Behind The Wheel With THE KING (Arthur Prayther)
2016 ACURA MDX-AWD Fort Worth, Texas-Shortly after plenty of rain fell in the MetroPlex we made a good solid safe trip to the Big D. We were behind the wheel of the all new 2016 Acura MDX-AWD with advance entertainment and what a trip it turned out to be. As good flowing trip with not that many people on the road allowing us to really make great time. Just a little rain fell on the way back but it wasn’t bad at all. When you take into consideration the way the new MDX performed again I say it was a great
trip. Under the hood is a proven 3.5 Liter SOHC 24-valve Direct Injection VTEC V6 engine with variable cylinder management (VCM). Mileage numbers are reported at 19 MPG in the city and 26 on the highway for the new DMX. This engine produces 290 horsepower and an 8-speed automatic transmission with SH-AWD system made for smooth sailing to say the least. Warranties includes a 6 year/70,000 mile power train
warranty with a 4 year/50,000 mile Limited vehicle warranty and a full tank of fuel. Throw in XM radio including free activation and 3 months free service and complimentary Acuralink standard package for 3 years. With a final assembly point in Lincoln, Alabama this baby is home grown with 65 per cent of its part from the United States and Canada. Both the engine and transmission are American built. Getting a real safe feeling behind the wheel of the new MDX we noted driver and front passenger airbags with Dualstage airbags including knee airbags for driver. Plus driver and front passenger side airbags with smart Vent and side curtain airbags with rollover sensors. The vehicle is loaded with handling features to smooth out the ride. Among them are VSA, EBD and agile handling assist
dynamic braking system with 4wheel independent suspension making all the difference in the world. A power tailgate makes handling cargo a breeze and the new power moon roof with tilt feature gives you the glimpse of the sun when you want it. The interior is enhanced by a multi-view rear camera with dynamic guidelines and an on demand multi-use display touch screen. Let me not forget the push button shifter and 10-way driver seat. Man I’m getting excited just reflecting back on that wonderful trip we had in the new MDX.

Having one of the world finest lane departure devices we’ve seen when you can actually feel the wheel letting you know you are over the line. This is in addition to the symbol on the dash and the flashing lights in the mirrors. On the advance packages the front passenger gets a 10-way power seat as well and the sport seats with perforated premium trimmed leather. We could go on forever about this vehicle. But let me say in closing the entertainment package is outstanding to say the least and all this for an even 58 Grand!

LEXUS INTRODUCES THE NEW NX 300H By King Arthur Prayther A King-Size View Just when you think you have seen it all from Lexus they give you one more to choose from. Fact is these are some of the finest Hybrids in the World. Let just go for a stroll in the new Lexus NX 300h. A 2.5 liter Hybrid 4-cylinder-in-line type engine with 16-valve DOHC VVT-I producing a combined 194 horsepower. Mileage for the new Lexus is 35 miles per gallon in the city and 31 miles per gallon on the highway. This estimates a combined mileage of
around 33 miles per gallon. Keep mind we are talking about 194 horses under this hood when you want power it’s there. The engine the mated with a electronically controlled continuously variable transmission and power rolls to the pavement on P 225/65R17-inch All-Season tires wrapped around a 17- inch Aluminum wheel. Optional 18inch 60 rated tires are available for this baby. When it comes to safety the new Lexus has 8-air bags including cushions and side along with curtains. Yes there is one for your knees as well.
Anti-locking brakes makes stopping this Hybrid just as much fun as driving it. Brake force distribution and brake assist are also on this model. Plenty of interior space with the standing well proven Lexus interior and a higher center of gravity making one feel a lot saver as well. With so many SUV types on the road the Lexus still manages to stand out in a crowd. Sounds are very important to some drivers and the new 8speaker Lexus Display Audio System HD radio with iTunes tagging and Real-Time traffic and weather /USB, iPod MP3
Control Sirius XM Satellite radio with 3-months all access trial subscription included. The steering wheel is tilt/telescopic and the rear seats are manual split reclining and folding features. You can easily deal with
cargo because of the low reaching power tail gate. In closing please allow me to add the linear black shadow wood interior trim really sets it off. A price tag of just over 49 Grand, Not bad!

