AIPC AEROPUERTO INTERNACIONAL DE PUNTA CANA

Punta Cana se ha convertido en una marca país, la más reconocida en el mundo. Su historia inicia en 1969, cuando un grupo de inversionistas estadounidenses encabezado por Ted Kheel y el empresario dominicano Frank R. Rainieri se unieron para crear una comunidad turística que respetara el hábitat natural, y que proporcionara a los visitantes una experiencia vacacional de clase mundial. Luego de ocho años, Kheel y Rainieri logran la autorización de la construcción del primer aeropuerto internacional privado del mundo, que inicia sus operaciones el 17 de diciembre de 1983. Para su primer año recibió un total de 2,976 pasajeros. Treinta y tres años más tarde, es el aeropuerto más transitado del país, recibiendo el 66.63% de los viajeros que visita el país, y con conexiones directas a más de 98 ciudades de Estados Unidos, Canadá, Latinoamérica, Europa, Asia y el Caribe, a través de unas 60 aerolíneas. En mayo del 2015 obtuvo la pre calificación para operar vuelos de Estados Unidos como si fuera una terminal doméstica, permitiendo a los pasajeros que sean pre chequeados antes de viajar a Norteamérica. Rainieri got together to form a tourist community dedicated to respecting the natural habitat while giving visitors a world class vacational experience After eight years Kheel and Rainieri secured the authorization for the construction of the world’s first private international airport. The airport initiates operations on the 17 of december, 1983. During the first year it received a total of 2,976 passengers. Thirty three years later it is the busiest airport of the country, receiving 66.63% of the visitors to the Dominican Republic with direct connections to over 98 cities in the United States and Canada, Latin America, Europe, Asia and the Caribbean and serviced by some 60 airlines. On May of 2015 it obained the prequalification to operate flights from the United States as if it were a home terminal allowing passengers to precheck in before boarding for North America.

Nuevo salón VIP del AIPC

El Aeropuerto Internacional de Punta Cana (AIPC) abre las puertas de su nuevo salón VIP que incluye una piscina infinita con vista a la pista de aterrizaje, diseñada por el arquitecto Antonio Segundo Imbert. El aeropuerto continúa su expansión, en los últimos cinco años ha pasado de la construcción de una segunda pista de aterrizaje a la última construcción de un nuevo edificio de la terminal, para ofrecer a los viajeros nacionales e internacionales servicios innovadores y excelentes durante su trayecto. El AIPC se convirtió en el primero del Caribe en tener una piscina en una terminal aeroportuaria con vista a la pista de aterrizaje. "Nos esforzamos todos los días para ofrecer una experiencia única a todos los viajeros que visitan el Aeropuerto Internacional de Punta Cana", dijo Frank Elías Rainieri, director del AIPC. "Estamos encantados de ofrecer a nuestros visitantes una oportunidad única de divertirse mientras esperan su vuelo", agrega. El salón VIP está disponible para los propietarios de Puntacana Resort & Club, los pasajeros que compren el servicio VIP, los titulares de tarjetas Priority, Dragon, Lounge Pass y lounge, así como los pasajeros de Primera y Clase Ejecutiva. The Punta Cana International Airport (AIPC) opens the doors of its new VIP lounge that includes an infinity pool overlooking the runway, designed by architect Antonio Segundo Imbert. The airport continues its expansion, in the last five years it has gone from the construction of a second runway to the last construction of a new terminal building, to offer national and international travelers innovative and excellent services during their journey. The AIPC became the first in the Caribbean to have a pool in an airport terminal overlooking the airstrip. "We strive every day to offer a unique experience to all travelers who visit the Punta Cana International Airport," said Frank Elias Rainieri, director of the AIPC. "We are delighted to offer our visitors a unique opportunity to have fun while waiting for their flight," he adds. The VIP lounge is available to the owners of Puntacana Resort & Club, passengers who purchase the VIP service, Priority, Dragon, Lounge Pass and lounge cardholders, as well as First and Business Class passengers.
