Raising Godly Children in Godless Times Exodus 2:1-2:10 1.Now a man of the house of Levi married a Levite woman, 2.and she became pregnant and gave birth to a son. When she saw that he was a fine child, she hid him for three months. 3. But when she could hide him no longer, she got a papyrus basket for him and coated it with Henry Nelson tar and pitch. Then she placed the child in it and put it among the reeds along the bank of the Nile. 4. His sister stood at a distance to see what would happen to him. 5 Then Pharaoh's daughter went down to the Nile to bathe, and her attendants were walking along the river bank. She saw the basket among the reeds and sent her slave girl to get it. 6. She opened it and saw the baby. He was crying, and she felt sorry for him. "This is one of the Hebrew babies," she said.7.Then his sister asked Pharaoh's daughter, "Shall I go and get one of the Hebrew women to nurse the baby for you?" 8 "Yes, go," she answered. And the girl went and got the baby's mother. 9 Pharaoh's daughter said to her, "Take this baby and nurse him for me, and I will pay you." So the woman took the baby and nursed him. 10 When the child grew
older, she took him to Pharaoh's daughter and he became her son. She named him Moses, saying, "I drew him out of the water." These days some mothers and fathers wonder whether anything they do is working to raise their children. Not only do we face financial insecurity, there is a moral crisis of monumental proportions, where people define their own morality, and our children are more confused than ever about what is right and wrong. The question is: How do you raise kids in times like these? How do we raise secure children in times of insecurity? How do we raise Godly children in godless times? Well, there is a mother in the Bible who did just that. Her country’s ruler had just adopted a program of infanticide to eliminate her entire race. They were slaves in a foreign land, and the king had decreed that every baby boy be thrown into the river. Those were scary times. And yet, a slave mother found a way to raise a son whose impact on this world is still being felt today nearly 3500 years later. How did she do it? Exodus 2:1-2 says, Now a man of the house of Levi married a Levite woman, and she became pregnant and gave birth to a son. When she saw that he was a fine child, she hid him for three months. Amen! Despite the king’s decree, and at the risk of her own life, she hid her baby boy for three months. Now, the Hebrew word for “hid sug-
gests the hiding of treasure. In other words, the boy’s mother “treasured her son. She was going to give him every opportunity to survive and thrive even if it meant losing her own life. That is what we must do if we want to raise godly children in a godless age. We must treasure our children. We must value them more than a bigger house, more than a more affluent life, more than even our own lives. Now, you are not often called upon to give your lives for your children all at once. You are, more often than not, called upon to give your lives for our children in little pieces at a time. Rather than taking that 2nd job so you can get a nicer car, you invest that time to listen to a child, to play with a child, or to be there when they hit their first home run. Recently, Joel my youngest son now in college, said to me, “I’m glad you were there for my football games, my basketball games and my track meets. Some of my friends in school did not have that, and I feel sorry for them. You see, a child needs to feel treasured if he or she is going to thrive in a world that just wants to knock them down. My son felt valued. He felt treasured. That is what our children need if they’re going to survive and thrive in an uncertain world. If we want to raise godly children in a godless age, then 1st of all, we must treasure our children. 2nd, You must care for your children. You
must provide for their well-being and do what we can to protect them. That is what the mother in Exodus 2:3, “But when she could hide him no longer, she got a papyrus basket for him and coated it with tar and pitch. Then she placed the child in it and put it among the reeds along the bank of the Nile. The king had dictated that all baby boys be thrown into the Nile River. Well, that’s exactly what this clever mother did. Only, she did it in such a way as to ensure his wellbeing, not his death. Exodus 2:7 “Then his sister, the baby’s sister asked Pharaoh’s daughter, “Shall I go and get one of the Hebrew women to nurse the baby for you? Exodus 2:8 “Yes, go, she answered. And the girl went and got the baby’s mother. As planned. No doubt, the mother had told her daughter what to do when someone found the basket. Now, she can legally care for her own son and even get paid for it! God is certainly at work here, but so is mom. She did everything she could to prepare for her child’s well-being. That is what mothers must do today. A famous mother once said, “If it was going to be easy to raise kids, it never would have started with something called labor. It takes a lot of hard work to be a good mother, but it is worth it. Are you there to hold a child’s hand? I hope so, because if you are going to raise godly chil-

