I lived in Scotland, Italy, France, and Bahrain before finally settling in Canyelles. My children keep asking me recently what 'extranjera' means and I tell them that most people who live in Canyelles live there because that´s where they were born but extranjera´s, like Mummy, live in Canyelles because they chose to. I tell them that Mummy lived all over the world before she found a place that she loved so much that she decided to stay! I´ve worked on health farms, cruise ships and spent fifteen years working as a flight attendant for a major Global Airline before taking voluntary redundancy in 2009.
