Faith is the foundation Hebrews 11:1-3 Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. By faith we understand that the universe was Henry Nelson formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.
I
n a sermon, a famous pastor spoke of a conversation with a circus trapeze artist. The performer admitted the net underneath was there to keep them from breaking their necks, but added, “The net also keeps us from falling. Imagine there is no net. We would be so nervous that we would be more likely to miss and fall. If there was not a net, we would not dare to do some of the things we do. But because there is a net, we dare to make turns, and once I made three turns thanks to the net!” The pastor made this observation: “We have security in God. When we are sure in his arms, we dare to attempt big things for God. We dare to be holy. We dare to be obedient. We dare, because we know the eternal
arms of God will hold us if we fall.” Faith is all about our confidence in God and His Word. It is at the foundation of our relationship with Him and to our ability to believe Him for our needs. He wants us to put Him to the test-to risk it all-to truly place our trust and confidence in Him to provide as He has said in His Word. “God honors radical, risk-taking faith. When arks are built, lives are saved. When soldiers march, Jerichos tumble. When staffs are raised, seas still open. When a lunch is shared, thousands are fed. And when a garment is touched whether by the hand of an anemic woman in Galilee or by the prayers of a beggar in Bangladesh Jesus stops. He stops and responds.” God will respond to you and me if we will build our lives upon the security of His Word and respond to Him when the Spirit quickens the Word to our hearts and minds. You can respond in faith to God’s Word! You know the power of God as He works in your life! It can happen if you will lay hold on the spiritual truths of your faith. Amen! Faith is the foundation of your reality.“ Faith is the substance of things hoped for.” Your faith has substance. In the Greek, the root word for substance is “stasis” which means, “the place, setting, a standing pillar, upon which other stones are placed.” Faith is not mystical or imaginary; faith is real,
solid, and certain. The world views faith only in terms of the abstract. But for the child of God, faith should be viewed in terms of the concrete. How can faith in an all-sufficient, all-knowing God be anything e l s e ? Your faith has validity. Your faith is validated by the things that you see God has done throughout history and by the things you see Him doing in our world today. Louis H. Evans, Jr. explains, “Your faith does not create reality, but it is based upon the reality of God’s government and power. It is by this faith, turned loose in history by the faithful action of prophets and believers, that God has brought the miracles to bear upon nations and their history.“ Your faith cannot be limited by the unseen. One translation of Hebrews 11:1 reads, “Faith assures us of things we expect and convinces us of the existence of things we cannot see.” “Faith is the act of commitment on the part of the believer, whereas hope is the state of mind which he possesses. On the other hand, things not seen describes generally all that is beyond man’s normal knowledge or powers of comprehension.” Amen! The world will never understand the power of the spiritual realm or the workings of faith. Amen! Christians are empowered by their faith in an all-sufficient God who,
C ity B eat in many cases, works behind the scenes of the natural world. The power of faith manifests itself in at least three (3) ways. “Faith enables us to understand what God does. Faith enables us to see what others cannot see. As a result, faith enables us to do what others cannot do.” Faith is the foundation for a good testimony. “For by it (FAITH) the elders obtained a good testimony.” By faith the “elders” lived a life of obedience. The elders spoken of here refer to those who came before us. Many of those have their lives highlighted here in this chapter. Their faith was revealed in their everyday lives. When it came to faith, their lives spoke for themselves. By faith, men and women were accepted by God. The scripture is teaching us that God accepted these men and women because of their faith not necessarily because of their works. As important as works are, faith is what God has always looked for in His people. Almost all of the great “heroes” of the faith have their failures recorded alongside their triumphs. God did not bless them because they were perfect or because they were super spiritual. He blessed them because they were willing to believe Him and follow where He led. ll roads led to St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church this past week, as Rev. Juan Tolliver, Pastor of The Sensational St. Paul AME Church, and members hosted the 10th Episcopal District North Texas Annual Conference. The Presiding Elder of the Greater Dallas District is Rev. James W. Ford, Dr. Jessica Kendall Ingram is the Episcopal Supervisor, and the Presiding Bishop of the 10th District is the Rt. Reverend Gregory G. M. Ingram. We have great respect, appreciation and honor for our leaders of the 10th Episcopal District, The Bishop and Rt. Rev. Gregory G. M. Ingram and his lovely wife, Rev. Dr. Jessica Kendall Ingram, the Episcopal Supervisor. They had this to say, “During our time of serving the Tenth District many seeds have been planted. All around us we can see evidence of the tremendous growth and development that has taken place in so many areas. Churches have taken on a new dimension and people are excited about the work of the kingdom.” “Every year, God has given us a different theme. They were more than mere words. They have been our marching orders for the work and the ministry. As we enter into our last year of serving the Tenth District, God has given us yet another theme, “The Year of Manifestation.” The Annual Conference is a big deal for the African Methodist Episcopal Church. It’s the end of one conference year and the start of what’s new and exciting to come. During Annual Conference elections are held, business sessions are taking place, the Board of Examiners meet,