Whose History? State Board of Education to debate social studies standards
By Imani Evans Special to Texas Publishers Association The never-ending battle over historical memory has become a high-profile tableau in Texas. On May 21, the 15-member State Board of Education will be making its final vote on revised social studies standards that will largely determine what students will be taught about U.S. history—including such hotly contested issues as civil rights, the Great Society, anticommunism, and the separation of church and state—for the next 10 years. What has made this round of revisions a national story is the unabashed efforts of the seven-member bloc of Republicans on the Board to rewrite history with a decidedly conservative spin. “[The proposed standards] serve a two-fold purpose,” said Texas NAACP President Gary Bledsoe. “One is to minimize Blacks and Latinos, their accomplishments, their efforts, even suggesting that the successes that minorities have had is a result of white benevolence rather than minority agitation.” “The other part is that what they’re proposing would brainwash students. They’re adopting a curriculum that would teach individuals that the Republican philosophy is the proper philosophy in that they should become Republican.” The NAACP has been one among a handful of organizations—others include LULAC (League of United Latin American Citizens), the National Alliance for Education, and the American G.I. Forum—fighting a rear guard action against the impending
changes through impassioned testimony at Board hearings and efforts to mobilize their members statewide. When implemented, the standards will dictate to textbook publishers what their books must contain in order to be adopted in the huge Texas market. And as far as textbooks are concerned, what happens in Texas doesn’t stay in Texas. Since Texas is one of a few states that purchases textbooks as a state rather than leaving it up to local districts (and the secondlargest after California), there is a strong economic incentive for publishers to skew the content of their books—even those that will be sold in other states— toward what will find favor in the Lone Star State. The process began in January with the assignment of each grade level to teams of writers comprised mainly of subject matter experts. Once it began to appear, however, that the writing teams’ work would not sufficiently conform to the wishes of the conservative bloc, the faction, led by Don McLeroy of Bryan-College Station, began to take a more active role in shaping the final product. McLeroy, elected to the Board in 1998 and serving as chair from July 2007 until May 2009, describes his mission as one of advocating for “accurate, balanced, and unbiased” history, even as he allows that people may respectfully disagree on what counts as “accurate” history. However, in a quote given in a recent article in Washington Monthly, McLeroy is less coy about what

Mothers: What Would We Do Without Them? By: Lola Searcy This coming Sunday, May 9th Mothers all over the United States, will celebrate Mother’s Day. Did you ever wonder when and where this Mother’s Day tradition begins? Well, I’m glad you asked. Here is a brief history of the tradition of Mother’s Day in the United States of America.

In the United States Mother’s Day is celebrated on the second Sunday in May. The First observance of Mother’s Day was in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1907, it is based on suggestions by Julia Ward Howe in 1872 and Anna Jarvis in 1907. Although it wasn’t celebrated in the U.S. until 1908, there were days honoring mothers even in the days of ancient Greece. In those days, however, it was Rhea, the Mother of the gods that was given honor. In the U.S., in 1908 Anna Jarvis, from Grafton, West Virginia, began a campaign to establish a national Mother’s Day. Jarvis persuaded her mother’s church in Grafton, West Virginia to celebrate Mother’s Day on the anniversary of her mother’s death. A memorial service was held there on May 10, 1908, and in Philadelphia the following year where Jarvis moved.

Jarvis and others began a letter-writing campaign to ministers, businessmen, and politicians in their quest to establish a national Mother’s Day. They were successful. In 1914, President Woodrow Wilson made the official announcement proclaiming Mother’s Day a national

