DE CE Antirasism şi antidiscriminare prin SPORT ?

ARGUMENT: 1. Abordarea unui subiect european în care sunt puse în discuţie valorile europene : unitate, toleranţă, respect, egalitate, incluziune socială, etc 2. Abordare croscurriculară prin implicarea mai multor discipline: Limba română, Educaţie Fizică şi Sport, Educaţie Plastică, T.I.C., limba engleză

Project theme:

lupta împotriva discriminării, rasismului şi violenţei este una de actualitate şi de interes atât la nivel naţional cât şi la nivel european prin intermediul sportului.

Proiectul propune activităţi care urmăresc să elimine prejudecăţile şi stereotipurile, să promoveze dialogul, toleranţa, conştiinţa interculturală, solidaritatea şi incluziunea socială prin aducerea împreună a grupurilor ţintă.

SCOP : Această campanie este legată direct de lupta împotriva discriminării, cu accent pe discriminarea din sport şi din fotbal. Activităţile organizate urmăresc implicarea imigranţilor, minorităţilor etnice sau altor grupuri ţintă (religioase, cu dizabilităţi, sex, etc) Uniunea Europeană (UE) combate discriminarea pe motive de sex, rasă sau origine etnică, religie sau convingeri, handicap, vârstă, orientare sexuală, cadru social sau economic.

Discriminarea reprezintă una dintre cauzele pentru care egalitatea de şanse nu este respectată. Se ştie că în România, există grupuri etnice, religioase sau cele cu dizabilităţi, care sunt frecvent excluse din societate.

Grupul Ţintă: În comunitate, în viaţa de zi cu zi ne întâlnim cu prejudecăţi şi stereotipuri de cele mai multe ori neconştientizate iar discriminarea poate influenţa în mod subtil viaţa copiilor şi adolescentilor, transformându-i cu aceeaşi usurinţă atât în victime, căt şi în agresori.

Acest proiect îşi propune ,prin activităţile sale, să-i înveţe pe tineri despre lupta împotriva discriminării, rasismului şi violenţei şi ce putem face pentru integrarea socială a celor discriminaţi.

elev ŢIŢOC Rareş Întotdeauna societatea a avut tendinţa de a ne cataloga în funcţie de lucrurile pe care le deţinem, de talentele pe care le avem, sau de ideile pe care le promovăm. E ceva normal, probabil, dar cred că trebuie să avem şi momente în care să fim trataţi cu toţii la fel, să fim egali, chiar dacă societatea ne dictează altfel. Deşi societatea ne învaţă să categorisim oamenii, eu cred că numai prin sport putem învăţa să nu mai facem asta. Şiam să vin cu câteva exemple, dacă-mi permiteţi..

Why do I love sport?

I love sport because I think it’s a way to make new friends while you’re playing with them and you can integrate in society. You don’t receive any hate because you’re different and the chances to win are equal for everybody.

The benefits of practicing a sport are various.

For example you keep fit and you develop your physical condition. You keep yourself healthy and you prevent illness.

Some kids are feeling pushed aside and they just want to have friends and, they also want to be good at something, so, the sport is the best way to do this.

And if they don’t have sport abilities they can also practice a sport in the park.

I’ve made a lot of friends since I started to play badminton and I feel like can do anything when I practice a sport.

I’m glad that there are associations and people who are launching antiracism projects through sport because that’s a way to tell people that is important for children to feel loved or admired by somebody and that projects are a way to help kids who are feeling pushed aside to get new friends and to rediscover their selves.

Rasismul

Rasismul este din punct de vedere al metodologiei psihologice un „esențialism‖.

Esențialismul cognitiv este o formă răspândită și vastă de mecanisme de clasare tipice gândirii umane, care acoperă procesele intelectu ale atât ale adulților cât și ale copiilor, pe cele ale indivizilor din țări avansate socialmente cât și pe acelea ale membrilor triburilor aflate din punct de vedere social încă în plină preistorie.

El se rezumă la tendința spontană și persistentă, inconștientă și intuitivă, de a reprezenta lucrurile sau persoanele, considerând caracteristicile lor ca fiind produse de o „esență‖ care în fapt este fictivă dar care în percepția indivizilor este proprie categoriei lor.

Rasismul Rasismul reprezintă un grup de atitudini, practici și acțiuni care își au sursa în convingerea că diferențele sociale și culturale se explică prin diferențe biologice și ereditare dintre rasele umane.

