de la partida se miraron entre sí con el espanto reflejado en su rostro. El niño de Utrera, preguntó qué podía ser aquello y Jabalí, adelantándose al resto, dijo que eran cosas del cielo, que no sabría decir si era un aviso de buena o mala suerte, pero estaba seguro de ser una advertencia, bien para ellos, o quizás para otros que hubiera a la intemperie en aquellos momentos. Nadie dijo nada, todos continuaron caminando en silencio hacia el cortijo que no dictaba de ellos, mucho más de unos quinientos metros. Como era de suponer, los guardeses de la finca, y seguramente la mayor parte del personal que trabajaba en la misma; ya pastores o porqueros, habían salido de
sus chozos ante la algarabía de los perros presenciando con asombro el fenómeno de las luces. El guarda, junto con su mujer y los hijos, dos varones y una hembra que iban desde los catorce años hasta los siete, aún se encontraban en la puerta del cortijo cuando la partida de bandoleros se hizo visible. La guardesa, al ver al grupo empujó a sus hijos hacia adentro y esperó junto a su marido a los visitantes con cierto recelo. Diego, consciente del malestar que causaba ver a un grupo de hombres a aquellas horas, carraspeó antes de darse a conocer nombrando al guarda por su nombre y nombrándose él. ¿Qué tal, Genaro, soy Diego Corriente. Se nos ha hecho tarde y hemos pensado en acercarnos a cenar, llevamos todo el día por la sierra con un pedazo de tocino y un mendrugo de pan; así que prepáranos algo bueno.

ow has your view been recently? Thankfully our view from the village has been much better recently. The storms of midApril have given way to sunshine and fresh air. Our night time views reached a highlight with the Super Pink, super moon, visible at the end of April. We watched the moon rise over Estepona and hover above Manilva and Sabinillas. By morning it had swung around to provide a beautiful backdrop to the village. If you are a fan of moon gazing, look skyward on May 26 when the Flower super moon should be visible from early evening. Gossip over morning coffee in the Plaza de Espana recently definitely has a green feeling to it. There are plans afoot to install solar energy farms in the area and the Mayors of Gaucin, Jimena, Tesorillo and Casares have agreed to join up and make sure local voices are heard.
The general view seemed to be positive, but I hadn’t realised just how much some people dislike the windmills on the road to Manilva. I like them, but now know that some locals think they are an eyesore. I have never known the view without them, so I think it is best to leave that one there. Continuing the green theme, did you know that there is a Casares Underwater Association? Well, this was news to me too until Nicolas told me about it. A team of divers and paddleboard users did their second coastal cleanup recently and have plans to work along the coast to San Roque. The view at our home has a distinctive puppy feel to it just now. Yes, we now have a puppy called Cassie. Cassie is a French Bulldog girl and like quite a few lockdown puppies she goes everywhere with us. We are trying hard to train her in the basic commands, but
she is a Bulldog and even with bribes of treats and lots of encouragement, she is struggling to learn anything other than playtime and mealtime. If you see Cassie out with us, please do stop and say hello, she would love that. You will know its Cassie simply because she takes us for a walk, not the other way
Una vista desde el Pueblo A fortunadamente, los últimos días en el pueblo ha sido mucho mejor que en fechas anteriores. Las tormentas de mediados de abril han dado paso a la luz del sol y al aire fresco. Nuestras vistas nocturnas alcanzaron un punto culminante con la Súper Rosa, la súper luna, visible a finales del pasado mes. Vimos salir la luna sobre Estepona y sobrevolar Manilva y Sabinillas. Por la mañana se había girado para proporcionar un hermoso telón de fondo para Casares. Si eres fanático de la luna, mira hacia el cielo el 26 de mayo cuando la súper luna de la flor debería de ser visible
desde las primeras horas de la noche. Los comentarios en el café de la mañana, en la Plaza de España definitivamente tienen un sentimiento verde. Hay planes en marcha para instalar parques de energía solar en la zona y los alcaldes de Gaucín, Jimena, Tesorillo y Casares han acordado unirse y asegurarse de que se escuchen las voces de los vecinos. La sensación general parecía positiva, pero no me había dado cuenta de lo mucho que a algunas personas les disgustan los molinos de viento en la carretera a Manilva. Me gustan, pero ahora sé que algunos lugareños piensan
que son una monstruosidad. Nunca he conocido estos paisajes sin ellos, así que creo que es mejor dejarlo. Continuando con el tema verde, ¿sabías que existe una Asociación Subacuática de Casares? Bueno, esto también fue una novedad para mí hasta que Nicolás me lo contó. Un equipo de buzos y usuarios de tablas de Padle hizo recientemente su segunda limpieza costera y tienen planes de trabajar a lo largo de la costa hasta San Roque. Nuestra casa tiene ahora una vida y alegría nueva en este momento. Sí, ahora tenemos un cachorro llamado Cassie. Cassie es