Many other countries of the world celebrate their own Mother’s Day at different times throughout the year. Denmark, Finland, Italy, Turkey, Australia and Belgium celebrate Mother’s Day on the second Sunday in May, as in the United States. So, when I started to write this article, I started to think about all the things that make mothers special. I started to think about all the things my mother has shared with me over the years. Debate, Continued from Page 3 he himself considers unbiased history: "But we are a Christian nation founded on Christian principles. The way I evaluate history textbooks is first I see how they cover Christianity and Israel. Then I see how they treat Ronald Reagan–he needs to get credit for saving the world from communism and for the good economy over the last twenty years because he lowered taxes." Among the tangible results of the McLeroy view of history, according to critics: a retelling of the story of civil rights as being less about minority struggle and more about the generosity of whites; relegation of Thomas Jefferson to the margins because of his views on church-state separation; an attempt to rehabilitate the infamous Senator Joseph McCarthy; and inclusion of language alluding to the “unintended consequences” of LBJ’s Great Society. “These subjective, biased revisions turn the very notion of civil rights on its head, ignoring the clear historical record of organizing by women and ethnic minorities to gain equal rights in the face of majority opposition,” said the NAFE in a letter to the Board. “It would be an insult to those Americans who sacrificed so much–in some cases, their lives–for the cause of civil rights to present this skewed view of history in our public school class-
rooms.” Amendments to the curriculum proposed by the Board’s minority members such as Mavis B. Knight of Dallas and Latina Mary Helen Berlanga have been repeatedly stymied by party-line votes, leading Knight to charge the Board’s conservative members with subordinating history to their own ideological agenda. Berlanga’s unsuccessful effort to increase the number of Latino role models in the curriculum reportedly led her to storm out of the Board’s March 12 meeting. “What is at stake is that our youth are going to be put so far behind the curve when we allow the [Board] to record as they would like it to have been rather than the way it was,” said San Antonio NAACP president Marvinette Smith, a co-signer of the NAFE letter. In theory, textbook publishers could produce one textbook for Texas, and another for everyone else. But this usually proves too costly in practice. And California, the one state large enough— and liberal enough—to counterbalance Texas, has put off purchasing new textbooks until 2014 because of its budget woes. In other words, what happens on May 21 will likely make a large—and irreversible—splash in the contentious waters of history teaching in Texas and beyond.

Let’s talk about “Family Prayer” Family prayer plays an important part in our community as well as in the home. The goal of the home will produce great worth in our communities such Pastor as, our church, Clarence schools and business Henderson communities. The majority of Christian parents sadly overlook the necessity and the advantage of prayer in the home. Much of our juvenile delinquency and the corruption of the family life in our nation are due to neglect of our family alter. We can clearly see the retribution Jeremiah mentions when he says: “Pour out thy anger upon the families that call not on thy name.” (Jeremiah 10:25)

New Every Morning God loved us so much that He gave His Son as a sacrifice for our sin, that through faith we might be brought back into a full and intimate relationship with our Heavenly Father for all eternity. I think we often forget the magnitude of this love: we were dead and He provided us a way to live! God has expressed His absolute love and c o m p a s s i o n through the forgiveness found in Jesus Christ. This forgiveGeraldine ness is total and Davidson-Hooker complete for those who believe. When we place our trust in Jesus, we are washed clean - we become "a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come" (2 Corinthians 5:17). And we continue to be washed clean "every morning." We all have days when our sinful nature wins a battle and we stumble. We have a day when our anger, pride, fear, or lust is brought to the surface and we "do what we do not want to do" (Romans 7:16). We may need to seek forgiveness and earn back trust from those we've hurt, but God's forgiveness and love is free for the asking; "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins" (1 John 1:9). We may lose some of the battles, but through Jesus, the war has been won. Since we have been washed clean, and continue to be washed clean, we must stop walking as though we are still soiled. We are children of God and in the process of being conformed to the likeness of His Son. This process of growth and maturity - the process of victorious transformation must continue each and every morning. We must shed the heavy burdens of past failures (and the fear of future disappointments) and walk in the freshness of His forgiveness. Is our relationship with God fresh and new? Do we still comprehend the magnitude of love encompassed in the gift of forgiveness? Or have we grown complacent and cold? When the last time was our love for God was so fresh on our heart that we couldn't help but say THANK YOU!? We are invited to a relationship with our Heavenly Father; an intimate relationship which involves loving and being loved; a relationship which allows us to walk in victory for His glory and to be guided by the power of His Spirit. Let's give Him our all and receive His all in return. Let's rise up in His strength and determine to make our relationship of love new every morning.