Rasismul este procesul de discriminare datorat credințelor și ideologiilor, produse în secolele XIX și XX de către francezii Jules Soury, Joseph Arthur de Gobineau și Charles Maurras sau de germanul nazist Alfred Rosenberg, conform cărora rasele omenești pot fi clasificate de la inferior la superior în baza caracteristicilor biologice fundamental diferite cu care par a fi înzestrate.

Rasismul presupune așadar că oamenii sunt inegali în funcție de etnia căreia îi aparțin sau de culoarea pielii, adică, mai global, convingerea că popoarele sunt inegale ca atare.

Comisia Europeană a decis ca rasismul, xenofobia, negarea sau banalizarea genocidului să fie pedepsite cu închisoare de la unu la trei ani, în ţările din Uniunea Europeană.

"Rasismul şi xenofobia nu îşi au loc în Europa şi nici în altă parte din lume" a declarat comisarul european al Justiţiei, Jacques Barrot. "Salut introducerea sancţiunilor severe şi eficiente împotriva acestor încălcări ale drepturilor omului şi a libertăţilor fundamentale care sunt principii comune în ţările europene", a adăugat acesta.

Membrii Comisiei Europene au hotărât să sancţioneze şi "susţinerea, negarea sau ironizarea în mod public a genocidului, a crimelor împotriva umanităţii şi a crimelor de război?. În funcţie de timpul necesar introducerii prevederilor în legislaţiile naţionale, acestea ar putea în câteva luni sau chiar în câţiva ani.

Caz de rasism observat în şcoală

Eleva: CORNEA MADALINA, cls.a VII a Liceul Tehnologic „Ovid Densuşianu” , Călan , jud. Hunedoara Prof. Olariu Anca Mirabela

Printre cei 25 de elevi ai unei clase I, sunt şi 2 eleve de etnie rromă. Primul lucru pe care l-am observat intrând în clasă a fost faptul că cele două fetiţe erau aşezate în ultima bancă.

Ceilalţi copiii din clasă erau ocupaţi cu scrierea, pe când fetiţele respective desenau-mâzgăleau mai bine zis- cu nişte cioturi de creioane colorate pe nişte caiete murdare, pătate. Am rămas impresionată de imaginea din faţa ochilor: erau îmbrăcate sărăcăcios, murdare, nepieptănate, neîngrijite, dar în ciuda acestor ―dezavantaje‖...zâmbeau.

Discutând cu învăţătoarea despre situaţia lor am aflat că una dintre ele are 9 ani iar cealaltă are 7 ani şi sunt surori; provin dintr-o familie numeroasă şi trăiesc la limita subzistenţei; se întâmplă să lipsească de la şcoală (atunci când părinţii merg să-şi câştige pâinea pe unde apucă iar ele trebuie să rămână acasă cu fraţii mai mici) şi sunt trimise adesea la cerşit de către părinţi.

Nu au caiete, nu au ghiozdane-mai primesc de la ceilalţi elevi din clasă atunci când ei nu mai au nevoie de aceste obiecte, nu reuşesc să ţină ritmul cu ceilalţi elevi şi întâmpină dificultăţi de învăţare; mi-a spus că stau în ultima bancă pentru că « sunt interesate în mică măsură de activităţile clasei, miros urât şi distrg atenţia celorlalţi elevi »

Este un caz tipic de rasism clasic.

Este o manifestare aunei atitudini negative şi a unor comportamente discriminatorii faţă de rromi.

Sunt atribuite astfel caracteristici ce pun romii în situaţie de inferioritate faţă de celelalte grupuri.

Printre măsurile pe care ar putea să le ia conducerea şcolii pentru a limita/opri atitudinile rasiste în şcoală se numără:  formarea continuă a cadrelor didactice cursuri de formare centrate pe problema integrării şi discriminării;  un regulament de ordine interioară, care să cuprindă comportamente şi atitudini nediscriminatorii la adresa elevilor;  favorizarea apariţiei de grupuri de joacă în care să fie incluşi şi astfel de copii;  adaptarea curriculumului de către cadrul didactic în funcţie de posibilităţile elevulului, întocmirea unui program pedagogic individualizat, etc;  educaţie intreculturală la nivel de şcoală şi comunitate;  respect şi înţelegere faţă de celălat, asupra căruia există un stigmat puternic,  parteneriate cu alte şcoli unde punerea în practică a educaţiei interculturale este o reuşită  activităţi extraşcolare, care să pună în evidenţă elementele de cultură rromă: aptitudinile acestor copii (ex.aptitudini artistice-dans rromani)  participarea părinţilor români şi rromi la acest gen de activităţi.

