Hey I’m Emma...

I’m a highly creative designer and illustrator, powered by sweet treats and inspired by travel, typography and nature.

Having primarily worked on licenced greetings products for major retailers, and creation of visual communication across a range of platforms - I’m very experienced in working on innovative, trend-led designs from inital concept through to final production. I have a solid understanding of printing/artworking processes, working to brand guidelines and design approval stages.

With a strong commercial awareness, a versatile style and am always eager to broaden my creative abilites. I love collborating with others and am excited and passionate to tackle any new design challenge that comes my way.

The thing that makes me most happy (besides sunshine and chocolate :)) is creating compelling and engaging designs that bring smiles and joy!

My role as Designer within the Marketing team for job board CV-Library has given me a breadth of experience in creating engaging visuals for both online and offline communications while ensuring corporate brand guidelines are adhered to.

I collaborated with teams across the business create a wide range of artwork which ranged from outdoor advertising to the company christmas card. I am very familiar in working on varied projects such as new brand identity development, social media posts and event collateral within a fast paced environment.

Licensed greetings

Whist working for Gemma International, I was fortunate to have worked in a busy design studio team in which I created a large variety of designs, prints and packaging for some much loved childrens brands and licenced products. This has given me a strong knowledge of designing innovative products while adhering to brand guidelines and styleguides. Excellent communication with licensors and my team was key to ensure that projects progressed smoothly through approval stages to production.

In addition to licensed ranges, I also created generic designs and own brand ranges. I was proud to be lead designer for ‘Little Thoughts’ and ‘Thumblebee which were created to fill gaps in the market and were popular with retailers.

I love to illustrate quirky creatures and have a particular partiality for a marsuipal or two!

Since having a small person of my own, I have been inspired to rekindle my passion for creating my own illustrations, patterns and hand lettering. I have recently started working on new designs for nursery prints, posters and milestone cards. I love to work on this as much as possible in my spare time.