Children, Continued from Page 2 dren in godless times, then 1st, we must treasure our children; 2nd, you must care for our children. And 3rd, you must teach your children. You must instruct our children in the basic principles of God’s word. You must train them to follow the god of their fathers and mothers. Mothers teach their children so much through life. One man said, "My mother taught me to stand firm: "You will sit there until all that spinach is finished." My mother taught me contortions: "Have you seen the dirt on the back of your neck?" My mother taught me about weather: "Looks as if a tornado swept through your room." My mother taught me the circle of life: "I brought you into this world, and I can take you out." My mother taught me about behavior programming: "Stop acting like your father!" My mother taught me about envy: "There are millions of less fortunate children who do not have parents like yours!" Mothers teach their children so much. But we must not neglect to teach them to know God. We must not wait to begin their spiritual training. Like the little boy in Exodus 2, while children are still nursing, they can learn so much that will carry them through well into their adult years. Several mothers once gathered to discuss at what age they should begin to train their children. One said, “I think you should begin at three.” Then an old, gray-haired mother rose to her feet and said, “I will tell you when you ought to begin. Twenty years before the birth of the child. Give it a good mother, and then you need
not worry about its training.” How right she is! More is caught than taught anyway. Children do not listen to what you say as much as they see what we do. So first of all, set a good example for your children. “An ounce of mother is worth a pound of clergy.” If you want to raise godly children in godless times, 1st, you must treasure your children; 2nd, you must care for your children; and 3rd, you must teach your children. Finally, you must release them into the Lord’s care. At some point, you must let your children go and you must trust god to guide and direct them. That is what the mother in Exodus 2 did. Exodus 2:10 says, “When the child grew older, she took him to Pharaoh’s daughter and he became her son. So she called his name Moses. Moses saying, “Because I drew him out of the water.” Amen! Imagine what went through that mother’s heart when she turned her two or three-yearold boy over to Pharaoh’s daughter. He had just been weaned, and now he goes to live in a stranger’s home, the home of a foreigner, and the home of one of her oppressors. The Egyptian woman names the boy, because he belongs to her now. The Hebrew mother no longer has any control. But God is in control. In fact, He had been in control all along. He arranged for Pharaoh’s daughter to take a bath that morning. He arranged for Pharaoh’s daughter to find the basket. He arranged for Pharaoh’s daughter to pity the boy. Now, God is arranging to train Moses to lead a great nation.
Do you know what God was doing here? He was preparing Moses to lead a great nation not the Egyptians, but the Hebrews. Through Hatshepsut, God prepared Moses to organize and lead a nation of 2 million Jews from Egypt to the Promised Land. But in order for that to happen, Moses’ mother had to let him go. Moses’ mother had to release him into God’s care. That is what you must do with your children, as well. There comes a point where you must literally let them go; you must release them no longer under your control, so they can be all that God wants them to be. You see, when parents hang on to their children too long, it never works out. When parents try to dominate and control their children, especially when they are young adults, it always gets ugly. So, more than anything, at the appropriate time, let your children go. Release them into God’s care, so God can have His way with them. Children grow up to become responsible young adults, who must choose their own way. But I can almost guarantee that if you try to control and manipulate our children, they WILL rebel. It is only when you let them go, it’s only when you release them to God’s care, that they are free to follow God’s leading if they so choose. Mother’s If you want to raise godly children in godless times, you must treasure them; you must care for them; you must teach them; and finally, you must release them into God’s care. Happy Mother’s Day! Amen!