On Sunday, August 14, 2011, Pastor Johnnie Bradley of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church ordained Rosario Hernandez. Pastor Bradley also commissioned Pastor Hernandez and the core group of Iglesia de El Shaddai, a Hispanic church plant. The service was conducted in English and Spanish with Pastor Rosario's daughter translating the service for the Spanish speakers. It was a inspiring service to see the members of Shiloh supporting this new congregation of Hispanic believers, most all of them are new converts and excited about this new ministry and salvation itself. Iglesia de El Shaddai currently have twenty-five members and have secured a temporary meeting place. Pastor Hersey Hammons III and the Living Word Community Church of Seagoville, Texas, have welcomed this new congregation to meet in their church until they find a permanent home. Iglesia de El Shaddai is ministering to unchurched Hispanic population in Seagoville. This church plant is the first church whose focus is on the Spanish speaking Hispanic population in Seagoville. Pastor Bradley stated, "We know that church planting is in direct connection to God’s commandment. The members of Shiloh, along with myself, are excited to help spread The Word of the Lord both near and far as stated in Acts 1:8. We look with eager anticipation to hear Pastor Rosario's testimony of those whose lives have been touched through our commitment to the Word
of God! For this reason we commissioned Pastor Rosario just as Paul commissioned Titus!" "The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor. For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building." ~1 Corinthians 3: 8-9

Patience is putting up with peoples’ problems; ignorance is putting up with peoples’ perspectives
Out of the Eyes of a Layman “Christian Stewardship” John 9:4
F
irst of all; what is stewardship? Stewardship Gene Turner means that one has been put over the operation of another persons holding, or possessions. Not only to be in charge, but to build or produce more than was turned over to him. In John 9:4 Jesus tells of his own personal purpose and what He must do, but more than that He gives us direction of what we should be about who will be with Him in the Kingdom. This is a declaration, which identifies work of the Christian and its purpose. We are all called by God to do a certain work within Kingdom building, but we must recognize that calling and respond to it by working the works of Him who sends us out. The next part of this statement: “ While it is day,” suggests to us that there are restrictions as to the time we have to do this work. When we look at the word “Day”: speaking in the context it means opportunity. You see, we only have the opportunity to do a lot of things during daylight hours, seeing without obstructions. Daylight hours only last for a certain time during a 24-hour period, so, it is important that we work diligently while the sun is up in order that we might be able to see what we are doing. You see when things are going well with us, we must not forget that things will not always be well, there will be some dark hours, so, we should do all we can while we are able to do them. You know, we are always tempted to forget what comes after a sunny “Day”. We forget that the sun will not always be high in the sky and always shining. Once the day is gone it cannot be recalled again, so, we must work as much as we can that Day. Our lives will not go on forever, so we must work His will while we have the opportunity to work His works. Too many good deeds go undone, many kind words go unsaid, too many great
potentials go untested, and simply because of opportunities we failed to capitalize on. Many of us misuse our sunlight. We simply waste sunlight being idle. Today will never be again, it cannot be recalled, so we must work while it is “Day”: Jesus makes this statement so as to bring about a sense of urgency to our minds, it was meant to be a challenge to us that we might understand the importance of doing the best we can while we can. Our potential to serve depends upon the willingness to take advantage of opportunities. We as Laymen in the church should work to save our young men while we have the opportunity to do so. You know what most of us think? We think working in the church is the work we should be doing. Yes, we should work in the church, but let us not get it mixed up with the work of the church. You hear people say things like, “ sing for the Lord child”, She/he should not be singing for the Lord, the Lord does not need your singing, and He needs your willingness to work his works. Whatever we do in the church or on the church grounds should be for praise only. When we give praise to God on Sunday morning, because that’s the only time some of us go anyway – that’s what we should do to let God know that we appreciate what He has already done for us as an individual. That’s not working for God that’s praising God. When you help someone who cannot help him or herself or when you lead others to Christ, then we are working while it is “Day”. When night cometh no man can work. Night means Days end. It’s going to come no matter what happens. Our day will end some dark night, so, let’s work while it is “Day”! Let us not forget to read our Bibles. May God bless you real good, and may He ever keep you in His loving care.