Case of racism in school Among those 25 students in a class, there are 2 ethnic Roma students. The first thing I noticed in class was that the two little girls were placed in the last bench.

Other children in the class were busy with writing, while those previously little girls draw with some stubs of crayons on some dirty, stained notebooks. I was impressed by the image in front of the eyes: they were dressed shabby, dirty, combed, but despite these "disadvantages" .. .they were smiling.

Cum discutăm cu elevii cu cerinţe speciale?

Elevii îşi doresc în şcoală consilierea şi orientarea făcută cu profesionalism căci aceasta îi ajută să se cunoască mai bine şi să interacţioneze mai eficient şi confortabil cu lumea din jur şi, de ce nu, cu viaţa şcolară.

Consilierea în cadrul elevilor cu cerinţe educaţionale speciale au un specific aparte:cel ajutat are nevoie să i se respecte demnitatea /când suferă de afecţiuni specifice , el speră să primească ajutor la nevoile sale speciale astfel încât să găsească soluţii la problemele cu care se confruntă.

,,Înţelepciunea nu o primim moştenire, trebuie să o descoperim noi înşine într-o călătorie pe care nimeni nu o poate face în locul nostru şi de care nimeni nu ne poate scuti’’ (Marcel Prost).

Din cauza celor specificate, consilierea şi orientarea elevilor cu CES generează dificultăţi pentru pedagogi, profesorii de sprijin, psihologi ,diriginţi, pentru toţi aceia care interacţionează cu aceste categorii de elevi.

Astfel, dirigintele care are în grijă un elev cu cerinţe educaţionale special devine, automat, implicat în a desfăşura următoarele funcţii : consilier, coordonator, evaluator.

Comportamentul opozant-negativist se manifestă specific în conduita fiecărui copil, cu timpul el se consolidează, devine obişnuinţă şi riscul este să exercite o influenţă negativă asupra dezvoltării copilului.

De aceea, prevenirea şi combaterea acestor obiceiuri, atât în familie, cât şi în grădiniţă constituie una din sarcinile de bază ale adulţilor care se află în mod firesc, în permanenţă, în preajma copilului.

Experienţa arată că la fel de bine părinţii pot fi educatori excelenţi atunci când sunt bine dotaţi cu bun simţ, cu un simţ paternmatern şi cu suficientă înţelepciune astfel încât să poată da o educaţie cât mai benefică copilului. Este de preferat să rămână fermi pe poziţie atunci când este necesară corijarea unor greşeli sau comportamente nepotrivite ale propriului copil.

Întâlnim comportament negativist la grădiniţă şi în clasele primare, la preşcolari şi micii şcolari.

Cum se manifestă?

Prin refuzul, nepotrivirea faţă de acţiunile celor din jur, fie ei colegi sau cadre didactice. Adesea acest comportament este privit de ceilalţi ca fiind capriciu sau încăpăţânare

FIGHTING RACISM THROUGH SPORT As we all know, sport is a dynamic activity, which innovates constantly and which is not contaminated by the political world. Sport is like life: it advances through evolutionary individualism. So, sport is a place where the political system can’t stop people from making their own choices and having a good time.

Nowadays, more and more people abandon the idea of making sport because they are too busy, tired or they are simply bored of practicing.

The every day distractions , the large diversity of opportunities and ways of having fun are just a few examples that make people give up their healthy way of living.

In my opinion , ones life is irrelevant or incomplete without at least a little sport, because this activity makes your blood running through your veins , it makes you feel better, it is the healthy way of living which I whole-heartedly recommend to everybody. Also, through sport, people connect with each other , act like a team and communicate better , in order to build life-lasting friendships. So it doesn’t matter what race you are, because in the dark, we are all the same color. We should take into consideration that ―a book’s coverage says nothing about it’s content‖. This rule of conception should also be applied on our way of judging others, because most of the times we are probably wrong.

Racism is something you learn, not something you are born with , so what all of us should do is learning how to integrate others, not to look down on them. ―Do you know what we call opinion in the absence of evidence? We call it prejudice !‖ (Michael Crichton).