Mothers, Continued from Page 4 extension cords, switches (the something growing that will stop all that) in our house. She still says that today! I am glad my parents, my Mother insisted that I work in Church no matter how old I am. I have always participated in some form or fashion on God’s program. I still do it today! I’ll sing on the Easter program; the Christmas program on whatever program because serving the Lord is paying off right now! My word is my bond is the reason I stay up late working on articles and assignments! And lastly one of the things she told me that I will surely never, ever forget is there is nobody like Jesus. So, this Sunday, May 9th many of us will sit down to a home cooked meal, some take their Mother out to her favorite restaurant (cook for your Mother, don’t take her to a restaurant, unless you can’t cook); our family’s favorite restaurant is our Mother’s kitchen. Some of you will take her shopping and buy her something really nice. Whatever you do this Mother’s Day, if you are blessed to have a Mother like I have, (that’s her on the picture) take time to say, “Thank you” to show and tell her just how much you Love her. I remember as a child, I bought my Mother this picture frame with the inscription on it, “God could not be everywhere so he created Mothers.” We all know that is not true, but who better to fill in for him?! So, to answer the question: Mothers: What would we do without them? NOTHING! Happy Mother’s Day to all of our Mothers from Dr. William “Bill” Blair and the entire Elite News Staff! Barber Shop Sports Talk with Leon Simon The talk around the Barber shop and every where else this week has been prior to the NFL draft the Miami Dolphins Jeff Ireland ask Dez Bryant If his mother was a prostitute. I do not intent to drag this thing out any longer, but I do wish to explain some procedures so you can make a decision as to the necessity of the question. During my coaching days with the Redbird Raiders various coach would come to me and ask about athletes that they had interest in or athletes that they thought I would assist them in signing. I have had coaches from about every major college in the country talk to me at one time or another about young men I coached or young men I coached against. Most of these were college coaches. I’ve gone to basketball games, lunch , dinner, with and without parents. The point I’m making is as far back as little league these coaches go back to get a read on these young men. An believe me they will never ask a kid on a football team or an applicant on a job a question and depend on the subject in question for the answer. Also do you think there is a question that Troy Aikman could have answered that would have made the Cowboys not draft him number one. Last year it was said that had Sam Bradford left the university of Oklahoma his Junior year he would have had a chance to be the NFL number one pick. He came back his senior year and was blessed to be the number one anyway. At the beginning of his senior year he wrecked his shoulder against Texas yet he rehabbed it and got that distinction anyway. If there’s not a question that would change a teams mind about a kid, why would you embarrass him
with a question that you could have asked his little league coach, his high school coach, his college coach ,or even his mother or father themselves. If being Walter Peytons son didn’t help his son get into the NFL, what my mother did for a living should have nothing to do with keeping me out of them league. Leon Simon Adam packman Jones is suppose to sign with the Cincinnati Bengal today, the Pittsburgh Steelers refuse to trade Ben Roethlisburger, Even the Dolphins themselves sign Brandon Marshall all of these guys have big question in there personal past yet their ability to play keeps them in the game. So what does what their parents do or not do hurt or help. There is another school of thought if this line of questioning has any proven value. Lets take this a little farther. Since Detroit, Washington, Atlanta, Oakland and maybe Baltimore are predominantly black cities have there ever been a question pose to a white player from Alabama.” Have your parents ever been involved in bombing Little black Sunday school classes. If they’re from Mississippi have you asked any of them that could if drafted by Detroit Lions did any ancestors have a problem with Medger Evers or Emmitt Teal. I thought Jeff Ireland was apretty good guy now I think he should be fired, or whoever gave him that question.
Local Dallas Native, Chief David Brown Sworn in as Dallas’ Next Chief of Police By Jordan Blair On Tuesday, May 4, 2010, at a ceremony held at the Jack Evans Police Headquarters, David Brown was sworn in as Dallas’ 28th police chief. Brown has been with the city's police force for 26 years. David Brown, an Oak Cliff native, joined the department in August 1983. He became lieutenant in 1999, and was then promoted in 2004 by Chief Kunkle to deputy chief. Brown became Kunkle's second-incommand in 2005. Kunkle announced his retirement in November 2009. City officials say that during Kunkle's tenure, Dallas' violent crime rate fell by 32 percent and the department added 700 officers. Brown’s family members, friends and City leaders looked on as the oath of office was administered by retired Judge Larry Baraka. Afterwards, Brown kissed his wife, Cedonia Brown, who is currently a Dallas police Sergeant. Brown is a native of Dallas who had this to say, "I'm very proud. I can't say enough about how much I love this city, having been born and raised. And the reason I went into policing was because of my neighborhood's deterioration. This will be the safest city in the country. To the officers