and liquid) so I thought I would give it a go. I love bougainvillea and trying to grow some on the terrace. Of course I have a couple of yukka trees and a flowering something which nobody can identify! I will let you know how I get on. Hope that you can enjoy your view this month, whatever it looks like.

Estamos haciendo un gran esfuerzo para enseñarla en las cuestiones básicas, pero ella es un Bulldog e incluso con sobornos de golosinas y mucha paciencia, está luchando por aprender algo más que la hora de jugar y la hora de comer. Si ves a Cassie con nosotros, por favor detente y saluda, a ella le encantaría. Sabrás que es Cassie simplemente porque nos lleva a dar un paseo, no al revés y terminamos al final de su camino pidiéndole que disminuya la velocidad. Finalmente, estoy tratando
de cambiar la vista desde nuestras ventanas y en nuestra terraza probando mi habilidad en la jardinería. Este es un cambio en la cocina obligado y provocado por un completo desastre con las hamburguesas caseras (demasiadas especias y líquido), así que pensé en intentarlo. Me encantan las buganvillas y tratar de cultivarlas en la terraza. ¡Por supuesto que tengo un par de árboles Yukka y algo en flor que nadie puede identificar! Te haré saber cómo me va. Espero que podamos disfrutar de su vista este mes, sea lo que sea.

Saint George Charity Shops
The St George Charity operates three charity shops, two in Sabinillas, Manilva and one in La Cancelada, Estepona. In Sabinillas one of the shops sells quality second hand clothing, shoes, hats and accessories; while the other sells a wide range of secondhand furniture, decorative items, household goods, books, cds, dvds, etc. Our shop in La Cancelada sells the same full range of secondhand items as our Sabinillas shops and also stocks larger items of
furniture and beds. Thanks to our generous donors there are new items in the shops daily, so visit regularly so as not to miss out on that bargain. The shop management welcomes donations of quality secondhand items and can arrange collection of larger items that cannot be brought in a car, or where appropriate. Please bring your donations between the hours of 10.30 am and 1 pm, avoiding rainy days when our patio items have to be stored inside and therefore limit space.