DE CE AM PARTICIPAT LA PROIECTUL ,,FOTBAL ANTIRASISM ,, Profesor Pop Mirela Emilia Școala Gimnazială Băsești Județul Maramureș De câțiva ani școala noastră participă la o competiție de fotbal pentru băieți intitulată Cupa Codrului la care participă echipe de băieți de la școlile din zona noastră. Fetele erau mereu supărate că nu pot participa sau in cel mai fericit caz atunci când competiția era organizată în școala noastră ele erau pe post de majorete.

Când competiția era organizată în deplasare fetele nu participau deloc, ele neavând loc în microbusul școlar.

Proiectul Fotbal antirarsim a venit ca o mănușă și din start am ales să organizăm o competiție între două echipe de fete echipate corespunzător și motivate să câștige. Am găsit cu greu o zi însorită deoarece vremea nu a ținut cu noi, dar iată că a venit și ziua cea mare. Arbitru a fost domnul profesor de educație fizică Sebastian Rusu iar de pe margini ne-au susținut băieții, doamna director Papariga Iulia și profesoarele Bud Mihaela și Negrea Maria.

Meciul a început timid dar lupta a fost strânsă și amândouă echipele au câștigat. Au învățat că pot fi o echipă și am învățat cu toții că și fetele pot înscrie goluri și pot apăra goluri. Toți participanții au fost de acord că este bine să facem mișcare în loc să ne jucăm pe calculator și că este bine să nu discriminăm adică să nu facem diferențe între noi. ,,Competiția a fost cea mai bună ocazie pentru a-mi crește încrederea în mine și în forțele mele‖, a spus Alexandra. ,,Ne dorim să participăm și la anul‖ a spus Andreea căpitanul albaștrilor. Mai mult fetele s-au gândit să organizeze și ele o competiție de fotbal fete între două școli pentru a învinge și în deplasare.

Mă bucur că am putut participa și anul acesta și felicit organizatorii pentru inițiativă și le urez success în continuarea proiectului.

Influenţa sportului în societate După părerea mea, când vine vorba de sport nu ar trebui nimeni lăsat de o parte sau ignorat. Sportul este în mare parte despre a fi o echipă şi despre a acţiona ca atare. La şcoală eu şi colegele mele facem parte din echipa şcolii de handball şi am observat că atunci cand trebuie să jucăm împreună împotriva altei clase sau a altei echipe ne unim şi formăm echipa perfectă şi aşa câştigăm meciul. Dar când vine vorba ca la oră să jucăm una împotriva alteia niciodată nu reuşim să jucăm cinstit deoarece nu avem (unele dintre noi!) acel ceva, numit fairplay. Şi am mai observat că atuci când trebuie făcute echipele tot timpul cele mai slabe nu joacă, de multe ori le-am văzut plângând sau supărându-se pe colegul care nu le-a ales în echipa sa. Iar aici intervine egalitatea de şanse care, după părerea mea, este foarte importantă întrun colesctiv mai mare cum ar fi o clasa de 28-30 de elevi. Indiferent că respectivul nu joacă bine sau nu ştie trebuie să îi dăm şi acestuia o şansă pentru că de exemplu, acesta nu a avut niciodata şansa de a le arăta celorlalţi ce poate. Pe lângă integrarea mai uşoară în societate sau într-un colectiv mai are şi următoarele beneficii pentru noi ca oameni, ca de exemplu: ne ajută să fim mai inteligenţi, echilibrează activitatea psihică, dormim liniştiţi, fără coşmaruri.

Mişcarea este cel mai bun medicament antiobezitate, acesta ne scapă de grăsimi, ne motivează să ne depăşim limitele, ne ajută să avem încredere în noi înşine, lungeşte viaţa şi calitatea acesteia, măreşte capacitatea de reacţie, te face să reacţionezi mai rapid, te face să ai o stare de bine, pozitivă: să râzi, să cânţi, să dansezi, etc, întinereşte inima, îţi oferă posibilitatea de a evada din cotidian, devii mai frumos, frumuseţea vine din interior, din starea de bine.

Prof. îndrumător: Rotariu Anca Elena Mişcarea fizică acţionează şi asupra creierului. Sportul ne oferă o viaţă mai sănătoasă şi ne pregăteşte creierul pentru o bătrâneţe mai uşoară.

