MEASURED DRAWING OF A CROISSANT How to measure a Croissant? To draw the croissant, first step was to use the camera to take photos of each elements of the crossiant, as shown on the right. Then after cutting the sections out from half of the croissant, use scanner to scan the seections, The drawing techniques excetp using tracing paper to trace the basic figure or outline, I used my own drawing skill such as sketching to draw out the details in the croissant, for example the shadows, in sections of the crossiant, as well as the details on each elements view, for the aim of describing the solid feeling and make it realistic, by showing the level of gradation. After finish drawing each sections, the step is to draw the axonometric, by covering a tracing pape on three sections, after putting them in the order to show the half crossiant figure. Then use the similar way that use fine line paper to draw out the final figure of the croissant. Overall the most interesting part of drawing the croissant is to use sketching sill to show the gradation and make the croissant that drawn realistic and still can complete a whole crossiant after cutting it by using axonometric skill and so on.

NEW MARIO WORLD
WORLD 28-10 The making of new Mario world. On the right is my Mario world. This is thefinal version of my mario coloured world after I done the basic outline tracing. Because of the green plants i have drawn on the plane, I named the world Mario’s Dreamy Garden. I used green as a basic colour, and used pen tool , changing the size and the levels of green, the plants looks more realistic because of the gradations of thesurroundings. The pen tool was also used on drawing details, and the cirrus, which can be seen from the picture. Some other green colour points are drawn under the lower level. to create a sense of growing, under the grounds, it also means the continuous of life. For the reason not letting the under wall not empty, I drew two pieces of glass that are transparent , and placed them on the window and the gate I have drawn. To make them transparent, I adjusted the opacity of the coulour under 100% , so the glasses can be transparent enough and see the under view at the same time. Since I used large area of green, to make the scene not to crowded, and more realistic similar as a garden, I still kept the ground colour , which is the same colour as the cirrus, whcih is close to brown, but still cointain a bit green colour, in concert with the basic green colour. After adjusting the colour to the brown, the structure would not be too full or mussy. And this is the Mario’s Dreamy Garden, based on my favourite colour, green, to create a atmosphere that is lively.

1.The material preparation befor drawing the outline of the mario world. Including the T-square,set-square, pencil, eraser, fineline paper and the masking tape
2. Making sure the degree of the position of the original photos of the 2d mario world is 45degrees, by using the set square and t-square at the smae time.
3. After making sure the position is correct, each level to use one tracing paper cover on top, to draw out the 3d objects by defining the length on two papers,as the height of the 3d outline, since I have 2 levels, 2 time need to be done for the outline, however, in opposite direction. Each level needs two papers also, the right angle of the papers can make sure the final combining is correct.
4. This is the final line work of the 2-levelmario world, after combinning line works for each leve on two pages, then use a final tracing paper to cover on both level, to draw out the final version, by using fineline pen. Also, after combining the levels, some extra characters are drawn on the module. Final linework of the mario world, by using tracing paper cover on the top after combining two seperate levles, then using finel line paper to outine the figure, and add more characters.

The making of new landscape On the right is my 3d panel. Since my original surface is more plain than has obvious curve, so make the differentiation more obvious, not obly between the model and the 2d surface, but also to show the slight on both edge of the surfave I decide to make the middle of the model lower than the outside, which are the edges, So I delete most of the 3d panels closer to the middle. Also, to make it more simialr to a landscape,a river cave is the figure of this model. Triangular shape 3d model represent the mountains and the 2d panels to show the river form.

This is the final drawing of isometric view of the city Zora, with objects and characters in two perspectives, showing the story and the atmosphere in the city Zora.
-This shows the movement of Marcopolo’s movement that I designed in the city Zora. Maropolo started at the very left of this module, walking directly to the middle of the city, found out the city has a environment and atmosphere that is full with passion about study and researching, circles represent characters have shown in the diagram. Then he continued his walking, turn righ and walking past the columns, to the right view of the city, the atmosphere and scene that was warm because of the emotions shown from the view infront of the harbour to him. He also found out the great view of sea at the back of the city, shown by a figure of the star in the diagram, character and objects also shown by circles at the right side of the modle. Arrows represent his movement. His movement was continuosly, and end with the sea view represents by the star. 9
Perspective 1. This scene shows a view near a harbour. Using a sailor’s kiss-goodbye scene as the main part, and put in the middle of the scene, also with other characters and objects to show the atmosphere near a harbour, for example the old couple walking toward to the harbour, the little girl reading while waiting for her family, the carriage and horses down the back, also with clouds, mist, sea view and plants as decoration.

Perspective2. This scene show a part of the ordinary town, but with a academic envirnment, with not only scientists in the scene doing their researches, but also has kids thinking and researching. Using the copper clock, fountains and the astronomer’s tower to create a academical atmosphere. But with the residental house down the back to mention, this atmosohere still exist in a normal town.

REFLECTION
EXAMPLES OF SOFTWARE USING IMPOVEMENT
From these 4 projects we have done this semester, What I have learned is how we see, view and explore the objects. For examole from Module 1, measuring the croissant , drawing a croissiant is not only viewing from the basic viewm that from front, top or bottom, but also include the inner parts that, orgainzing and combining them again back to a complete crossiant. So viewing a object is not always only about the surface, but the inner and exterior at the same time. The other modules also refletc it, that creating a project that is more developed than we seen before that, a whole range view is more required. As a design student, the skills I have learned through this semester much more than I have expected. Since the only skill I had befor I start this subect was hand drawing. So in Module 1 of drawing the croissant was a great beginning for me, but in the forst module, which is also the first time and opportunity to learn the new software-Photoshop, when I had to use the software to clean the background of the drawing I done by hand. Moule 2 was the time I learned using Illustrator, although it still included and required hadn drawing, Using software to fill the colour in AI was another skill I had, fortunately, the skill to use this software is much better now.
Photoshop skills’ first try in module 1
Rhino is the hardest part I have learned this semester, because the steps I need to memorize included a lot. Also, to create a 3d model includes more details when using the software, which need to be paid more attention on. Which means, a small step during the process can also affect the following or the previous steps, to cause a complete failure.Which indicated from Module3 and 4. Nomatter when creatiing a landscape model , or creating an isometric. The skills I have Learned this semester includes a lot. However during each module, the problems of myself can easily be recognized. Especially on Module3, since the Rhino was the sill I haven’t perfectlly learned, when creating the model, each step is important. The whole process could be easily affected by any of those small mistakes that I didn’t find out on time. That’s what I recognized when I creating the model.Lots of time I wasted was because of the small mistakes. This was also the reason my module 3 model is not clearly or creatively enough, because of the lack of time. This problem also shown in every module, so what is important to a design student taht shown to me through these modules is, carefulness and patience is enough, and the time management is important as well. Although some improvements of my software using skills also shown to me.But, these are still what I have to improve and pay more attention from now on, For better projects and creations in the future.
Photoshop skills I have improved in module 4 (examples) the photos I have done are more neat and clean WORLD 28-10
