GCSE P.E. – YEAR 10 (OCR exam board) THEORY – 60% OF TOTAL MARK The theoretical side is split into 2 exams that are worth 30% of the overall grade respectively. The content of these exams is shown below: Exam 1 – Applied Anatomy and Physiology & Physical Training • • • • • • • •

PRACTICAL – 40% OF TOTAL MARK The practical side of the subject is examined through a practical exam. Students are to be moderated in 3 activities from the list below. This must include: • • •

1 individual sport 1 team sport 1 from either list

These sports are likely to be made up of the following core sports: football, netball, handball, basketball, badminton, table tennis, cricket, athletics. However, there are other sports that students can be assessed in. Please note that within this 40% there is an analysis of performance piece of coursework included worth 10% of student’s total marks.