Fitness-ul are un impact aparte asupra capacităţii de cunoaştere a persoanelor în vârstă. Exerciţiile stimulează sistemul nervos şi păstreaza agilitatea creierului. Capacitatea de memorare poate fi imbunătăţită oricând prin intermediul sportului fizic şi mental.

Sport is mostly about being on a team and act as such. At the school for me and my colleagues are part of the school team handball, and I noticed that when we have to play together against another class or another team unite and form the perfect team and so win the game. But there are facts which show that we can override discrimination, for example: in America, Obama became the first black president. Racism and discrimination did not exist then in America. There were many interracial weddings in the US. Racism has not disappeared completely, but it is definitely less.

We are all humans. We all make mistakes that we regret later on.

Unfortunately, discrimination is one of them.

But why do we do this? What is the purpose?

Simply because some people are fatter then others or uglyer or because they have other opinion than us regarding life? That is a stupid thing.

Suntem cu toţii oameni. Facem greşeli şi lucruri pe care apoi le regretăm. Din păcate, discriminarea este unul dintre aceste lucruri.

De ce facem asta? Cu ce scop?

Doar pentru că unii oameni sunt mai plinuţi, sau urâţi, sau pentru că unii oameni au o altă opinie privitoare la viaţă? Asta este stupid şi imatur.

For this they must fulfill several conditions: height, weight, strength. If one of them is not fulfilled, the school doesn’t want to have him. From my point of view this is not correct because everybody should have equal opportunities.

The teacher starts listening all, when he reaches first rrom, he gets up and say that he didn’t study for today. The teacher gave him a bad grade, 4 , then when he reaches to a Romanian, this one say he didn’t study , but the teacher isn’t giving him a bad grade, he says to him ―Next time you should learn‖, This thing must not be done in schools, every student, indiferent of his kind, religion, nationality, he must to get the grades that he deserves.

Not if he is rrom you give a bad grade, and if is Romanian, you don’t.

The sports role in society

Nowdays, a big part of our life we spent it in front of the TV or in front of the computer screens, ever since we are children. So doing a sport, has a very important role in our life.

By practicing different sports we can fight sedentariness, obesity and we can have a healthy lifestyle. Educational institutions have an important role in promoting sport. The sport should be promoted in schools by encouraging all students to do different kinds of activities without any kind of discrimination between children, by giving them the same opportunities to participate at activities that take place in sports classes even if some are better than others or have different social status.

In sport you’ll meet often this discrimination. At big football clubs are all kind of players, different by their facts, by their looking, by their religion, by their kind, by their nationality. In every football match if in a team exists a man with a different kind, every time the rival team will criticize him.

That’s why they founded the campaign ―SayNoToRacism‖, to no longer uses their aspects, every man indifferent by his kind, religion, nationality must have the same rights as us all.

There shouldn’t be made differences between people with some extra pounds and those who have a normal weight, on the contrary the last mentioned should encourage and motivate the other do practice sport, and not to leave them behind just because they can’t do some exercices or aren’t as good as the

others.

So, sport can have an important role, integrating all the people in a much bigger group in such way that everybody should feel part of something. This begins with every one of us. If we are careful to people around us, we can create a better world, as we wish to be.

Another example that shows the importance of the sport is when you can’t do the same exercices as your colegues do and you are called an outsider, a fat child at whom everybody laughs and makes fun of, being the reason of others amusement. Sports and discrimination Student Puşcaşu Raluca Discrimnation is a situation in which a group or a single person is treated different from others usually because they are part of a distinct social group or other categories such as religion, age, sex or people with different disabilities.

For example, sometimes, when playing sports, boys think that they are better than girls. They think that if we are girls, we can’t do anything, but this is not true at all. Anyone can achieve performance no matter the age, religion or sex. There are many sportive girls or women who had had many good results in national or international competitions. There, the sportives don’t care about nationality, religion or sex. They fight to win and to show their value.

In my opinion, spots influence us very much and does us a lot of good. With the help of the sport we can struggle against diseases, and helps us to develop our thinking and other skills, in other words, to develop mentality and character.

Sports is a positive factor, and discrimination a negative one, so the two of them can’t be combined. Sports comes first, so when the two of them meet, discriminations is abolished.

