Religious Studies This subject aims to broaden the knowledge of major world faiths, minority world beliefs and none. The department draws upon the local backgrounds and demographics to shape learning. We strive to encompass national and international religious issues to produce thought provoking schemes of learning which not only rigorously assess students, but give them the necessary skills and dispositions to apply their reasoning skills and opinions across the curriculum. We allow students to build their religious, spiritual and cultural knowledge in preparation for life in a multi-cultural society. The subject is an addition to all the other opportunities to meet the spiritual, moral, social and cultural (SMSC) requirements at INA. The subject also meets the requirements of the non-statutory national framework for religious education (England).
