Elmfield Activities Sunday Morning Worship Services are held every week from 10.30am - 12.00 noon. During the service, often enhanced by video clips relevant to the theme of the day, Communion is celebrated. Children leave the service after about 25 minutes for God’z Zone (4+ to 10+) and Revive (for 11+ age). A crèche is available. On 2nd Sundays the Invitation Service (10.30 to 11.30) will enable all age groups to enjoy singing, fun activities and a short talk followed by refreshments and then lunch. Evening services at 6.30pm involve talks and meditations called ‘Sacred Space’. On the 1st Sunday the Youth group is responsible for arranging the service. On the 2nd Sunday of the month we celebrate Communion during the service. Refreshments are served from 6.00pm. We do not meet on a 5th Sunday evening of a month. Everyone is welcome to attend any of these services.

Pastor’s Pitch - Hot Cross Buns Have you eaten your first hot cross bun yet? Although hot cross buns arrive in the supermarkets shortly after Christmas, the cross is at the centre of the Easter story. On Good Friday, two days before Easter Sunday, we commemorate the death of Jesus on a cross. Despite all the festivities surrounding Christmas, Easter is the most important festival for Christians. Jesus was born (Christmas) to die. Why do we celebrate the day that Jesus died? Simply because by dying on the cross, Jesus, who had led a perfect life, gave His life for you and me, paying the penalty of death on behalf of everyone who has done wrong. The Easter message is one of great rejoicing. On Easter Sunday, we celebrate the fact that Jesus who had died on Good Friday actually rose from the dead and proves that Jesus has power over sin and death and that is why billions of Christians across the world follow Jesus, as their Saviour. Wishing you a joyful Easter. Nick Addington. Pastor, Elmfield Church