SCION FR-S WHEN YOU WANT TO GO FAST By King Arthur Prayther A King-Size View When you want to go fast let me suggest the new Scion FR-S because it comes ready to roll. It’s powered by a powerful 2.0 Liter 4-cylinder boxer engine DOHC 16-valve 200 horsepower with dual variable valve timing and with Direct and port injection. We are talking front engine and rear wheel drive here now. A six speed manual transmission helps you get the maximum power from the start. We are talking about 22 miles per gallon in the city and 30 on the highway with a combined mileage of 25 MPG. Keep in mind we are talking about a mini-compact vehicle. The low crawl gives the vehicle a racecar like look and the rear end with bevels off designs with two massive sound-
ing chrome exhaust pipes has Indy written all over it. Once you are behind the wheel you are treated to a racecar like dash and layout and the shifter is close by hand and gears are easy to find. The overall safety rating from the NHTSA is 5-star with even at 5-star rating in roll over even the rear seat rating is 5-star. Those are certainly higher rating than you would expect in a mini-compact under 30 Grand. When you open the rear hatch you are treated to a great deal more truck space that you would expect also. The wide stance is another plus and makes handling much more fun. 17 inch alloy wheels with P215/45R17 tires provides a stable platform for which to roll. The independent McPherson struts up front and double wishbone rear suspension
with torsen limited slip differential levels everything off for smooth sailing even while cornering. Sounds are provided by a
Pioneer 6.1 inch touch screen display audio system with 300 watts AM/FM/CD/HD radio with 8 speakers, USB port with iPod connectively and the
works. In closing please allow me to add the new Scion FR-S has a TRD rear sway bar set to keep in well in line even at high rates of speed!
The Scion FR-S for 2015 ready to go fast!

TEXAS CHILDREN HOSPITAL AND TOYOTA TEAM UP TO IMPROVE CAR SEAT SAFETY IN HOUSTON By King Arthur Prayther A King-Size View Since 2012 Texas Children Hospital has partnered with “Buckle up for Life” a National program from Toyota and Cincinnati Children Hospital to improve Child passenger safety in Houston. The three year grant has worked well as Churches reported data shows that more children are in car seats up from 28 to 56 per cent. It is our hope that the program is renewed so this wonderful project can move forward. Families in need actually received a free car seat as well as the welltrained staff were on hand to properly install them. According to the workers at
Fifth Ward Church of Christ, they actually installed more than 80 over the weekend. Despite a small midst the Texas Children Hospital workers went about their business of installing car seats for the people who lined out in the parking lot of the historic church. First lady Karen Boyd-Smith was on hand and had one installed as well as many others. We want the thank Cortney Read of Allison PR for sending us the email informing us about this wonderful community project. The photos taken by Dr. Victor Keys shows the program in action and we again feel good about program such as this one and certainly would like to know more about them in the future!

