WEEK 3 READING: TITLE OF READING

Question 1: What is Pictorial Space according to Le Corbusier? (Maximum 100 words) Pictorial Space is the illusionary space in a painting which cannot be entered or circulated throug. It is irremediably space viewed from a distance and resigned to frontality.

1ST MARIO’S WORLD

World 1 (above) was drawn with everything being projected backward. The world 2 (below) is the original combination of two worlds.

COMBINED MARIO’S WORLD

This is a rendition of the flat pictoral representation transformed in to 3D form revealing the hidden pace that was filled with new elements.

WEEK 4 READING: TITLE OF READING Complete your reading before attempting these questions:

Question 1: Explain the difference between Pictoral (in this case perspectival) space and Projection? (Maximum 100 words) Projection: a fixed point avant-grade’s vision of new world transmits abstract information which is precise but does not get exist represents universal geometries and infinite space. Perspective: records real information which already exist and does not represent the universal limits space and has confined it to a finite and closed flat picture piane

Question 2: Where did Axonometric projection first arise, and why? (Maximum 100 words) 1.1925, El Lissitzky. It was first arise at military context. 2.Chart the three dimensional trajectories of artillery projectiles and creating a pictorial drawing of an object and a new form of representation.

ILLUSTRATED MARIO’S NEW WORLD

In this drawing, I want to show a city under the sea. I use the vivid color instead of the original dull color to make the new world lively. What’s more I use gradient color to creat a sense of 3D quality. Also, I add more game objects and characters to make the world more interesting. This is a routine live of the undersea creature.

APPENDIX

Equipments that I used to draw.

I traced the profile of the objects and drew the girds to mark the point then base on the marks I drew the axo.

This shows the woking process of one of the two worlds. The image was rotated 45 degree and I projected the objects backwards.