¿Qué vuelve locos a nuestros gatos y perros? A los gatos les desequilibran las novedades y a los perros el aislamiento o la sobreprotección Ronald Rosenfeld D.V.M. Perros y gatos comparten el motivo más habitual de sus quebraderos de cabeza: el estrés. La diferencia entre unos y otros son las causas que lo provocan. En el caso de los gatos, los cambios en su territorio (hogar), como una modificación del mobiliario, que se puede traducir en conductas como: “un exceso de lamido, que puede llegar a provocar heridas, usar el rascador más de lo normal o en lugares no habituales y la aparición de calvas o eccemas”, comenta Sandra Nieto, veterinaria y supervisora de centros veterinarios Sanitos de Kiwoko. Los desajustes en la conducta de un gato estresado también pueden afectar al uso inadecuado que hace de su arenero. “Orinar o defecar fuera de su bandeja, aunque la arena esté limpia y alejada de la comida, es una forma de llamar la atención y de expresarse”, añade la veterinaria. En el caso de los gatos, la procesión va por dentro. “Son animales que se estresan con mucha facilidad, aunque pensemos que llevan una vida tranquila y sin sobresaltos, porque les vemos dormitando en el sofá”, explica Nieto. Y es que los gatos tienden a
disimular sus debilidades, entre ellas cuando están alterados o nerviosos, por ello es más complicado detectar sus problemas psicológicos y acuden menos al veterinario. Asimismo, los celos son otras de las causas habituales de alteraciones de comportamiento felino, que se puede manifestar en agresiones a uno o varios miembros de la familia. Pero, ¿y los perros? ¿Qué les desequilibra? Se trata de animales sociales y gregarios, que necesitan la compañía de su grupo para tener una mente sana. Las causas que les provocan problemas psicológicos son: vivencias traumáticas (abandono o malos tratos), así como humanizarles, sobreprotegerles o aislarles, lo que puede provocarles alteraciones de comportamiento como: agresividad, ladridos compulsivos, automutilación, nerviosismo y movimientos repetitivos, como perseguirse la cola o girar sobre sí mismos. Tratamientos y soluciones “El tratamiento de la conducta compulsiva del perro o del gato pasa por detectar la causa que la desen-
cadena, intentar disminuir el estrés, evitar castigos por parte de los dueños, fomentar la actividad física y, en algunos casos, el tratamiento farmacológico que prescribirá el veterinario, en caso de que lo considere necesario”, recomienda la veterinaria Ana Cameno. Contra el estrés felino existen soluciones específicas como: Aromas que tranquilizan al gato. El uso de feromonas olfativas sintéticas en spray o
difusor, que rebajan su nivel de estrés. Paciencia frente a los celos felinos. Si el problema son los celos, solamente hay que tener paciencia, porque suelen ser comportamientos transitorios y desaparecen al cabo de un tiempo. Otro compañero gatuno para evitar el aburrimiento. Si los dueños se lo pueden permitir y están dispuestos a asumir el período de adaptación cuando otro gato llega a casa, es una solución apropiada para
que el felino se sienta acompañado y por lo tanto para prevenir conductas desajustadas que afecten a la convivencia con el animal en casa. Los mejores detectores de los problemas psicológicos de perros y gatos son sus dueños. Por ello, conviene valorar en su justa medida los cambios de comportamiento y acudir al veterinario para tomar medidas que resuelvan los problemas psicológicos que merman su calidad de vida y felicidad.

Smoothies: frutas o verduras a la batidora
Una quiere tener a sus lectores y seguidores a la última moda. Metidos en primavera y camino del buen tiempo nos gustan los productos frescos cada vez más. Por ello, navegando por el mundo de las redes sociales he encontrado esta información más que interesante y que comparto con todos, añadiendo además, una de mis recetas. Los batidos forman parte de la dieta Raw Food y de hecho se trata de un complemento ideal para los desayunos, meriendas y tentempiés. Los podemos preparar a base de jugo de frutas, con leches vegetales, agua e incluso hortalizas. Los más avanzados y chics incluyen semillas y hasta los denominados “súper alimentos”. Muy destinados para los deportistas: los mejores son los que incluyen potasio (plátano y naranja) para evitar los calambres musculares y una combinación que ahora está mucho de moda es la bebida vegetal de avena. Junto con plátano, fresas, nueces, canela, miel y cacao para así rebajar la mezcla con agua y que no se quede demasiado espeso. Entre los batidos antioxidantes y desintoxicantes están los que se elaboran con una base de verdura (generalmente se añade espinaca) unida a alguna bebida o agua vegetal (como el agua de coco). También se puede añadir un poco de té matcha infusionado y, por supuesto, todas las frutas y verduras verdes (manzana, apio, pepino, limón o lima).
Por supuesto no nos podemos olvidar de los jugos súper energéticos. Hechos a base de frutas como moras, fresas, arándanos, mango, plátano y naranja. Ademas se les puede incorporar linaza y semillas de chía. Pero, si apuestas por incorporar un poco de yogur, siempre es conveniente no incluir frutas como el mango, la naranja y cítricos que no hacen verdaderamente muy buena combinación. En este caso, apuesta por la piña, el melocotón o la manzana. Para terminar un perfecto batido para combatir los problemas digestivos de estreñimiento y colitis son el que está hecho a base de papaya que tiene propiedades antiinflamatorias. Y como dije, aquí os dejo dos recetas propias:
Mi Smoothie time
vaso de la batidora. Exprimir el limón y filtrarlo para que no queden pepitas. Añadir el zumo al vaso de la batidora. Triturar a máxima velocidad durante unos 5 minutos.
Zumo al rojo Elaboración: Lavar bien las zanahorias con la ayuda de un cepillo, eliminar su parte trasera y trocearlas todas. Lavar las manzanas, quitarles el rabito y cortarlas. Pelar las remolachas y cortarla. Licuar, por este orden, las remolachas, las zanahorias y, finalmente, las manzanas. Mezclar el zumo obtenido con el agua bien fría. Espero que os guste, nos vemos en el próximo número.
Elaboración: Pelar y cortar los trozos de fruta. Exprimir las dos naranjas y reserva el zumo. Añadir las frutas que quieras a tu batidora y el zumo de naranja. Si queda demasiado espeso, puedes añadir un poco de agua fría.