NOLAN JAVON DEARBORNE, JR.
SMITH MIDDLE SCHOOL
STUDENT OF THE WEEK By Dr. Victor Keys A King-Size View We are pleased to announce that Nolan Javon Dearborne, Jr. is our Student of the Week. Nolan is a student at Smith Middle School. Nolan is a very good student at school and plays on the football team. When I asked him what position he
played he replied that “I’m a Defensive End”. He went on to say “that our coach told us that the offense may put points on the board, it is the defense that wins the games”. He added that “he loves playing defense mainly because, he’s good and he loves stopping the other team from scoring”. When I asked him about his
THE A-NOTE with Aaron Watson
UNABRIDGED
The dictionary defines “Unabridged” as: A dictionary that has not been reduced size by omission of terms and definitions.
Where are we today when I can say “SMH” (shake my head) on a message and you understood what I meant? And do you really understand what I mean or do you just take the interpretation of what was said and come up with your own conclusions? In the world of instant gratification there is little or no patience to wait for all of anything so we accept a little of everything. This makes us incomplete, and it (even though we won’t admit it) drops our standards from show me to tell me, it’s the promise of “HOPE”. Hope was defined to me on a radio show and it was spoke in this way. “Hope is what you have when you are helpless to change the outcome on your own”. We all have power but your power is inside of your expression and if you don’t think about and act on that expression then no one knows the extent of your power and you seem powerless. When you seem powerless, you begin to wonder why people treat you with disrespect, why people don’t want to deal with you. It has nothing to do with you but in the end it has to do with “Who wants to be with someone lacking expression” which means they lack power.
We have learned to abbreviate our lives and we are told it was for the better. It was sold to us as get your message across faster, spend less time in the kitchen, and love through symbols (Smiley face, I heart you, etc). Now we are confused because “I thought you loved me” because you said heart me on instagram in front of thousands of people. Did we ever ask why you feel that way and how can you prove it or was the hope of having a significant more important? We are confused because I do the best for my children but they are always sick. Did we ask what are the
school’s spirit, he stated that “our school spirit is very high because we have a good school”. He felt that his principal was doing a very good job and that he really enjoyed being a student there. During my interview, I asked him if he could change something in the world what would it be? Nolan replied quickly that “he would change the educational system in the United States”. We added that “we live in the greatest county in the world and we would have the greatest educational system
in the world if we made a few changes”. Nolan suggested that we put more emphasis on music and the fine arts. He informed me that he wanted to be a musician when he grows up and would have preferred to receive more musical training even in elementary school. As we concluded our interview, I asked him if he had to give President Obama a grade, what would it be? Without hesitation, “he replied an A+ and stated that he is a great president”.
side effects of feeding your children out of someone else’s fast food kitchen instead of our own . . . love won’t let you cook your kids food that will harm them (keep in mind ignorance will though).
tence. Being unabridged means that when a friend is in need it doesn’t catch you off guard because something in you just told you to cook a little bit more than what was needed and save a little more money for a rainy day.
So, what do you mean by unabridged? We are that abridged dictionary that has been reduced and has omissions of terms and definitions. Not so long ago being unabridged was playing a board game with your family and friends on a Friday night with milk and homemade cookies that everyone helped make. Being unabridged was eating dinner at the table and asking everyone to tell you how their day was. Being unabridged was never letting those whom looked up to you see you struggle to take care of them, not because the struggle wasn’t real but because you knew that a loved one could feel guilty if they knew the struggle was partially caused by there very exis-
We have gone from showing our friends and family we love them by spending time with them and substituting that with things, made by someone else, that doesn’t truly express how we really feel. The sad thing is maybe we forgot how to feel in a way that connects the human spirit when a story about a stranger fills your soul partly because you know nothing is required from you vs. there was a time when someone needed food, clothing, or shelter you gave all you had without question. The good news is that abridged does not mean it’s gone, it just means that it has been left out.
olan Javon Dearborne, Jr. Student of the Week So, today it’s still in us to take the time out to express our love to our loved ones with a nice hot meal vs. some fast food. It’s still there to read to your loved one a book, a poem, or even bring out the age-old art of the bedtime story. I know what you are thinking, “What if I express myself and it’s not wanted and I’m looked at like I’m crazy?” I will tell you for sure it’s not wanted it is desperately needed. It is the glue that holds a relationship, a parent and a child, and a family together in happiness. If our loved ones are not use to it, don’t get mad at them because they seem a little skeptical. After all, you have been the one holding back. The disconnection lies between what we hear vs. what we know. If we take time to find strength in our expression we will see that we can all be unabridged and be “A Bridge” to reconnect our families, our friends and our communities.

ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
KAYLA GARCIA-KATY By King Arthur Prayther A King-Size View Austin, Texas-The Lady Tigers of Katy softball team won the state’s Class 6A title with a big 3-2 win over Lewisville Lady Farmers. Led by fantastic freshman Kayla Garcia who went 3 for 3 in the title game. Giving Katy a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first Garcia got a RBI with a triple. She tied the game with another RBI in the fourth after Lewisville had gone up 2-1. She had a run scoring double as the Lady Tigers rolled to the title. The talented newcomer added to her stats as she had three putouts, six assists and an unassisted double play to stop an potential Lewisville scoring threat with the bases loaded at the end the top of the third. Head coach Kalum Haack a Sam Houston State University
Graduate says Garcia has hit well all season long. “The way you see Kayla in the game is the same way she is in practice and I don’t recall a pitcher being able to shut her down all year long”. In the state tournament Katy faced some of the top pitchers in the state in Abby Langkamp of the Woodlands and Maribeth Gorsuch of Lewisville. Offense was the key as the Lady Tigers scored 5 or more runs in 32 of their 42 games and finished the season at 36-6. “This feels great, we all have each other backs out there, plus our pitchers did well said Garcia. She went on to say her teammates gave her some great opportunities and put her in some great situations and they were backed up by good pitching as well. With a love for reading in the classroom at Katy, Garcia is
looking at Oklahoma Sooner softball slugger Lauren Chamberlain and that just might be where she winds up. “I used to be a ballerina and in gymnastic when I was younger, I wasn’t very good but I did it“. If given the opportunity Garcia says she would love to work toward World Peace. For the time being the Katy Tigers family can certainly find peace with another state championship.

MEL WAITERS PASSING LEAVES A HOLE IN THE WALL OF CLASSIC SOUTHERN SOUL By King Arthur Prayther A King-Size View San Antonio, Texas more than 1,000 people showed up to pay their respect to the late Classic Southern Soul Artist known for his signature hit “Hole In The Wall”. Mel Waiters passed away on May 28, 2015 after a battle with stomach Cancer. But his memory will live forever in the hearts of his many fans. Born June 25, 1956 in San Antonio, Texas Mel Waiters was a late bloomer with his professional career starting at 18 years of age. He spent some time at Malaco Records in Jackson, Mississippi where he actually did an album with Soul and Blues Legend Ernie Johnson. After several Albums Waiter struck it big with his 2000 hit “Hole In The Wall”, the song got a great deal of play from Funky Larry Jones at KMJQ Magic 102 FM as well as KCOH and KTSU. Following up with several other hits like “I’ve got my Whiskey and “The Smaller the Club The Bigger the Party” and others. Making songs that had a special flare and yet a meaning that people could understand is what made Mel’s songs so special and made him an House Hold name on the Southern Soul Circuit. Realizing he was getting sicker Waiters started doing some testifying on stage. At Dayton, Ohio he took the time to talk about his two older brothers and sang Bobby Womack’s hit song “Harry Hippie” and thank Jesus Christ for his success in the recording industry. Getting a tip from Bobby Marchan in New Orleans Mel released an album called I’m Serious and the expression on his face while he sang kind of set him apart from the rest. On the road as an open-
ing act for the late Marvin Sease and the still going strong Bobby Rush, Waiters made a name for himself in the process and was a mainstay on the Blues and Soul tours! Some where around one month or so before he passed away he called Ernie Johnson in Dallas, Texas and told him he loved him and wished him luck. The two had spent time on the road and it the studio together and kept in touch pretty well. Johnson made the trip to San Antonio for the Home going from Mel and came way touched by all the out pouring of support for the soul singer. As we stated in the opening Waiters passing is certainly leaving a hole in the Wall of Southern Soul music legend!

