Geography at Key Stage 4 Geography is about the present and the future, the world in which we live is constantly changing and is likely to change more in the next 50 years than it has ever done before. Geography explains why, and helps to prepare for those changes.

Course Outline – OCR B Through the study of GCSE Geography students will develop as independent learners and as critical and reflective thinkers with enquiring minds. Students will learn to question and appreciate people’s views of the world, its environments, societies and cultures. Students will also apply their learning to the real world through fieldwork and other out of classroom learning. You will study four themes and complete a Controlled Assessment: • Natural Hazards (Year 10) • Economic Development (Year 10) • Population and Settlement (Year 11) • Rivers (Year 10) and Coasts (Year 11) • Controlled Assessment (Year 10 and 11)

How will I be assessed? We follow the OCR B Course which is designed to give an insight into future challenges through the study of current issues.