My Smoothie Time Preparation: Peel and cut the pieces of fruit. Squeeze the two oranges and reserve the juice.
Add the fruits you want to your blender and the orange juice. If it is too thick, you can add a little cold water.
Detox - the most common Preparation: Wash the spinach well and cut the apples into quarters, removing the core. Open the melon and scoop out about a cup of its seedless pulp. Chop everything into pieces of a similar size and put it in the blender. Squeeze the lemon and filter it so that there are no seeds. Add the juice to the blender. Blend at maximum speed for about 5 minutes.
Red juice Preparation: Scrub the carrots well, remove the tops and chop them all. Wash the apples, remove the core and cut them. Peel the beets and cut them. Blend, in this order, the beets, carrots and, finally, the apples. Mix the juice obtained with the cold water. I hope you like it, see you in the next issue.

I found this report on Sky news about how exercise can really reduce your risk of dying from covid, an interesting read.

Regular exercise reduces the chances of dying from infectious diseases such as COVID-19 by more than a third and makes people 31% less likely to catch the virus, a major study has found. The world's first study into the link between exercise and COVID-19 immunity suggested people need to be doing 30 minutes a day, five days a week, or 150 minutes a week of exercise that gets them at least slightly out of breath. El Campus de baloncesto Gigantes de Manilva a buen ritmo El equipo de gobierno local y en este caso el área de Deportes que dirige el edil Manolo Gil continúa trabajando para que Manilva sea todo un referente en materia deportiva. Un año más el Baloncesto y la Formación se unen en un proyecto tan ilusionante como de futuro como es el Campus Gigantes que de la mano de la prestigiosa revista vuelven a repetir Campus en el municipio. Paso a paso, con plena seguridad, se va desarrollando la organización del Campus Gigantes de Baloncesto en Manilva. Será del 12 al 17 de julio, en el Pabellón de Las Viñas. Hasta el momento ya están cubiertas el 70% de las plazas, en lo que va a ser uno de los eventos principales de este año en el municipio. Organizado por la mítica revista de Baloncesto y dirigido por Javier Montañéz, coordinador técnico del Club Manilva BasketBase y por su historial, uno de los mejores técnicos de España en categorías inferiores, así como seleccionador sub15 absoluto masculino de España. Según ha sabido esta re-
dacción se están preparando muchas sorpresas, incluidas dos visitas al Campus de nivel y actividades novedosas para los inscritos con respecto a la anterior edición. La importancia del evento queda reflejada al ver como Manilva es la única ciudad no capital de provincia como sede. Esta iniciativa está dirigida a los nacidos entre los años 2015 y 2003, y durante esos días podrán mejorar la técnica y táctica, tanto individual como de equipo, de la mano de los monitores profesionales, además de participar en concursos, competiciones y muchas sorpresas. Hay que recordar que la pandemia sanitaria ha obligado a la organiza-
ción a establecer un aforo máximo de 90 participantes, con las opciones de media jornada y jornada completa. Los primeros disfrutarán de un total de 29 horas divididas en seis días. Los segundos dispondrán de 38 horas para esos mismos días. Esa diferencia de estancia es la que marca los dos precios de inscripción establecidos, al márgen de descuentos especiales para alumnos que ya han estado en la edición anterior, suscriptores de la revista jugadores del Manilva BasketBase o la presencia de hermanos en esta única experiencia donde se tomarán todas las medidas que determinen para esas fechas las autoridades sanitarias. “Estamos preparando mu-