B.B. KING IS TRULY THE KING OF THE BLUES By King Arthur Prayther A King-Size View Indianola, Mississippi-The true King of the Blues has died leaving the greatest legend of this form of music and entertainment ever in the whole wide world. On May 14, 2015 in the early evening at his Las Vegas home, B B King said good bye to the world and Lucille is now silent. Born Riley B. King to Nora Ella Farr and Albert King on September 16, 1925 in Itta Bena, Mississippi. No one could have image what a great guy this kid would become. Singing gospel songs on street corners and blaring out tunes while picking cotton were pretty good indications. But peeping in a club to see the likes of Count Basie and Charlie Parker, Riley King knew all along what he wanted to do and what would be his place in life. Finally getting enough money to buy a guitar King basically was self taught and had such a flare
for the instrument he found new ways to almost make it talk. As the years went by he would go on to be able to help the guitar designers with ways to create the sound he wanted to hear. His Gibson ES 355 for the most part was what he wanted and he named it Lucille and the rest is history. Songs like “It’s 3 O’clock in the morning (I can’t even close my eyes), She’s Sweet Sixteen, Don’t Answer the Door (for nobody when I’m not at home), Why I sing the Blues” and the incomparable “The Thrill is Gone” just to name a few. For more than 40 years B B King recorded music that will live forever. Right around 1964 Blacks had strayed away from the Blues due
to the start of MoTown and other record labels. So while on the West Coast King noticed most of his audience were whites, but never the less he played his guitar and song the blues. The standing ovation gave the talented performer new hope and he cried all the way back to the stage with tears of joy. A few years later King would travel all over the world singing the blues like no one can. He would visit England and run into the Queen while jogging and yes even the Queen of England knew who B B King was. His song “Better Not Look down (it’s full speed ahead” mention that. For me King lyrics were the key along with the sounds of Lucille. Take for example the song “I like to Live the Life I sing about in my
song“. Really my favorite tune by The King because of those wonderful lyrics. “My song is a serious matter, because it reflect what I feel” and Outside interest should always be forbidden and problems should be solved and never hidden”. Those kind of lyric along with those world famous guitar licks and who can forget the faces he made while performing. Keeping his life real King was married twice and overall fathered a number of children somewhere in the high teens. But through it all he kept his feet on the ground and having witness a black man being castrated and hung for wolf whistling at a white woman, King knew who he was and worked very hard to keep in blackness alive and well. Fact is
he donated very well to Mississippi Valley State University in Itta Bena and did free concerts in the Delta area each year. His final resting place is in the B B King Museum and Delta Interpretive Center which opened in 2008 and houses the library of all of King’s music. Other well known guitar players such as Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana and the great Willie Nelson all wanted to learn from the leader of the guitar playing blues. Thousand of people passed by the open coffin of the legendary Blues singer at Bell Grove MBC in Indianola, Mississippi. Even Sylvan Zingg of Boogie Woogie Pianist came all the way from Switzerland to pay his respect to the King of the Blues.

THE HOMEGOING OF JAMES ‘SKULLY ‘AUSTIN By King Arthur Prayther A King-Size View Some called him the great promoter of all-times and others simply called him Skully. Never the less it is clear that James Clarence Austin made an impact on every one he came in contact with over his lift time. Born December 17, 1949 to Louise and James Austin, Skully went on to graduate from Booker t. Washington high school in 1965. He then enlisted in the United States Army and served during
the Vietnam War. Stationed in heavy engagement areas such as Phu Bai, Chu Lai before his honorable discharge. After starting out from scratch, Austin found a loaner and started his business “Ticket King Leather King” and it grew as the years went by into one of the country’s top sources to buy tickets to big events and offered the finest selections of leathers as well. Meeting Muhammad Ali was another great thing for Austin. It was the former heavyweight Champion that gave him
the nick name Skully. James would go on to work with Leon Isaac Kennedy and play roles in several of his movies including the hit film (Penitentiary). Having a way with people led to Austin being one of the Nation’s top promoters as he worked with some of the best acts of his era. Who else could get back stage and take a picture with the Staples Singers girls and leave
Pop Staples out of the photo? Working with Frankie Beverly and Maze, New Edition Eddie Murphy and many others. Skully also dealt in politics and was credited with helping the campaign that made Bill Clements the Governor of Texas. While walking up to St. John UMC we ran into former
Houston Rocket great Moses Malone. Other well known we spotted at the services were the great David Latin, Jerry Boney and Stretch Campbell. Paul Wright, Willie Baker, Ralph Cooper, Reggie Wells and Wash Allen were also among the large gathering to pay their respect to Skully.

This kid can play, but not as a pitcher he’s an outstanding outfielder. He layed down a great punt and used his speed to get to the base. With plans of attending the UH this fall and further his baseball career Satchel has a big name to follow and it certainly looks like he will be able to get the job done. Working on his bunting in practice the four year starter has kept pace with keeping the name Satchel alive and well. With a love for history in the classroom and looking into business or computer engineering as college majors this kid loves to
fish and listen to music to relax after a hard day on the diamond. In closing this kid is a great student of the game and his coach
Brent Kunefke praised Satchel for having in game smarts and being a team leader as well.