Living your life based on Inspiration
I
n our fast-paced society many people are completely overwhelmed and often feel their lives as being empty and meaningless. Every day looks like “Groundhog Day” repeating over and over again the same patterns and you wonder why. In average we are Geraldine thinking 60,000 thoughts Davidson-Hooker a day, but the real problem is we are repeating the same thoughts thus getting the same results. We are living our lives mostly based on fear and obligation. In our society we were trained for the "Survival of the Fittest", were told what to think and to live up to the expectations of others around us. Whose life do you live? Did you ever ask that question? The good news is that there is much more to life than we realize in our daily hectic schedule! We are driven by the effects in our outer world which we created in the first place. You probably heard it already: The Law of Attraction. We attract into our lives what we think and feel about all day long. No exception. If your thoughts are focusing all day long on the lack you believe you have that is what you are getting: More lack! The Law of Attraction works and matches your predominant thoughts bringing into your life the things of the same kind of energy your thoughts are. Thoughts become things! You are in control! unfortunately most of us are always running on autopilot. In other words we are sub-consciously thinking based on our belief-system and our conditioning of the past! Our mind is set up in a way to always recognize patterns and follow them. A Life based on Inspiration is the total opposite of fear and obligation. It means you live based on Joy and Love. Your whole world around you is going to change once you reached that stage and there will be no more that feeling of emptiness. Why do we feel empty and often lonesome anyway? Because in our belief-system we anchored that we all are separate beings disconnected from each other. That’s what we call our “reality”, but it is only the effects created by us in the outer world triggering that feeling. By no means are we “disconnected”; in fact we are all connected together and of course we are connected to “Source-Energy,, to all that is or in other words to God. It is only the perception we have that leads us into this feeling of being “lonesome”.

Notes From Union Hope
O
ur church school lesson was “From Generation to Generation” Proverbs 4:10-15, 20-27.In this lesson Solomon is teaching his children how to Eld Lloyd T. Morgan shun peer pressure. He taught them to be mindful of the places they go, the company they keep, and the words they speak. Although Solomon lived thousands of years ago his lesson of life is as needed today as they were then. This past week we saw on T.V. the violence that is in the hearts of some of our young people when a mob of them gathered on I20 & Polk St and beat one boy and destroyed property. It was disturbing to see what violence our children are capable of. Sunday was our youth Ministry’s Annual day under the leadership of Sis.Ebony Smith. The youth presented a musical in their celebration. We thank God for the youth of union Hope who have accepted the
challenge of their theme “Young; yet committed”. 2Tim.3:15. Pastor Morgan used their theme for his morning message. It seemed good that we not only celebrate with them, but also to encourage them to commit to and remain committed to Christ and his church. We are living in a time when it’s seem that it is more popular to be a convicted felon then to be a committed Christian and a law abiding citizen; a time when street credits are more important to young black children than a good education and Christian character. All too often we have children that was brought up in church and taught the scriptures but the moment they get away from home they toss aside all they have been taught and succumb to peer pressure and practice things that they know are against everything they have been taught. St Paul tells Timothy to Continue: —you cannot live a committed Christian life unless you continue in the things you have been taught. So the capital word in this injunction is without a doubt “continue.” Be Blessed!

e pray to God in the name of Jesus because God is the central in prayer. The more he means to us the more prayer will mean to us, for prayer is the response of our hearts to Him. Pastor Clarence Henderson Why do we reach out to Him? Well, we reach out to Him for His love and understanding. We seek Him also for His protection. The Psalmist in Psalms number 17 needed God because of the wicked that opposed him, his deadly enemies who encompassed him. His enemies were like our enemies, tremendously real and dangerous. But there is no enemy that can touch us when we are under the shadow of His wings. “If God be for us, who can be against us? Greater is He that is in us, than he that is in the world.”

He had twenty six people to join on that first day of Sunday service.