The Role and influence of sport in society Sports is a very important factor in the growth and proper development of a child. Therefore, in their free time people should practice a sport like swimming of football. From my point of view every sport is good.

But when a fat child or from another etniticity or religion is going to a particular sport, in most cases is discriminated by the other children. Maybe the most important thing is that the coach doesn’t know anything about any of this so he can’t prevent some things from happening.

There are cases in which all this changes when the coach is whistling the beginning of the match.

In conclusion we should behave properly with this people to integrate them in the society, and sport is the place where this change can really begin happening.

Sports results The sports can be individual or a team sports. In individual sports, for instance: tennis, athletics or swimming we don't talk about discrimination, you're on your own, as part of a team sports, communication is very important for the entire group.

For example: a handball team, in which members are choosen after friendly preference, nationality or other differences, they will not win no matter how good they are.

Usually boys do it less than girls, especially in my school.

When they play football, all boys are equal no matter what, but girls passes the ball only to their friends, and that is not fair play.

The sports often approach people, because they learn to lose and to win together.

Many have met their best friends in this context.

În general, comportamentul social se reglează în funcţie de aşteptările şi reacţiile celorlalţi. Cele mai importante mijloace de transmitere sunt limbajul, mimica, gestica, diferitele forme de întărire pozitivă şi negativă, pentru un comportament dezirabil, respectiv indezirabil. Comportamentul implică o componentă intelectualaă, una structurală, una intenţională şi una emoţională şi poate fi deschis şi apt de perfecţionare, sau închis, stereotipizat.

Activităţile sportive au un caracter social, a căror desfăşurare ne aduce în prezenţa semenilor; prin aceasta, ne invită mereu la comunicare, interacţiune, determinându-ne să dezvoltăm deprinderi de relaţionare socială, precum şi atitudini specifice.

Ca mediu favorabil socializării, activităţile sportive au următoarele caracteristici: - oferă o ocazie de a cunoaşte alţi oameni şi de a comunica cu ei, de a dobândi unele deprinderi sociale cum sunt toleranţa şi respectul faţă de ceilalţi, de a trăi emoţii nu prea usor de resimţit în alte sfere ale vieţii, de adaptare la obiectivul echipei, prin cooperare şi coeziune; - principalul scop al practicării sportului şi al exerciţiului fizic este de a sprijini libera asociere în vederea contactelor sociale; - activităţile fizice au efecte pozitive asupra autoaprecierii, încrederii în sine, energiei, dispoziţiei şi stării de bine; - au efecte pozitive pentru persoanele cu disabilităţi şi alte categorii speciale de populaţie.

Atunci când luăm startul avem cu toţii o şansă egală, de care fiecare va beneficia în funcţie de pregătire, dorinţe, aspiraţii, educaţie, forţă.

About Sport Sport is an activity which involves physical exertion and skill. It is governed by a set of rules and it is usually played in a team or individually for enjoyment or in competitions.

Many people around the world do sport because it is a pleasant way of spending the time and it brings us a multitude of benefits, like improved health and fitness, and the development of social and communication skills.

I believe that one of the humanity’s biggest problem is the incapability of understanding and accepting the uniqueness of others. The role of sport is to break the shaded walls of discrimination and to plant, instead, a field of daisies where people from all over the world could play together, without the fear of being judged by the other individuals. Sport has the power to connect people like no other activity because it has no language. Talking is not necessary. However, having a good time is.  In the grand scheme of things, wheter people have dark, white or yellow skin is not significant at all as long as we are all having fun doing sport.

What truly matters is the smile on people faces when they do something they like, when they feel connected to others. Sport has no colour, gender or age, it is an action with no boundaries. Our job, as a society , is to keep it like this. Forever. To unite all people within sport.

There was a time when I played handbal and it was the best time of my life! I laughed a lot, a enjoyed every second, minute, hour of the training, and honestly I couldn't ask for more.

When I was playing, I was full of energy and I thought I could do anything in that moment. Before handbalcame into my life, I used to be very shy and I didn’t know how to fight back or how to support my opinions, so now, I could say that experience helped me change these shortcomings!

Story 3 I met awesome people, I managed to make a lot of good friends and sometimes that can make all the difference.

I believe that any kind of sport can change lives for the better and it can help us to fit in the society. In my opinion, everybody should try to practice a sport to see what it is like, even if it does not always work, at least it’s worth trying.