WHAT IS TRUTH: TORMENTED! WARNING.....WARNING.....WARNING Dear reader as always, the purpose of these articles is to seek the TRUTH according to THE WORD, thereby exposing ERROR, for the purpose of saving our souls. We believe this is best done by definitions and the preponderance of scriptures; which is having superior weight, force, importance, or influence of scripture. Again we believe this allows SCRIPTURE to INTERPRET SCRIPTURE, thereby allowing a better understanding on that topic. Again, thank you so much for your interest in the WORD of TRUTH; GRACE and SALVATION; John 17:17-21; Acts 20:29-32; James1:21-25. After all it is our MAP to HEAVEN and away from HELL! Beware of the doctrine of the prudent, concerning HELL! The doctrine that teaches HELL IS ONLY A SEPARATION FROM GOD. If they are right, then hell wouldn’t be all that painful. There are many people on this earth today, that are separated from God through the disobedience and or disbelief of Christ, through his apostles (see Matt.7:13-29; John 17:17-22; Acts 2:41-42; 2Pet.3:1-3; 1John4:5-6; Jude1:17-19) and there are no complaints of pain and suffering. There are even those that say they don’t believe there is a God, and there is no weeping or gnashing of teeth. But, rather they are Dressing well, Driving well, and Living well. Surely, Hell must be more than just separation from God. What if the prudent ones are wrong and Hell is simply what the bible says it is? What a Terrible, Fearful, Judgment in the last Day for the prudent and those that believe them. The Lord warns us of the Prudent / Intelligent when he gave thanks to his Father. That simple spiritual things by his Father’s intent; is hiding from them! Let’s first look at some scriptures dealing with the prudent then, look into the simple word of God to see what He has to say about His Hell. After reading the following scriptures pertaining to the Prudent, the Wise, which is the Intelligent in this world, one might began to think as I have learned to think, Keep it Simple Stupid; in other words, become a fool in this world (1Cor.3:18), so that I might become wise in The Lord. When God hides something who can find it? PLEASE READ: The Prudent, The Intelligent, The Wise In This World. Matt 11:25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because (1)thou hast hid these things from the (2)wise

the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; 28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: 29 That no flesh (2)should glory in his presence. 30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: 31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.(KJV) Definitions: (1)calling-2821 klesis (klay’-sis); an invitation (figuratively): KJV— calling. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. 19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. 20 And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.(KJV) 2 Cor 4:1 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; 2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. 3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light
of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. 5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake. (KJV) Matt 11:25 ... and hast revealed them unto babes. Ref. scripts…. Matt 18:1 At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? 2 And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, 3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. 4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. (KJV) 1 Cor 1:27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; 28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: 29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.(KJV) 2 Cor 10: 8 For though I should boast somewhat more of our authority, which the Lord hath given us for edification, and not for your destruction, I should not be ashamed: 9 That I may not seem as if I would terrify you by letters. 10 For his letters, say they, are weighty and powerful; but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech (1)contemptible. 11 Let such an one think this, that, such as we are in word by letters when we are absent, such will we be also in deed when we are present. (see also the 11th chapter, verses 6&7)(KJV) Definition: (1)contemptible1848 exoutheneo;KJV— contemptible, to despise utterly, least esteemed, set at nought. Phil 3:7 But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. 8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,(KJV) Now let’s read what GOD, through the prophets, Christ and his apostles, has to say in scripture, about His HELL!

