Elke Porter

Elke Porter heard the call in 2007 while talking to a Russian Lady in Vancouver who had just purchased a German Deli. She was told "Russian Community small and it has 3 papers. German Community big and it has no paper." For 3 years, she published the Westcoast German News Letter, turned that into a blog for 3 years and now in 2013 turned it into a print-on-demand magazine. She encourages contributions, letters to the editor and family-friendly jokes.