I have always been against discriminating people with disabilities. The last scene that I witnesses involved a disabled boy from my high school who was mocked by a group of teenage boys based on the disability that he had. It seemed so unfair to me. I think that all people are equal so no one has the right to offend, humiliate or insult the disabled just because they are different. In fact, some people with disabilities can even be a lot better at different sports than healthy people.

profesor Aniţaş Cornelia- Liceul Teoretic „Emil Racovita”, Baia Mare CERN , Organizaţia Europeană pentru Cercetări Nucleare este una dintre cele mai mari şi respectate centre pentru cercetări ştiinţifice din lume. Fondată în 1954 , situată lângă Geneva, în localitatea Meyrin este una dintre primele organizaţii europene, iar acum are 21 de state membere şi peste 2400 de persone care contribuie la pregătirea, executarea, analiza şi interpretarea datelor ştiinţifice ale experimentelor complexe din domeniul fizicii fundamentale, căutând modul de formare a Universului şi cum funcţionează acesta.

Vorbind despre egalitatea de şanse, putem spune ca ea există şi se aplică nu doar în lumea sportului. Deşi România nu este încă ţară membră, studenţii şi profesorii din ţara noastră pot beneficia de cursuri organizate de CERN. Insă nu numai! Peste 600 institute şi universităţi din întreaga lume folosesc facilităţile CERN.

Unii oameni de ştiinţă care vizitează annual, 10.000 din peste 113 de ţări - jumătate din cei implicaţi în studiul fizicii particulelor din lume - vin la CERN pentru cercetarea lor.

Am participat în perioada 04 -23 iulie 2010, alături de 40 de profesori din 22 de ţări (UK, Grecia, Israel, Franţa, USA, Ghana, Finlanda, Spania, Portugalia, Rwanda, Italia, Japonia, Kenya,Turcia, Slovacia, Tailanda, Olanda, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Norvegia şi România) la programulul HST organizat anual în colaborare cu alte organizaţii printre care şi UNESCO, pentru profesorii de fizică. Toţi am străbătut lumea ca să vedem maşinăria uriaşă - minunăţia LHC. Unul dintre obiectivele programului este de a contribui la aprofundarea noţiunilor despre fizica particulelor. În cele trei săptămâni am participat la prelegeri, vizite (Sfera Inovaţiei , Square Van Hove-ca un muzeu în aer liber cu componente utilizate la CERN, locul unde s-a născut webuldatorită lui Tim Berners Lee în1989, Grid-ul-punctul zero al reţelei webb, la 100 m sub pământ la experimentul CMS, Laboratoarele CERNului, săli de training, Centrul de Control al CERN ului, prezentarea unor materiale educaţionale de la Phywe, obiective turistice din Geneva), seminarii despre fizica particulelor sub bagheta magică a managerului programului HST Mick Storr, experimente în laboratoarele CERN-ului.

Sport, disabilities and discrimination Sport, disabilities and discrimination… three words that usually don’t get along very well. Most people think that if a person has a major problem, for instance a disabled one who doesn’t have an arm or a leg, then he can’t practice any sport.

Still, there are a lot of disabled people who started exercising and practicing a certain sport and became world champions.

These people fight with themselves every single day to achieve something great.

With the help of modern technology and some dedicated doctors, these special people can run, swim, climb and do a lot more. They can become famous champions due to the special trainers who know how to work and motivate them. If people have various physical problems, it doesn’t mean they must be forgotten or not taken care of; they should be helped to become active members of our society because sport can change disabled people to achieve their full potential.

Discrimination

is the ability to judge somebody without knowing his or her story or life problems. You can be discriminated for so many things: your appearance, skin, knowledge, talent, education. But who can discriminate you?

Insensitive people who can’t think how you feel afterwards, uneducated or jealous people who want to be in the center of the attention no matter what.

Before you discriminate somebody, think first! Put yourself in his or her shoes.

Don’t judge somebody who lost his leg because you don’t know what happened or how the person feels.

Maybe he saved somebody’s life and sacrificed his own to do it.

Conversely, give that person a helping hand because you will feel a lot better, trust me. Don’t discriminate people who dress up differently.

Maybe they have their own style and don’t like common things. Don’t judge if you see somebody different from you. We were born equal but different!

I think if there were no discrimination, it would be more peace and harmony on earth. So stop discrimination! Only God can judge you!