In February, 2006, a new Edifice was constructed next door to the Mesquite Valley Church, located at 1501 Clay Mathis Rd., Mesquite, TX with the prayers and financial support of the original members and seed givers that wanted to be blessing to the up-building of God’s kingdom. Calvary Temple was blessed to acquire and now own property at 1401 Clay Mathis Rd., with one Church and two Campuses with over four hundred members. Calvary Temple has completed the first 2 phases of the 3 part vision that God gave to the Pastor and First Lady. The 1st phase was to construct our current Edifice. Part 2 was to open a Christian Daycare Center “Calvary Kid’s Christian Learning Center”, which includes an after school and summer program for kids and to assist the community in training up our children in the way they should go. Part 3 plans are to build a larger Sanctuary, add a Community Gymnasium and update the Daycare to an Academy/Charter School. Dr. Willis is the Pastor and founder of the Calvary Temple Community Church in Mesquite, Texas. He is one of the most profound Bible teachers of this time; his messages are always full of truth, anointing and wisdom. First Lady Dr. Trina D. Willis is the Co-Founder of the Calvary Temple Community Church in Mesquite, TX, where her husband, Dr. W.R. Willis is Pastor and Founder. She is the owner of the Trina D. BarBerShOP talk with leON SiMON
T
here is an old axiom in the NFL, “you can’t win in the NFL without a Quarterback.” The Green Bay Packers won most of their Championships with Leon Simon Bart Starr. Brett Favre came along and won one and then comes Aaron Rodgers. San Francisco won with Joe Montana and Steve Young. The Steelers won with Terry Bradshaw and Ben Roethelesberger. I’ve always thought that that Troy Aikman’s best asset was he was humble enough to turn the game over to Emmitt Smith. That’s exactly the reason Dan Moreno couldn’t win. Dan couldn’t suppress his ego enough to allow a running back to share in the responsibility of
page 8
winning a game. John Elway eventually gave in to Terrell Davis and won a couple. Roger Staubach, Troy Aikman are responsible for all the Cowboys’ Championships. Roger was Captain Comeback. There was always that mystery… What will Roger do to pull this game out? Troy was in a unique situation he might have had the best closer in the history of the league (Emmitt Smith). So Troy kept himself out of the outcome by letting Emmitt close. Brady James made one of the most prophetic statements ever, when he said this team had a lot of guys that came to the Cowboys with a sense of entitlement. Super Bowl comes with being a Cowboy. I think Tony Romo thinks being a Cowboy Quarterback means Hall of Fame. Tony is too big a hurdle for this young team to overcome each week. When ever this team gets to the 4th quarter you have to coach against Tony getting involved in the out come of games. Since 1960 the Cowboys have had a 14 point lead going into the 4th quarter. 240 times and had never lost a game. Tony did it so effortlessly.
www.dfwelitenews.com
Makes me believe he’ll do it again and soon. “Big time players make big time plays in big time situations” Like wise losers have a way of losing. I think bad luck or misfortune comes along every now and then. I think it visits Tony Romo way too often to be bad luck or misfortune. I’m beginning to believe its DNA. Tony can’t win if he’s the one responsible for winning. unless the Boyz develop and stick with a running game; Tony’s arm could be strong enough to carry this team, but I don’t think his mental make up is. I don’t think he visualizes himself being a winner. Staubach saw himself as a winner and everybody that talked to him saw it too. Tony has a subdued nature, walks with his head down too much. I think today would not be too soon to start looking for a replacement. I think Tony is a step down from Danny White, Craig Morton, Steve Pelluer. He’s just a player, not an elite player by no means. With those glass bodies they have at corner back, and that loser at Quarterback, Jason Garrett’s got way too much weight to carry around.

Starpower 10th Annual Invitational Golf Tournament Benefitting the Nancy Lieberman Foundation By Jordan Blair
ELITE NEWS PuBLISHER
P
rosper, Texas - Monday, September 12, 2011, was the sight for the 10th Annual Starpower Invitational Golf Tournament benefitting the Nancy Lieberman Foundation. I had the opportunity to play in this tournament as a guest of Dave Pidgeon and his family, the leaders and the best in entertainment systems. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The vision of the Nancy Lieberman Foundation is to be the catalyst for the development of young girls and boys throughout the country by using basketball as a motivational tool, and is dedicated to expanding and ensuring sports opportunities for youth through her basketball camps and clinics. Founded in 1995, Starpower was established to provide clients with the ultimate experience in high-end custom installations of audio, video, security and electronic automation. Not only does Starpower recruit and train each member of their installation team to their very high standards, they also carry the best brands of audio and visual equipment. According to Starpower, they look at the word “customer,” and see the word “custom.” They put their customers first in every custom installation, because they listen carefully to make sure they understand what each client wants in an entertainment system. Just as important, Starpower listens and pays careful attention to the