in the department, I commit my passion to you; I commit my respect to you. To the command staff, I will support you, encourage you, lead and guide you to this excellence in policing that I speak of." Brown is a 1979 graduate of South Oak Cliff High School. It is expected that Brown's second-incommand, Charles Cato, is expected to be Assistant Chief. Cato has been on the force since 1988, and is currently the head of homeland security. That will make him the highest-ranking Latino in the department.

Rollin With A Brotha’ SMOKING KEVAN BROWNING SPECIAL TO THE ELITE NEWS
Welcome to tha weekend, baaaaaby! Let's start this weeks column off right! I threw and hosted many a party while doing local Radio from 1990-2005 here in Dallas! We set it off from Beamers, to Champagne, to Club 220, to Fat Sally's, Joey's East, to The Lexington Of Turtle Creek, Kevan to GiGi's to Blackberries, to... Well you get the idea, Browning lol... This past Friday I attended the best party I've been to, since my own B'Day party at age 5 or 6... That's where Tony Gatewood ripped the string out of my talking horse, "Blaze"... Blaze by the way, never uttered another whinney, lol! This incredible throwdown happened at the home and for the Birthday of Elite News publisher, Jordan Blair! Oh, my goodness, what a night! The affair started at 8P and I was worried that the event would be over by the time (11:30-12A) I was able to make it! Jordan set my mind at ease, lol.. saying "The party won't stop til 1 or 2 in the Morning! The first thing I noticed was that the street was full for half a block on both sides! As Jordan Blair soon as we walked thru the door, you could feel the vibe, thanks in part to the Brim Brothers Band (Bass and lead guitars, key board, drummer, soloist) that was funkin a mean groove live from Jordan's LIVING ROOM! The Brim Brothers must have jammed for 90 minutes non stop, at least! It was one of those once in a lifetime nights great grooves, people and attitude, Like Whoa! As one of Jordan's sisters said, "This is the most fabulous party"! It was just what I needed, as I was still reeling from the Mav's loss! Halle Berry is in break up mode with her Canadian lover and

baby daddy! Hmmmm, Johnnie Taylor said it's "cheaper to keep her", but no one seems to feel that way about Halle... Dave Justice, Wesley Snipes, Eric Benet, Hmmm? Halle is still fine in her early 40's , but the 10 year age difference was pointed out by her ex-Gabriel, as a big reason for the split! Speaking of age, Halle is out as "Storm" in the 2011 X-Men flick, "X-Men: First Class"... The rumored replacement? None other than that cute as a button Megan Good! Halle is still hot, but playing a late teen or Megan Good early 20 something is a bit of a stretch! Now, back to relationships.... My favorite nite of TV is Sunday! VH-1 has Brandy and Ray J., Shaunie O'Neals "Basketball Wives and TLC's Chili in back to back to back shows... I have a candidate for Basketball Wives, read on... Gabrielle Union is firing back at claims made in a lawsuit by the soon-to-be ex-wife of her alleged boyfriend Dwayne Wade. Siohvaughn Wade sued Union on behalf of the former couple's two sons, aged 8 and 2, claiming the film and TV star has engaged in "extreme and outrageous conduct" with Wade in front of the kids, including acts of "sexual foreplay" in public. A spokesperson for Union has rejected the allegations and apologized to the court system for having to deal "with erroneous claims when there are real victims who should be receiving the legal attention they need." Now that's VH-1 worthy! Happy Birthday to YOU and Celeb's this week: Willie Mays is 79, Mike Myers 47 and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is 38! NOTES FROM UNION HOPE “A Faithful Community” Our church school lesson was “A faithful community” Col.1:1-14. We quickly noticed the humility of Paul in addressing this church; he refers to Timothy his son in ministry as “brother” not the preacher, the teacher, the theologian, the Eld. Lloyd administrator, but “the T. Morgan brother” and the church at Colosse as faithful “brothers”. Paul realized that as partakers of the grace of God we are all brothers, and that there is no such thing as a self-made man. Paul would argue that that a man is not what he made himself, there are only men whom God has made, and men who have refused to allow God to make them. The fundamental necessity for Christian service or office is to possess and practicing brotherliness. With all that was happening in
www.dfwelitenews.com
society around this church they remained faithful to the gospel that had been committed to them. Are we in this present society faithful to the gospel as it was committed to the saints? We know there is plenty of preaching but how much of it is gospel. Our message Sunday was delivered by pastor Eld.L.T.Morgan from the subject “Redemption: what it is, why we need it, how much does it cost” Heb.9:11-12. Because we all came into the world as slaves to sin because of Adam’s transgression we needed someone to “Redeem” us from this slavery. Many today don’t believe that we are born sinners, that we are God formed; they would rather believe that we are related to monkeys. But those that will acknowledge it know that you don’t have to teach babies to lie, it comes natural because of their sin nature. But thank’ be to God who sent his only begotten Son into the world to redeem us by his own blood. THANK GOD FOR CALVARY!!

"There is an open gate at the end of the road. Through which each must go alone and there in light we cannot see, Our Father claims His own. Beyond the gate, Kenneth finds happiness and rest. There is no greater comfort than the thought that a loving God knows best." The Homegoing Celebration for the Life of Kenneth Ray Sthran will be on Thursday, May 6, 2010 12:30 P.M. at Greater Mt.
