The Magazine About Us The Elyi Magazine is an independently owned, full colour, A5 magazine serving the Ely area. Owner, Bridget Hickish lives in the city and is active within the community. She knows it well and is committed to doing her part to help Ely maintain its individual character and culture, through the community pages and independent business features.
Keep it Local The Elyi actively promotes a ‘shop local’ ethos and is committed to helping local businesses, individuals, charities and community groups by publicising and celebrating their achievements in the magazine.

The magazine has helped to promote many new initiatives in the city with articles and events listings, supporting the first Ely Hero Awards in 2017, the Happy cafe and extra Ely Markets. The magazine features large national charities right down to individual fundraising achievements of local Ely people. Editorial
The Elyi Magazine brings together local business and community information in one publication. Features include articles of local interest exploring local history, places and events as well as highlighting social activities and good causes in the area. The style is upbeat and celebratory.
Over 120 groups currently update the magazine with regular meetings and events. We have regular contributions from the current Mayor, current MP, Ely Cathedral, Ely Maltings, Babylon Gallery, Ely Library, Ely Museum and many local charities and community groups.
We love Ely and the magazine seeks to reflect the rich cultural and historic nature of the city and surrounding area. We have good community involvement with local people engaging online and also sending in information and articles of local interest.
We also offer promotional opportunities for local businesses with generous editorial options in our advertising packages. We have a ‘shop local’ ethos and actively seek to support small and local businesses with positive advertorial to supplement advertising.