client’s budget expectations, so that they both will know Starpower golf extravaganza, don’t die and go to heaven what to expect concerning the client’s entertainment until you do. dreams. Starpower’s priority is to create a unique theHats off to Starpower and the Pidgeon family for the ater experience without creating disruption to the exist- tremendous work that you continue to do in the commuing home or workplace. nities that you serve. Over the last 10 years, Dave Pidgeon and the Pidgeon family have benefited various organizations through this golf tournament, as they put on one the best golf tournaments in North Texas. They give away tremendous prizes at every hole on the golf course, from 1 through 18. Each year, a helicopter drops balls containing golfers’ names’ and five lucky golfers get a chance to shoot for $1,000,000,000. One hole had a $20,000 hole-in-one, of which $10,000 went to a charity and $10,000 to the golfer. This tournament speaks volumes about the Pidgeon family and Starpower and what they continue to do in the communities in which they serve. A few of this year’s special guest golfers were Roger B. Brown and Flip the Bird (KKDA sports talk show host and assistant host, respectively), Mark Aguire (former Dallas Mavericks basketball player) and actor Richard Roundtree. If you have Roger B Brown (Sports Talk Show), David Pidgeon (Star never had the opportunity to experience a Power), and Jordan Blair (Elite News Publisher)

Tips for the Gospel Music Artist

Darrell King
Do the Possible, Let God Handle the Rest
H
ave you ever wondered why secular music artists seem to progress much faster than gospel artists? The answer is simple. Many gospel artists lack drive. God is omnipresent and I know that we can do all things through Christ which is our source of strength but too many gospel artists use this fact as an excuse to stop themselves from putting in work. I am reminded of growing up in my grandfather’s church. After every sermon, my grandfather would have an altar call and encourage people to come up for prayer. People would come up and ask him to pray that they find a job. Before praying, he would ask them if they had been looking for a job. Some of them would reply, “not really.” He would then explain to them that God will bless you with a job but you must do your part and look for a job. This means you must get
www.dfwelitenews.com
up, get dressed and go fill out applications. He would then explain that God feeds the birds but if the bird never makes an effort to get out of the nest, it will starve. In the same manner, I would advise gospel artists to be prepared to put in work. Don’t just expect your career to take off while you are sitting around waiting on God to open doors for you. You may have to promote yourself by putting out hundreds of flyers. You might have to make hundreds of calls to radio stations to try to get your CD into rotation. Nothing good comes easy. Stop using the “I’m a Christian and God controls everything around me” excuse. Do everything in your power to make it happen and allow God to handle the things beyond your power. GREGG A. SMITH’s BACKYARD SPOTLIGHT
Welcome to the weekend, BABY! Okay, just keeping it real...I am just recovering from Game 1 of the Dallas C o w b o y s season...unless you’ve been in your bariatric chamber, you Kevan Browning know the underdog Cowboys went to N.Y. and played a huge game. The back drop was the climax of the 9/11 weeke n d ! Lets face it, even Vegas was saying the Boyz were almost 1 touchdown underdogs! That was what “they” thought...They being sports writers, Radio/TV pontificators and yes uS, the common fan! Thank goodness the Cowboys did not believe the hype! The Cowboys lost a game by 3 points, they could have easily won by 10! Who believed the Cowboys offensive line with 3 rookies starting would not get Tony Romo Killed by a highly touted Rex Ryan defense? Hats off to Tyson, Smith, Phil Costa and Bill Nagy...Who thought the Rob Ryan defense, that showed little during the pre-season and riddled with injuries would fight like mad men in the Big Apple? Sad the way it ended...My 1st time to really doubt Tony Romo, but it was only one game...I think the San Franscisco 49’ers are this weekend, but I am not sure...I am just recovering from game 1 and a historic night in New York City! Question, are you saving your dollars for the State Fair of Texas? The “BIG SHOW” runs Sept. 30th thru October 23rd. Make sure and get a copy of the 9/23 and 9/30 Elite News as Tony Romo we’ll be highlighting cool fair tidbits and official info. I am anxious to sample the “Fried Bubble Gum”,LOL!!! Fellas, let me talk to ya...Is this you??? Terrence Howard might be in a sticky situation. The actor allegedly made a threat-