Matt 7:19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. 21 ot every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. 24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:(KJV) Luke 16:24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am *tormented in this flame. 25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art *tormented.(KJV) Definition: *tormented-3600 odunao-1)-to cause intense pain 2) to be in anguish, be tormented 2 Pet 2:4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down (to hell,) and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; (to hell, see tartaroo #5020) Definition: of HELL used in THE OLD TESTAMENT; HELL-7585 she’owl (shehole’); or sheol (sheh-ole’); from 7592; Hades or the world of the dead (as if a subterranean retreat), including its accessories and inmates: KJV— grave, hell, pit.sheol, the underworld, grave, Hades, pit a) the underworld, b) Sheol, the Old Testament designation for the abode of the dead 1) the place of no return 3) wicked people sent there for punishment Definitions: of HELL used in THE NEW TESTAMENT. This was originally the valley of Hinnom, south of Jerusalem, where the filth and dead animals of the city were cast out and burned; a fit symbol of the wicked and their future destruction. Remember, the purpose of these articles is to share with you scriptural truths, thereby exposing error by finding through scripture, “What Is Truth?” (John 17:14-17). The alternative which is Eternal Life with the Lord, is what every man wants. But we must suffer (1Pet.4:1-6) to be obedient, here upon this earth as Sojourners, in FEAR (1Pet. 1:17) and as Strangers and Pilgrims, (1Pet. 2:11) keeping
ourselves Unspotted from the World (James 1:27). This then would make us a Peculiar People (1Pet. 2:9), just as our Lord Jesus and those that followed him was. This would also make us the little ones (Luke 6:27-37), (Christians / followers of Christ), loving not the world, neither the things that are in it (John 12:25-26; 1John 2:1516)! For us to hold to the mind that was in Christ Jesus (Philip.2:3-8), it will take much suffering, thereby helping us to cease from SI (1Pet. 4:1&6) and to gain Eternal Life in HEAVE . Now, if we scripturally understand Hell, we should also understand why so many tears were shed by those before us. When is the last time you wept about a suffering lifestyle or a Lost soul? HONORABLE HILLARY RODHAM RECEIVES BARBARA JORDAN LEADERSHIP GOLD MEDALLION Keeping the legacy of Barbara Jordan alive, Texas Southern University played host to former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton as she received the inaugural Barbara Jordan Public-Private Leadership Gold Medallion June 4, in the H&PE Arena. “We are grateful for the vision of our own Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, representing the 18th Congressional District of Texas, the same district represented by the Honorable Barbara C. Jordan – a TSU graduate, to annually honor a woman in the name Barbara Jordan who has reached the highest levels of achievement in any field of human endeavor in the public or private sector,” said TSU President Dr. John Rudley. “The Barbara Jordan Gold Medallion for Public-Private Leadership builds upon TSU’s commitment to our students to expose them to a diverse academic setting and giving them the tools to join the global market place and compete with the world.” Hosted by the Barbara JordanMickey Leland School of Public Affairs, Barbara Jordan Institute for Policy Research, the Thurgood Marshall School of
Law, TSU’s Student Government Association, and United States Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, Clinton was presented the medallion in front of Jordan’s sister Rose McGowan, and the legendary Forensics coach who trained Jordan to be the orator that she was, Dr. Thomas F. Freeman. “Because of Barbara Jordan’s symbolizing leadership I envisioned the creation of this award to provide a national and international platform for honoring women that embodied the principles of leadership and courage,” said Congresswoman Lee. “It is fitting that the inaugural recipient of the Barbara Jordan Gold Medallion is the former First Lady of Arkansas and the United States, U.S. Senator, and Secretary of State: Hillary Rodham Clinton.” In her acceptance speech, Clinton evoked the legacy of Jordan’s crusade for equal voting rights and called for changes to election laws to make it easier to vote. She called for every U.S. citizen to be automatically registered to vote when they turn 18, unless they actively choose to opt out, and backed a new standard of at least 20 days of
early in-person voting in every state, including weekend and evening voting. “We need more elected officials from Houston to Austin to Washington who will follow in
the footsteps of Barbara Jordan and who will fight every day for the rights and opportunities of all Americans and not just those at the top of the ladder. As she [Barbara Jordan] famously reminded us that when the constitution was written it left most
of us here out. But generations of Americans fought, marched, organized and prayed to expand the circle of freedom and opportunity. We should be clearing the way for more people to vote, not putting up every roadblock anyone can imagine,” said Clinton.
