his week we are shining our “On the Block and Making a Difference” spotlight on Rev. Fred Conwright, Sr. Many of our readers may not know him as Pastor Fred Conwright. But he may be more familiar to many of us as one of the owners of Two Podners Restaurant who sports a sailor’s cap whenever he is away from the pulpit. I was curious to get to know the man behind the sailor cap and the mouth-watering meals his staff serves at any one of his restaurants, and the man the congregation at Greater Mt. Hebron Baptist Church calls Pastor. He hails from Ore City, Texas, a small town located in Upshur County, just 13 miles northeast of Gilmer, Texas. He is the oldest of 9 children. He lost his father at the tender age of
