The ShopRite LPGA Classic will be returning to Seaview Resort & Spa in Galloway, NJ from May 28—June 3, 2012. Past champions of the ShopRite Classic include Nancy Lopez, Juli Inkster, Annika Sorenstam, Cristie Kerr, & Ai Miyazato. At Horsham Valley Golf Club on Saturday, May 26, the Philly Junior Tour will perform a oneday test run of BlueGolf’s new Scorecard Application. Just like traditional paper scorecards, players keep track of both their own hole-by-hole scores and one of their fellow competitors using the electronic scorecard interface. Since scores are updated hole-by-hole, even if you run out of battery life, your existing scores are saved. At the scoring table after your round, your scorecard will be printed out so you can officially check and attest your score. Using the Scorecard App allows many additional BlueGolf features to be activated, including live scoring, individual shot tracking, full-round analysis,
GPS yardages, and aerial tours available instantaneously. The Philly Junior Tour App is available on both Apple and Android devices. If you have a smartphone, be part of the test run by playing in the Horsham Valley tournament. The Philly Junior Tour staff will evaluate the success of the Scorecard App after the event. Four times this summer, the Philly Junior Tour will hit the road for a Series Event. In 2012, we are excited to visit Rehoboth Beach, Dover, the Poconos, and State College. All Series Events are nationally-ranked through Junior Golf Scoreboard, and many families choose to make a mini-vacation out of the series. Play golf in the morning, and spend your afternoon and evening exploring the sites and dining at local hotspots. John Appleget, PGA Professional from Wildwood Golf & Country Club gave Junior Tour Members 1-on-1 sessions using TrackMan technology. TrackMan is a launch monitor which provides detailed analysis and stats on your swing and ball flight, and is a crucial component of understanding swing path, club position and ball flight analysis. 29 Junior Tour Members participated in this event, and all received their individual statistics via email from the session.
