Announcing! New for the 2013 Season…
Philly Junior Elite Tour slope, course ra ng, ect. We will be looking to fill our elite tournament fields with a minimum of 40 boys and 12 girls, set compe ve yardages, and take into considera on the course’s slope and course ra ng to increase the pres ge of these events. With the addi on of the Elite Tour, the number of tournament results sent to We will con nue to run the Philly Junior Tour Junior Golf Scoreboard (JGS) in a season will as in past seasons, open to all juniors who increase to sixteen. Juniors must compete in would like to compete. However, in addi on four JGS‐ranked tournament in a calendar year to establish a na onal ranking. to our regularly planned season, we will introduce five new invita on‐only 2‐day Registration events. In the con nued effort to serve our membership and improve the Philly Junior Tour, we are proud (and excited!) to announce the crea on of the Philly Junior Elite Tour to be introduced for the 2013 season.

If you are eligible to compete on the Elite Tour in 2013, please select the Elite Membership op on during registra on (Elite Membership is the same price as our Full Membership). Online registra on for all Elite Tour events opens Monday, March 25th at 12:01 a.m. on a first‐come, first‐serve basis and not 3 weeks prior like most of the other events on the Philadelphia Junior Tour. The entry fee for an Elite Tour event is $125.

Elite Tour Format
We plan on scheduling five Elite Tournaments. Here are the dates already scheduled:
One of the primary goals of the elite tour is to help our juniors climb up the Na onal Rankings by playing locally. Many factors go into determining na onal rankings, including June 13‐14, 2013 Wyncote GC size of field, strength of field, yardages, July 22‐23, 2013 Makefield Highlands GC
Elite Tour Membership status can be gained by pos ng a target score in any regular season Philly Junior Tournament. For the 2013 season, scores posted since 1/1/12 will qualify for the Elite Tour. Please keep in mind that a qualifying score must be posted at a course that has a par 70 or higher for 18 holes. For juniors who have not met these standards already, you may qualify at any point during the 2013 calendar year for the Elite Tour, and the PJT staff can then upgrade your account to Elite Membership status. See the chart below for your division’s target scores.

Invita ons to the Elite Tour are also extended to junior golfers in the top 1,000 boys or top 500 girls on the Junior Golf Scoreboard, Polo Golf, or Golfweek Rankings lists. As a primary goal of the Elite Tour is to help our juniors gain na onal rankings in 36‐hole tournaments over two days, the 12 & Under Division is not eligible to compete. Juniors in the 12 & Under Division have the opportunity to move up to an 18‐hole division—please contact us for addi onal playing requirements if you are interested in making this division switch.