ening message on a stranger’s voicemail about calling his wife. “N**ga, you been calling my wife… If you call my wife again I’m going to come to your house and I’m going to cut your f***ing throat,” Terrence says in the message. “understand that. I’m gonna tell you this one time. You call my wife again, I’m going to kill you.” A man’s Momma , Wife and kids are offlimits...turns out this was a response to a prank call gone bad...I won’t go into details, but Terrance Howard has not for gotten his hood, lol! Speaking of taking care of Mama......Michael Jackson’s estate has generated more than $310 million in the two years since the pop singer died deeply in debt, enabling executors to distribute a preliminary payment of $30 million to Jackson’s mother and children, and Terrence Howard to unnamed charities! OK, it’s stretch, but the new and improved Bobby Brown & Whitney Houston may be hitting the airwaves soon. Would you watch??? Heck yeah! Joe Simmons, also known as, Run of the world renowned Run DMC, has his son Diggy out there with Great Expectations, why not Bobbi Kristina? The world would expect her to bus’ out the gate with a hit too....Last I checked , you could peep Bobbi Kristina on Youtube...Finally from the SMH category”:::Politico.com reports that ABC has obtained rights to audio footage where Jackie Onassis Kennedy is saying that she heard that Martin Luther King not only planned the March on Washington in 1963, but also planned for an ”orgy in the hotel” during the weekend. She probably got wind of it because she was worried her husband was invited. Happy Birthday to YOu and Celebs this week:Lola Falana is 68 and this years richest(130 Million in 2011) man in entertainment according to Entertainment Tonight, Mr. Tyler Perry is 42! Tony Romo Chokes & Cowboys Lose Special to Elite News
I
f you are wondering why we use the word “choke” when we refer to Tony Romo, it is because it is defined as, “A block or wedge placed under something else, such as a wheel, to keep it from moving.” The Dallas Cowboys have moved at times, but more often than not, they have been kept from moving. So, is Tony Romo literally choking the Cowboys out of a chance to reach the Super Bowl? He seems to choke exactly when the pressure is on to make a big play or score a touchdown, precisely when he does not need to make any mistakes. Superstars learn from regular season blunders and should have them worked out by playoff season. Is Tony Romo a Superstar or just a good player? The Dallas Cowboys have been searching for a quarterback to lead the Dallas Cowboys back to the Super Bowl since the retiring of Troy Aikman. Romo seems to choke right when we need him the most and this is coming from a true die hard Cowboy fan. Romo has been surrounded by Pro Bowl and play-makers but he can’t seem to get his team to a championship game. The Cowboy organization signed Tony Romo to a tender 6 year, $67,400,000 contract until 2013 to be an elite quarterback. At the time Dallas began starting Romo, the Cowboy’s got exactly what they needed, a QB to tem-

porarily evade the rush when taking over after Drew Bledsoe. A time to remember is the January 6, 2007 fumble snap against the Seattle Seahawks. One simple kick and we were moving on to the next game. Tony Romo dropped a good snap on a potential Martin Gramatica 19-yard field goal with 1:14 to play that would have given the Dallas Cowboys the lead. Inches and seconds away from their first playoff win since 1996. Instead, the Cowboys saw their season collapse by the score of 2120, at the hands of the Seattle Seahawks in front of a crowd of 68,058 at Qwest Field, which still hurts to this day. On December 28, 2008, in a third playoff game, Romo and the Cowboys failed to compete against the Philadelphia Eagles in a 44–6 loss. Romo committed three turnovers in the game and went 21/39 for 183 yards and no touchdowns. The loss dropped Romo’s combined record in December to 5–8, and again raised questions concerning Romo’s performance in games of consequence. During the 2010 season, Romo choked against the Minnesota Vikings in a 1 interception, 2 fumble, 22/35 for 198 yds. passing performance against his mentor and aging 40-year-old Bret Farve. Romo is known for throwing five interceptions in 1 game against the Buffalo Bills (4 in the first half, 2 of which were

returned for touchdowns), and lost a fumble. He is the second person in the history of Monday Night Football to throw five interceptions in a winning effort. You have to clear your throat just to have a conversation about whether Romo is an elite quarterback or not, because he puts up Superstar numbers, but he makes a list of bad decision at the wrong times.
Do you think Romo is the one? Let us know? page 19
